Are there really Wedding Crashers out there?

I saw the movie, Wedding Crashers a couple of months ago and I was wondering if Wedding Crashers really exist and what they do.

1. well you watched the movie, you know what they do, and i'd assume a couple people probably do it, especially after seeing that.
2. yes there are out there, my cousin is a crasher and she stopped or destroyed her ex-boyfriend wedding.
3. People who can't be bothered to control their guest list deserve to have their reception "crashed". An invitation should be sent to each and every guest, by name. The only exception is married couples (live-togethers and gay unions are considered married for this purpose). Give your guests free rein to bring guests of their own, with such open-ended invitations as "and guest" or "and family", and you can hardly complain when your event is more like a disco than a private affair for your family and dear friends.
