Wedding Ceremony!!!?

During a wedding ceremony, does the minister acknowledge the couple bride first or groom first throughout?????? For instance........ Corinthians one says that love is patient and kind. It is not jealous or boastful, not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way. It does not rejoice in the wrong, but rather rejoices in the right. Love bears all things; believes all things; hopes in all things; and endures all things. Love never ends. This marriage is a symbol of _____________________and____________________’s commitment to that love. Who's name would go first???

Public Comments

  1. Well its always the groom on TV
  2. the bride is given away to the groom and then the groom says his vows first.
  3. It is tradition to say the man's name first because you are now part of his family. You take his name and you are now Mr & Mrs. John Smith (or whatever the grooms name is)
  4. Like the poster above me said it is tradition to say his name first, but if you want yours said first you need to probably just ask the officient to change it for you.
  5. The groom is first.
  6. Traditionally the groom is acknowledged first.
  7. I would use the groom name first if I wanted. If you want your name first use yours. There is no set rule. Most people would say groom first, but it sounded better with my name first.
  8. I know of an excellent wedding photographers and videographers. The name of the company is LCDphotography. They are internationally recognized and have a great portfolio of previous weddings they have done online. http://www.lcdphotography.com
