What are some wedding ceremony ideas- not performed in a church?

I am brainstorming ideas of where to have a wedding ceremony. -not in a church, not necessarily outside (because of the worry about rain) but i would take places into consideration, and i have a large guest list (300 or so). I would also like this wedding to take place in Ohio around/near the Findlay, Oh area.

1. Meg, you could rent out a school gym....it has ample room to seat your guest list (on the bleachers) for the ceremony(which happens on the game floor in front of the bleachers), and afterwards your guests and groom + bride could make their way to the appointed tables, which are set up behind the curtain that separates the wedding from the reception area!! Or you could checkout a Movie Theatre if they rent out and hold the wedding on the raised stage with the guests seated in the seats.... and hold the reception in the lobby with set-up tables, and the food could be prepared ahead of time and served buffet style. (I like the first idea better, 'cuz I've seen how messy looking a buffet-styled meal can get.)
2. Check out golf clubs. They usually have a way to have a covered wedding. I'm going to do my wedding at a golf club, and they do have an alternative of a tent if there is rain.
