wedding accessories?
ok we are having a buffet style lunch, carved turkey, roasted potatoes, corn, green bean cassorale, rolls and butter, we were originally planning on doing a bbq and i dont really want to buy "real" plates and all so would it be ok to do some good dixie plates and we are having like tea and soda in the bottles and cans do i still need to get some cups and can those also be dixie brand? or do i need to get the real thing? also, its semi formal/ casual nothing too fancy!!

- Dixie is actually a good brand, and the designs (in the right stores) will look great. Besides, it saves money and is sure-proof of accidents. For a semi-formal event they will do well! It would be a good idea to get cups too, because some of the guests may prefer a cup to a can.
- I would suggest the clear plastic plates and matching clear plastic dinner ware. They look a little nicer than the plain white or flowered paper plates. You can usually get these in bulk at your local party store. Good luck!
- Get the dixie plates. You don't want to have to do all those dishes do you? Local dollar stores even sell colored ones then you can match them with your wedding, go for the plastics utensils too. You figure you spend 30 bucks at a dollar store and have cups, plates, bowls and utensils for everyone. Saves money and makes the clean up sooo much easier.
- If its casual then dixie plates and such is fine
- we bought paper plates in the wedding colors...even if you had it catered they would use paper....
- dixie is perfect and inexpensive
- There is nothing wrong in using paper plates. I found that Chinet also puts out a plastic plate that is clear. It's called "Chinet Cut Crystal". I bought mine at Target. As for cups, I agree that you should have some & throw away cups is fine. Again, you can find those in clear at Sam's for a good price. Sam's also has the clear throw away plates.
