Does anyone know any newer christian songs that would be good for a wedding ceremony?
My friend is singing during our ceremony. She is a christian singer but i wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions. Our wedding is a very elegant formal wedding and mostly classical music will be used for the prelude and throughout the wedding . THanks!

- "how I need you Lord"
- WIND BENEATH MY WINGS!!!!!!!
- lord I lift your name on high
- mws the other side of me. it's as beautiful as they come in my book
- "A Page Is Turned" by Bebo Norman. Lyrics and a sample of the song here: http://music.yahoo.com/Bebo-Norman/A-Page-Is-Turned/lyrics/1727265#lyricstop
- Bless the Broken Road. I think Rascall Flats did it, but the lyrics are very Christian and also very appropriate for a wedding. Some friends of mine used it in their wedding during the unity candle lighting and their ceremony was in a Baptist church where they had strict restrictions on the music you can play. The whole crowd was in tears by the time the song was over. I bawled like a baby. Look it up on itunes or rhapsody and listen. I think you'll like it.
- I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I'm doing the whole church thing as well. Here are a couple songs that we are including. I Will Be Here, Steven Curtis One Friend, Dan Seals Parent's Prayer Love of My Life Give Me Forever (I Do) You can also do a search for church music online. When you do searches thousands of songs will come up. Good luck!!!
- This is not necesarrily a Christian song, but I am Christian and I think it could be very appropriate. I would definitely use it in my wedding. "Lost in This Momemt" by Big & Rich..country song but one of the verses says "bow our heads while the preacher talks to Jesus".........
- Psalm23 by Jeff Majors He plays the harp in the song..makes it very beautiful.
