Whats the best way to transition from a wedding ceremony to reception if they are in the same room?
We are marrying in a large mostly glass room with a moderately sized balcony over a lake and we are trying to switch from ceremony seating arrangements (rows of seats) to pulling out tables and using the same chairs at the tables. It is a small wedding, around 50 people and we need to get the people out of the room to rearrange, but dont know how. we are not using complete place settings, its a buffet. (tables are folded up in a closet beforehand).

- If you have another small room available, get everyone in there with a few drinks, while you re-set the main room
- i've been to one of these and the best way to do it is to keep the seats as elegant circular tables. who needs pews? not you. the wedding i went to was just as beautiful even when we all went to the buffet line. and you can dismiss everyone by tables. also this way you can mix families and start conversations over the round tables. hope this helps.
- Is the room big enough to have the tables already set up that way you could have drinks out on the balcony while the groomsmen or somebody pull chairs upto the tables!
