Would this outfit be ok to wear to the wedding ceremony?
Next weekend we have a wedding to attend. The ceremony is at 1pm in a church. I'd like to wear a skirt (navy w/tan,red and white horizontal stripes on the very bottom) and a red blazer with flip flops. Would this be an ok outfit? I plan on going home after the ceremony and changing into a dress for the 6pm reception. Any suggestions?

- No I think something a little fancier would be better.
- i think its too colorful for church
- flip flops would totally kill the outfit..sorry try some navy white or red sandals
- The skirt seems perfect, but flip-flops maybe a little to "casual".. instead try a fancier flip flop with small of a heel, or stick the the usual high heels (or even ballet flats). Maybe instead of the red blazer match it with a different colored stripe on the skirt, like white, and wear white red shoes and accessories to match the red stripes. You could also try going a little bit more dressy and wearing a dress (just a suggestion), but it should'nt be too short or a bright color.
- yes the outfit would be fine... it just depends on the religion of the person who is getting married.
- nope. sounds perfect.
- It depends on the wedding. I went to an informal wedding this past Saturday and I was going to wear flip flops but my darling friends and family informed me it was tacky so i wore ballet flats. What type of wedding is it or better yet where?
- Why dont you just wear the same dress to the reception and wedding?
- Sounds cute..except the flipflops. The blazer sounds too dressy for the shoes, but a cute idea for the wedding. Do you have any red ballet flats? Famous Footwear had some and Payless always has cute shoes:) Catholic churches prefer no open toes on the alter...you may not be going up there, but something to think about. Have fun!
- too colorful .. turn it down... maybe wear a fitted tan or white skirt.. with anything for a top very FORMAL and formal shoes P.S. EVERYTHING u wear SHOULD be FITTED when i say fitted i mean kind of tight on u
- Well ,the rule i go by is dress more formal for the wedding cermony than the reception. flrp flops dont seen well suited for church. try low heels in tan or any color that keeps eyes away from your feet because it sounds as if you already have too much happening on top.
- flip flops are not wedding appropriate unless your on a beach or something. find something slightly dressier.
- Well this is a little tricky, but i think you need to dress it up more, especially since you're going to be in a church. Flip-flops will just not do for a wedding! Maybe a nice wedge or kitten heel if you're not into pumps. But i think the dress should come out at the wedding! Have fun!
- no, i would wear flats instead and change the skirt for something with no designs.
