- First of all congrats, Second your husband loves you. And third if you feel comfy go for it. Your only here once..........LOL
- I think they're gorgeous, but I really think you do need to have a toned upper body otherwise the maxi dresses add a lot of extra bulk. Most maxi dresses have no shape, and since they go to ankle length, it's hard to look slim. http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=8P-225738&page=2&cgname=OSCLODRSVIL&rfnbr=2667 Ignore the color. But something like this with detailing (empire waist) and halter will give you a waist and still that coverage that you seek from a maxi dress. http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=8P-220947&page=3&cgname=OSCLODRSVIL&rfnbr=2667 See, a maxi dress really wouldn't do anything for you. So unless you do have defined shoulders, then they're not a good idea. **However, if you took a belt and put it at waist level, then you'd actually give yourself a shape and it would be more flattering. Personally, I think something like this would be more flattering, it would give you coverage and comfort of a maxi dress too. http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=8P-208238&page=11&cgname=OSCLODRSVIL&rfnbr=2667 I find that the maxi dress does work best on tall thin people (but isn't everything that way?!). You're definitely not too old or fat, but I just think it may not be the most flattering option.
- Yes! Get a maxi dress - they're still very in this summer. Carrie wore one in the Sex and the City film and she's in her forties. Make sure you get a very long one, down almost to the floor, as it will be slimming, and one that flatters your bust - an empire line would be perfect. Greens and blues would be great with your hair - or pink if you're feeling daring - perhaps a broken up colour like a tie dye or floral pattern. And strut your stuff in Las Vegas - have a great 25th wedding anniversary! :)
- With those measurements, you should be a knock-out anywhere! Basic, no frills, black dress....your coloration demands that color! You will bring that black color to places it's never been...it'll POP! Less is more...if you have a 'drop' Swerdersky necklace, silver, that's all you need. You GO, girl!!
- Well a maxi dress as opposed to a mini dress Is long. So If you have anything to hide the maxi dress will do It . Now the mini dress on the other hand you would have to be thinner to pull It off. They show everything.
- I am a little bigger(in size) than you, but i am a few years younger, and i have one of those maxi dress, i look really georgous in it, and the good thing about it is, that is looks good with heels or flats. about color, use your favourite color, the color that looks best on you, also geometric print is also in style.
