How can I melt a Platinum Wedding Band Ring into a new ring?

I am going through a divorce and I thought that it would be a good Idea to have the ring melted into a new style..does anyone one know where I can do this?

2. It will be easier and cheaper to just get a new mounting for the jewels in the ring or have the jewels mounted onto a new ring--selling the old mount to off-set the cost.
