- Nothing, it's just semantics. A wedding ring and a wedding band are two different names for the same piece of jewelry- a ring worn on the fourth finger of the left hand to symbolize marriage.
- i'im curious to know it !
- Band just refers to the type of ring - the traditional kind that you see most often in the west. Of course, a wedding ring need not be a band, so you can use the more general term to denote that.
- There isn't a difference. Both refer to the same piece of jewelry that is put on the ring finger during the wedding ceremony.
- No difference, they are just two words for the same thing. I prefer to say band because it is a more distinctive piece of jewelry. A ring can be anything.
- Wedding ring, you wear on your finger....Wedding band you dance too...
- I would say the band refers to the plain gold band that has no ornamentation on it that used to be more popular and a bit more affordable and a ring has more carving, stones and ornamentation.
- A wedding ring has diamonds in it and a band is just a band. It has no diamonds.
- nothing, just certain ways people call them. A ring and a band is the same, its the round shape!
- One you wear on your finger and the other plays music at your reception ;)
