How or where do you fuse a wedding band and engagement ring together???
I recently got married and I do not want to ruin my engagment ring. There is a leaf design on it and if I were to have the jewlery store fuse them together then I may damage the design. However, if I do not fuse them together then my design will be rubbed off by my wedding band. Does anyone know an alternative other then melting them together on the bottom???

- Did you go to the jewler. They have a little piece of gold they can attach to the ring to hold them together. My moms ring was like that. Check into it.
- Take your rings to your local jeweler. They can do it there for you.
- Wear your engagement ring on your right hand and your wedding band on the left. If you really want to fuse them, go to a jeweler and ask. Make sure it's a reputable one first!
- I dont recommend joining them permantently, you have to think of the long run and I promise in the future, especially after you have kids you will NOT want to wear your engagement ring all the time. You will be cleaning toilets, doing dishes, changing poopy diapers, all kind of things that will pose some sort of risk to the diamond, and also the first time you scratch the baby's head with the ring you will feel so badly and put the ring away only to be taken out on a special occasion.
- I agree that "fusing" them together permanently is HUGE mistake. As I sit here typing this, I am wearing only my wedding band. I have an 11 month old, and sometimes the simple act of changing his clothes can lead to scratches from my engagement ring. I have a nice big gouge on my right hand from my engagement ring that happened just the other day when I was trying to get his pants on him. He was squirming all over the place. Luckily, I am the one who got scratched, but it could just as easily have been him. And to scratch that baby soft skin would be heartbreaking. That engagment ring is going to have to come out only for special occasions! Reconsider, or get some sort of temporary attachment. You will change your mind later in life.
- I dont like the idea of souldering rings. I think it ruins them, then you cant wear one alone. And if you have daughters in the future and you wish to leave each of them a ring in your will, you will have to get them separated. It also detracts from the value of the rings. I was married for 15 years. I had a wedding band with a beautiful cherry pattern on it. It was 18 carat gold and I wore my engagement ring and eternity ring with it. The pattern is as good today as the day I married. Unfortunately I am divorced now, but it is still a beautiful ring.
- Any jeweller can solder them together. However, think long and hard before doing this - lots of women regret it later... because there may come a time you just want to wear your wedding band alone.
