  1. If possible re-create your Honey moon or your first date. A gift? Buy yourself something sexy to wear, men love that!!!
  2. Go on a trip. If you have lots of &&, go on a tour of the west coast from Seattle to California...if not, go camping or to a bed&breakfast..he will love that you planned it and that it was all for him. Go somewhere for sure, though.
  3. Order a small cake from the bakery that made your wedding cake. Make sure it's the same flavor with the same style of decorative frosting and it will be a huge romantic hit :)
  4. Well, of course, some of this depends on how much money you can spend, but the best gift is going to be whatever speaks to his tastes. It’s definitely a big occasion, and my first anniversary is coming up, too, so I feel where you’re coming from. Anyways, here are some ideas. The traditional first anniversary gift is “paper” – you can get creative with this. Get him tickets to a sports game, a play, a concert, or anything else he might want to attend – and go with him, even if you hate basketball or whatever he happens to like. You could even make a trip out of it, depending on where the event is. You could also get him a cool piece of art. Even if you don’t go with this “theme,” write him a nice letter or a card, telling him how much you love him and why. As for other ideas… Depending on what he likes, you could buy him a book or some music. You can recreate your first date, or the day you got engaged, or your honeymoon – depending on money and specifics, you could even take him back to one of those places (second honeymoon?). Try to think about whether there’s something he’s always wanted to do – (go skydiving? take a hot-air balloon ride?) and do it. Try to go somewhere, even if it’s just overnight, but preferably for a longer period of time; it can be close (“sightsee” in your own area) or farther away, it all depends on you. Whatever you do, try to personalize it to your husband, and it’ll be great. :o)
