What is the appropriate 1st wedding anniversary gift for my wife?

4. Whatever you buy her won't mean as much as poem you could write her. I still have every card that a guy has given me since I was 15. It will show you care if comes from the heart & not the store.
5. A nice intimate dinner where you can talk. Maybe some flowers. Making all the arrangements yourself and surprising her would be very special.
6. i would say jewelry (tennis bracelet, necklace, ring....with the anniversary date printed somewhere on it)

8. Well since we don't know your wife, I can tell you what my husband did for me. He told me on a Friday night that the next morning we were leaving at 6:00 am for a surprise. So the next morning we get in the car and go ~ we ended up in Chattanooga, TN (3 hours from us) and went to Ruby Falls, Rock City, The Aquarium , then drove back home late that night. It was nice for us just to get away and actually do something together. But if your wife doesn't like spontaneous trips, maybe buy her a day at a local spa, take her on a romantic picnic, buy her some jewelry, make a photo album of your first year together, make her a CD of all the songs that remind you of your first year as husband and wife....etc.
9. The Traditional 1st wedding anniversary gifts are made of Paper. A Modern 1st wedding anniversary symbol is a Clock.

Darrell...please give her flowers (likely the same kind she had in her bouquet when you got married), write down all the reasons you're happy you married her, take her to dinner & maybe a small piece of jewellery or something else she finds sentimental. Tell her you would marry her again for every anniversary for the rest of your life!

14. I think the first anniversary is paper. My husband always writes me poem's. They are really cheesy but always make me smile and I look forward to them every year. Congrats on your anniversary.
