- For centerpieces you could mirrored trays with candles and pine cones on them. Frosted glass vases or frosted candle holders. Evergreen branches set up like swags/sprays laid in the center of the table with candles. http://www.favorideas.com/learn-about/centerpiece-ideas/six-easy-winter-centerpieces
- Love the color scheme!! Try snowflakes - snowflake ornaments could be favors (even though it will be after Christmas). You could also use them to decorate the tables. Or, see if you can find some small trees that are white and made out of wire or paper maiche, and use twinkle lights to decorate them with. Good luck!
- I am getting married January 24 and doing the same color scheme! :) Sooooo, if you'd like a penpal planner we can bounce ideas off one another over the next several months. For my wedding centerpieces, I will be getting a tall vase and spraying painting long sticks/twigs silver and placing them in the vase with fake ice/glitter and surrounding the arrangement with candles on mirrors. This is VERY inexpensive because you can do most of it yourself and looks very nice. I got the idea from a local wedding planner. Here's a picture that I found so you can visualize it easier. Oh, and here's my email if you want a planning buddy since we have the same color, theme, and month. :) tonya1@hotmail.com http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/TonyaAnnMiller/signature_events_winter_wedding_-1.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/TonyaAnnMiller/signature_events_winter_wedding_gal.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/TonyaAnnMiller/signature_events_winter_wedding_-2.jpg
- white candles,
- I would consider getting the out of town guests blue fleece throw blankets.. if you buy in bulk they should be cheap.. my sister got one for a favor at a Feb sweet 16 last year.. I know when I am staying in a hotel I always with I had a clean blanket to cuddle with..
- Alright... this was my original wedding idea, but grad school and the Air Force are making me change my plans. My idea are a lot of DIY, but you'll save money and they will be completed the correct way. I envision your centerpieces as huge sprays of dark wood branches. http://www.save-on-crafts.com/manzanita2.html You could spray paint them silver, darker, etc... depending on your taste. Next step would be to put some plaster in a shallow vase and secure 3 of those branches in the vase (yes, it's ugly). If you'd like you can spray paint the base or wrap it in fabric. The next thing you'd want to do is buy a TON of crystal beads in bulk in different sizes. Really sparkly ones, so when the lights hits them they glow. I would string those and hang them from the branches you secured in the face. You could use as many or as little as you like. I would personally "drip" them all over the branches. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bridalinsider.com/PhotoSwap/crystal%2520tree.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.bridalinsider.com/photosbycat.asp%3FPhotoCatID%3D3&h=340&w=270&sz=48&hl=en&start=4&um=1&tbnid=dOpuOXkNOAJa3M:&tbnh=119&tbnw=95&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcrystal%2Btree%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN The picture is for inspiration... I'd use clearer crystals, with more sparkle. I think it would be a big wintery feel.. and pretty. On the table I would hide the base of the tree with pillar candles. I would buy 10-20 pillar candles in varying sizes www.candles4less.com and surround the crystal tree. The light would reflect of the crystals and give the room a super warm wintery feel. I would also cluster small votive candles around the table. If you wanted to incorportate white flowers, you can buy roses in bulk (200 roses for 209 dollars) from www.fiftyflowers.com You could either make a very low arrangement to cover the base of the branches in lieu of candles or if you did the candles place a few bud vases on the tables with rose heads in them. Now that I'm thinking about it, you could even incorporate blue beads. To give the room an icy look I'd hire a lighting guy to wash the room in an icy blue color. This isn't very expensive. All you need is some can lights on stands and place a light blue transparent isk over it. If you're worried about the cost of centerpieces you could do them very cheap using more or less beads. There are so many alternatives to this design. If you do not like the branch look, I would visit fiftyflowers.com and pick up some white roses. I'd place a vase with 20 roses at each table with some votives surroudning it (I think from candles4less.com you can get 73 for 30 dollars). In the rose arrangement I would place crystal stems which you could make very cheap. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.genevievemarie.com/images/simplicity2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.genevievemarie.com/simplicityround.html&h=300&w=300&sz=25&hl=en&start=6&um=1&tbnid=Uw5zFkTP0GW1sM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=116&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcrystal%2Bstem%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN All you need is beads and wire. On the site above they are 15 bucks.. for you to make them maybe a dollar. This would give the room another icy look. You could dress up the votives and vases with some blue ribbon wrapped around them. Hope this helps.
- HI, I actually make novelty chocolates & chocolate lollipops for this type of need. I don't have any winter stuff listed right now, but my website address is www.ebaystores.com/cherishs-chocolates An idea that comes to mind right off the bat is silver colored bowl/vase type with blue & white snowflake lollipops arrangedin them, & then you could also do snowflake pieces bagged in cello-bags for favors, or snowmen... I have a bunch of molds that would suit, & I can always get others if needed. I MIGHT even be able to get silver coloring for the chocolate. Depending on how many you'll need i will only need a couple of weeks to make them, so you have plenty of time...
- try www.elliescrafts.co.uk if they dont have it on their website email them and theyll get it for you !!!!!
