Cheap candy/choclate for wedding favors?

I need to fill about 150 favors..they are cone-shaped cellophane bags..the cones are pretty long so i will probably need about 20 wrapped pieces of candy/chocolate per cone. Any idea where I can find CHEAP candy or chocolate...and I mean CHEAP..i'm on a tight budget Or, are there any other ideas on how I can fill the bags with candy/chocolate and something else so I don't need as much of the goodies? Any help would be great..THANKS

  1. Jordan Almonds in netting or M&Ms with a little message on it. Check out their website. Happy Wedding!!!!:)
  2. BJS COSTCO SAMS CLUB should have bags of candy in bulk for a good price!
  3. Jordan Almonds are classy but cheap and you can get them in assorted colours to match your wedding theme. Also you can get customised rock candy (not expensive in bulk with your and your groom's name inside them in various colours, themes and flavours. Just Google rock candy in your area - it's what we did for our wedding but put it in little jars - we tied a ribbon around the neck (you could do that with the bags and put the name/place card attached to the ribbon - all one package...cheers
  4. well the best thing for weddings, or the most used candies are jordan almonds or after dinner mints. you can go to walmart and buy huge bags of either for cheap and just put a handfull in each bag and it will look nice. they come in pastel colors. I used to work retail in a store that sold wedding stuff and lots of brides to be liked those two choices because they are so affordable.
  5. I've seen people use M and M's or Kisses.
  6. Maybe you could mix the chocolate candies up in shredded grass...(kind of like what you put in easter baskets) That would take up more room and you can add your colors.
  7. How about salt water taffy?
  8. Go to the cheapest grocery store in your area. In the Portland area it's Winco. They have bulk bins for candy. I've seen the jordan almonds there along with different kind of mints etc. You could also get some colored paper (probably a color you're using for the wedding) and shred it in your home paper shredder so it looks like that paper craft grass, fill your cones half way with it and fill the rest with candy. Kisses are good because they're so big and take up a lot of room. You can also get those personalized stickers on Ebay or most online wedding stores to stick to the bottom of every other kiss to give it a more personalized touch.
  9. you can just buy m&ms in the big bag or you can go online to a candy warehouse.... http://www.candywarehouse.com/weddingcandy.html?page=all
  10. Here's a link to a place where you can find bulk chocolate candy suggestions http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com/bulk-chocolate-candy.html Of the different sellers listed there, I think Oriental Trading would be the least expensive, but I would definitely check the others if you are looking for something specific. Hope that helps. Have a lovely wedding - Congrats!
  11. try metrocandy.com., bestbuycandy.com or gourmetfoodmall.com which you can get chocolate bars of all kinds with the date of your wedding imprinted on it. Check that one out.
