I need some ideas on unique wedding favors other then candy and mints?

I am getting married in May 2008 and I was going to do a CD with songs on it for a favor and candy in the bags. I still have the candy idea but the CD idea maybe getting expensive the way I wanted to do them and I may change that idea. Does anyone know of any uniquq favor ideas outside of mints, candles, and playing cards.

  1. I like the bookmark idea I read on here.
  2. You could put together your family's and his family's favorite recipes and make a cookbook for your guests. You could use a really nice frame to hold their place card. You could do a favor that coincides with your wedding theme. You could do something that's unique to the city where you are getting married.
  3. My fiancé and I are also getting married in May. Because it is a Spring wedding, we wanted our favours to be Spring-like too. We decided to do little envelopes filled with wildflower seeds. My best friend is also getting married in May, and her and her fiancé are doing baby trees. Hope this helps!
  4. Go to www.wrapwithus.com if you haven't already been there before. They have key chains and bath soaps and all sorts of things that me and my fiance enjoy and we know that they will enjoy too.
  5. What about seeds or bulbs for flowers or herbs, that way your guests can plant them and always have a reminder of your wedding at their home. Personalized coaster set.
  6. Or you can get mini digital camera's ($5.00) or disposable camera's as favors too. That way they can take their own pictures and remember the day as they saw it.
  7. check out this site for some ideas! http://www.favorideas.com/ Flower seed packets Cookie cutters shaped like hearts(http://www.foreverandalways.com/ProductDetails/unique-wedding-favors/cookie-cutters-heart-shaped/170-19-378.htm) I personally thought this was cute....Heart shaped measuring spoons http://www.foreverandalways.com/ProductDetails/unique-wedding-favors/measuring-spoon-wedding-favor/170-19-531.htm
  8. I've enjoyed receiving small picture frames, Christmas ornaments (though not appropriate for your time of year), and specialty tea/coffee. But I have to say I like the CD idea
  9. I am donating to an organization/charity in the honor of my guests. You don't want to waste $ on candy, and stuff they won't or rarely use, This is an honorable favor for your guests, and makes an impact in peoples lives. You just print out cards for each place setting with something starting out like...Mr. and Mrs. (last name) have donated to (organization/charity) in honor of their guests.... I love this idea...you can google stuff about it.
  10. Chocolates in the shape of flowers. Since it is a spring wedding. You could also give them a small bag of choccies, seeds and a lil camera :P

  14. My husband and I did these for our spring wedding last year and all of the guests loved them! http://www.botanicalpaperworks.com/category/Plantable+Seed+Wedding+Favors/3/
  15. We had mini champagne bottles with a label on it saying thanks for sharing out special day with the date and our names and a picture.....You could have it done with wine and other stuff. Very cute and people liked it. I wanted something different too, people actually were able to enjoy it! ~~Good Luck
