Candy Wedding Favors? Where can I find AfterDinner/Butter mints in bulk?

My sister in law is getting married soon and we were in search of Richardson mints to fill some tulle bags we bought. When I got married, they had them at Sam's Club, but they no longer carry them. Does anyone know anywhere I can find some sort of After Dinner, Butter, or other type of yummy mints to fill the favor bags? Or... do you have other ideas for candy favors that would be really cute that I could get? We would like to get them at the lowest cost possible (of course) and are not interested in Jordan Almonds or anything like that (ew). lol Thanks!!

  2. http://www.richardsonbrands.com/c-2-richardson-mints.aspx www.CandyFavorites.com Here are a couple websites I found who sell your richardson mints... you can also do google searches for butter mints, or wedding mints in bulk and there's alot of websites!! Good Luck!! I just found this website... that sells these mints.. in little packages that you can personalize for your wedding!! How cute!! http://www.mintsdirect.com/
  3. An idea for a candy other than the mints you mentioned-- we are having the personalized M and M's made with our names and wedding date. They are a little espensive so to cut costs we're also putting a few Hershey's kisses in the favor bag too, using less of the M and M's. As for where to get the mints, try to google it and see if that gives you any site where you can buy in bulk.
  4. Try bulk food stores like GFS. If that doesn't work, look at discount drug stores. They might not sell them in bulk, but they will be cheap. If not, www.mints-usa.com sells small packaged mints that you can personalize with the wedding date or the initials of the bride and groom. They sell them by the case, there are 1000 packs in a case, and each case has 2 candies in it. The price per case is cheaper the more you buy. Good luck!
  5. See if your local Walmart carries the candy you are looking for. If not, check the grocery store or even the local Farmers Market. Grocery Stores and some Farmers Markets have those "Scoop your own mix" bulk candy bins where you can choose your own selection of hard candies. :)
  6. 2 ideas, first you could probably get the best deal by making them yourselves; here's a site with some recipes: http://www.angelfire.com/bc/incredible/xA1weddingmints.htm Alternatively, you could look at the dollar store for candy that matches the color theme (hershey's kisses in the right color etc.) and tie them up in tulle, or buy those little boxes.
  7. I'd skip it. Put more money into the food, flowers or music. 1/2 the people won't take them, it's just more crap, expense and a PITA
  8. You can check out these heart-shaped mints that are sold at $9.25/lb and there are approximately 650 hearts per pound.
