Girls...do you think it is annoying when your boyfriend watches the same movies over and over again?
There are certain movies I can watch many times over. I know girls hate this one but I like Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Seen it 50 times and know many lines. All the Die Hard movies. Most of the Star Wars movies. Star Treks. Batman Begins. Serenity. Office Space. Back to the Future. Wedding Crashers. Armageddon. Independence Day. A bunch of others. I can even watch them on TV even though I have them on DVD. I do this with TV shows too. Granted I probably watch too much TV. At least I read too.

- Dude, that is freakin' awesome. It is not annoying. I love watching movies over and over again if they are hilarious. I've watched The Big Lebowski like 60 times and I still laugh just as hard as I did when I first watched it. That and Anchorman, Office Space, etc. I think the only time girls will get annoyed would be if you wouldn't pay attention to them as much as you do to the movie. That would be the only annoying thing. As long as you cuddle them or do anything else that shows them you're always thinking about them and caring, then they shouldn't mind you watching movies over and over again. Shoot, if I had a boyfriend, I'd make him watch movies with me over and over again...hahaha!
- I don't think it's annoying, but if you're with a girl, and you watch the same movie whenever she comes over, then that could get pretty annoying. ask her what movie she likes. . . Anyways if you like it, then who cares what the others think? the thing that matters is what you think. . . or. . .what you like. Be yourself :-)
- Hmm, it depends on whether or not the guy is with his girlfriend when he watches these reruns. There’s nothing wrong with liking movies enough you’d watch them 50 times (I’ve watched Star Wars: A New Hope about that many times). But when a guy is with his girlfriend, and she’s not so into the movies, once in awhile is okay, but dozens of times, that’s pushing the patience of a saint. Would you like it if every time you visited friends, they flipped to a movie or show that you didn’t like and you had to sit through it for the 20th time? That could get old for anyone. When he’s with her, it’s more thoughtful to watch what they both want to, rather than fall back on only his preferences. Not that I’m saying you’re doing that, but since you asked the question, I’m assuming someone is annoyed? My boyfriend is the same. He loves all the Indiana Jones movies, Back to the Future series, etc. and will watch them many times. He’s the same with music in that he’ll play the Back to the Future soundtrack in the car going from place to place (and others once he gets into the kick). Now, the first 5 times he’s doing this, I’m okay with it. I loved that movie when it came out. He gets up to the 20th time and I’m about ready to hurt his iPod. If someone didn’t like Chinese food, would you force them to eat it all the time anyway because you loved it? :-) Thankfully, he recognizes these moments and will switch to something different. He also asks me what I want to watch when I’m over. Ultimately, the girlfriend always has the choice to go into another room or to go out if she really can’t stand watching a movie one more time, but that’s not exactly something a boyfriend should force his girlfriend into doing. And if there’s nothing else for her to do in another room (a second TV where she could watch what she prefers, a computer she might want to use, a book she wants to read, etc.) than it’s as good as being sent to stand in the corner. She’s not going to be feeling warm and fuzzy about it all.
- Nope, not at all because I do it too. And I like all the movies he watches over and over.
- DanielMike, Please tell me you are watching these repeaters AFTER a full day of work and active play.....please. Treat your girlfriend to a day of canoe-ing, dancing, tennis, hiking, couple-cooking, Frisbee throwing, flower shopping, going to the beach, or even just playing croquet on the front lawn. Take her to a perfume shop and savor the fragrances together. Take her to a state park and enjoy a picnic lunch together. Devote your attention to her, listen to what she tells you, ask questions and show her you are interested in who she is. DO NOT quote Monty Python to her. After a busy and active day, put on one of your movies, ask for a massage to unwind. My thought is, you will be distracted and lose your interest in the film entirely. Nothing more attractive to a woman than a man who is active, confident , interested in and in-tune to her needs. Do not be so focused on your own. Seriously.
- It just means he hasn't found any new ones he likes. No big deal.
- will i don't know i guess. because they might think that u r 1 of those guys that just don't have the money besides i don't have any boyfriends and i don't even what any it is just to earlly besides i am just 12.
- Tell me about it , my husband watch scarface and Godfather over and over again. I get so sick of those movies. Yes it is vey annoying, I want to take the cable wire out and hide it so he cant watch those shows.
- yes girl it is
- I don't really care if he watches the same movies over and over again. But what really bothers me is when there is say a funny part and he keeps rewinding it and watching that one particular part over and over again. It drives me insane. I mean something like that has to lose its funny after a couple times. Right?
- YES IT IS VERY ANNOYING, YOU ARE WATCHING THAT MUCH TV MEANS THAT YOU ARE NOT TAKING CARE OF HIM, NOT VERY SMART ON YOUR PART WHEN SHE BECOMES TIRED IF SHE'S NOT ALREADY YOU ARE GOING TO BE LETS SAY STICK YOU WITH A FORK CAUSE SHE WILL BE DONE WITH YOU
- no i dont think its annoying i do it all the time
- It is kind of annoying to some extent. My bf always watches Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the new one). Several times a week...it gets really bothersome because he wants to watch that, I mean it's an Okay movie but I've watched it 3 or 4 times with him and he constantly quote it. So yes, it is annoying. Sorry!
- it's really annoying. i dont do more than 3 reruns of a particular movie.
