How can i use some clips from one of my movies?

So I'd really like to take a 5 second scene from Wedding Crashers and use it in a movie I'm making. I own the dvd but I'm not really sure how I should get the scene. I have windows xp if that helps.

1. if you only want one area use windows movie maker and side till you find the part and CUT it and export it to a file easy stuff
