What do you think about renting a wedding dress? Is it bad karma? I feel like it is such a waste of money to spend thousands on a wedding dress and only wear it for one day. Fashion challenge for designers-why don´t you make a line of wedding dresses for modest brides? If you look at the wedding forum, you will see so many brides that don´t want a sleeveless gown. They might not necessarily be heavy, they just are modest and want something to cover their arms. If I could sew, I could make a fortune making modest dresses, and in fact, I might find someone who does, and become famous one of these days with this idea. Why don´t you beat me to it, and do this for brides? What line at David´s Bridal makes modest dresses? I saw one dress there with sleeves-one!!! Oh sure, they now add little cap sleeves on dresses-big deal!

Where can I find affordable, quality wedding dresses online? I recently got engaged, and I've been looking for a wedding dress but have been pretty frustrated. I don't care if my dress is a designer dress or not, I just want something that fits well and doesn't look cheap. I have been looking for store sample dresses as well as used dresses in order to keep costs down, but I haven't been able to find much. I have already looked on eBay and craigslist, and my budget is $500 for my wardrobe, give or take $100 -- so that means the dress, alterations, veil, undergarments, and shoes. (I am planning on buying a used veil and inexpensive shoes.) Does anyone know of a good website or two that sell store samples for under $300? I am not opposed to buying a bridesmaid or prom dress, and I'd like to wear a floor-length dress with some "poof", in either white, some version of white, or red.
