Wedding party gift ideas for 12 year olds? I'm getting married in a couple of weeks and i need some ideas for 3 12 year olds who will be part of it. The girl is a girly girl and i think I can get her a bracelet or something, but the 2 boys are ... well boys. One will play the piano and one will be the ring bearer. I have no idea. Most ring bearer ideas are targeted at younger children. Both boys like sports but I feel it should be more a keepsake than big present.

What to give with gift for girls in wedding party? I've decided that I'm going to get personalized beach bags in different colors. The girls in my wedding LOVE the beach and anything beachy. I thought about getting matching towels...but I can't find matching ones at a reasonable price. The ones i've found are more expensive than the bags were! I am hosting a bridal shower where the wedding party is also bringing gag gifts....invitation wording ideas? We want to the guests, but not the bride, in on the fun. We are thinking of tucking a note inside the invites filling them in and inviting them to participate if they wish....with their own gag gifts signed or unsigned (under $5 plz). Is that the best way to word the invitation? Can you come up with clever wording, phrasing or a short rhyme? I did this a few years back and it was a hugh success; make the gift opening a lot more fun and ppl really got creative. But I can't remember how we worded the shower invite and the gag invite....thanks. In response to Brandy.....sry its not your thing...We had so much fun and it made all the guests actually pay attn to gift opening (which gets old fast). How to nicely present a letter? (Wedding party gifts)? As a thank you to our parents for all their support in our lives leading up to our wedding, we wrote them each a letter thanking them, and telling them what qualities of theirs we most hope to have in our marriage. How would I wrap and present these to them at the rehearsal dinner when we hand out the other wedding party gifts? I plan on printing them on nice paper (they were typed on the computer) but I don't know where to go from there. I don't really like the idea of a picture frame, but I don't want to fold the paper just in case they do want to frame/display it. I think it's too cheesy to do a double frame with the letter on one side and the other side blank for a wedding photo of us. Any other ideas? [Note: when we graduated from college, we got them big frames with a bunch of openings and did photo collages of us through our lives, so another picture frame less than a year later seems unoriginal.]

Monetary gifts for wedding gift? Some etiquette manuals say that it is not rude to make it known to the wedding party and guests that money would be appreciated in lieu of gifts. Especially if both bride and groom have been previously married and have all of the normal items that are the most traditional gifts. Monetary gifts would be used for the honeymoon.
