Looking for any images or ideas you would like to add to my possibilities list. I am up for any pictures for cakes, table setings, plates, center pieces, gifts, bridesmaid dresses, have three girls so dresses as well so long as they don't match identical. Hope that made sense..Thanks in advance! OH and the wedding is late summertime...
wedding decor- great idea or horrible idea? My wedding is in October. My colors are Chocolate, mocha and mango. My fiance and I are paying for everything so we are on a tight budget. I was thinking instead of the exact same centerpiece at every table we could do something a bit more random and antique feeling. Half the tables would have a candle inside a holder (vase, hurricane lamp, etc) of some kind and some glass beads on a mirror. The catch is I would use mis-matched vases, all clear. That way I could get them at yard sales and thrift stores, etc I would go in search of all kinds of crazy shapes, not your typical shapes. Then half the tables would have a floral arrangement on them. What do you think. Does it say antique or cheap o? Do you have any great ideas?
Any wedding planners or creative ppl with ideas? I want an elegant simple but glamerous but princess like wedding... My colors pink and dark brown.. I have no theme for the wedding. My dress is a little poofy with the pleats all around, and I am really not sure where to begin for a theme or decor. I know for all tables I will use whatever little centerpiece the facility offers but I need ideas for head table and just decor all around. I do know I dont want a whole bunch of flowers, but I do want some, and something with diamonds, something classy yet out there and different.. I am in Houston Katy Area if anyone actually is a wedding planner. Thanks
wedding reception tables decor? I am getting married in a few weeks October 25, 2008...YIKES!!!!...We have no real set colors, the invitations which are gorgeous are Gold with a Black border, the letters are all Black. My maid of honor (she is the only attendant) already has a Black formal dress and a Maroon formal dress, I just don't think it is necessary to have her or me buy another formal dress. OK now to my questions. What colors?? I do know I am going to use gold accents and fall flowers in different colors I am thinking a lot of Maroon mums etc...I had thought about doing overlays over the white tablecloths, but do not know what color(s) ?? I had thought about gold. I also saw an awesome picture where some one used burlap but had satin chair sashes, it actually looked very elegant. The tables are 60" rounds, so they would take 90" overlays...they are so expensive, even to rent. I was wondering what you guys thought if I just bunched some fabric up in the middle of the table with the center pieces on it (we using big hurricane globes with a candle and a wreath of flowers around the bottom), to add a splash of color to the the stark white tablecloths?? Or do any of you know where I can buy or rent reasonable priced tablecloth overlays/squares. Also the room is very plain that we are using for our reception site. So any ideas will be welcomed. I had thought about carving out pumpkins and placing a pot of mums down inside of them and setting them on rented pedestals around the room. Thanks Guys!
Wedding decor question-Need idea for centerpiece(no candles) and question on what material drapes from ceiling I am planning my wedding for May 23, 2009. I will be 20 years old. We both have gone through a year as friends and 2 and half years dating. At Christmas he asked about getting married and so here we are. I already have the dresses ordered and bought for. I booked the catering and the hall rental and the church. I am wanting no more than 85 guests. I am having no children there considering it is a formal event and the cost of kids is the same as an adult so only kids that are in the wedding will be there. Now i am curious what is the draping that hangs from the ceiling? http://www.magmover.com/new_images/customer_images/judy_bradt_2.jpg I am having problems on the table centerpieces. We are doin all silk flowers to save the cost of flowers that we will only use once and then with silk we can save them also for future siblings. Now for the centerpieces, the head table is the only table that can have a candle centerpiece lit. All other tables (guests) can not because of past fires. colors i wanted are baby blue. Bridesmaids dresses are called Blue Velvet which is a dark blue but not like super dark blue.
wedding decor on a tight budget? what can i do to add a personnal touch for wedding decoration on a budget?? already got balloons, bubbles, chocolate fountain and confetti for tables got any other ideas?? it is in August 07 colour scheme - purple, ivory and silver
Interesting (but fairly inexspensive) wedding decor? I am getting married and looking for cute, but cheap decor to go on the tables at my reception. I am tired of the played out classic of floating candles and flowers on top of mirrors. My wedding colors are claret (a dark red) black and champange. Any ideas? Also, our theme is "Lucky in Love" because or date is 07/07/07. (Cute huh?)
What other concerns for a backyard wedding? Besides renting tables chairs and linens, and the usual wedding decor and stuff, what else do I need to consider to have a wedding at home? No tent is needed. It will be for 80-90 people. Buffet style, thanks! I am not sure on doing this, just looking at different ideas. No tents is because the house has a big covered patio in case of rain and also inside is possible for tables...maybe... Catering is self - FMIL owns a restaurant It will be May 09 Only 3 kids
So I finally have a wedding theme..any ideas? When I saw the cake I fell in love with it and decided it would set the theme! Its kind of all "Diamonds and Bling" here is the cake http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u95/kimmy_jayne_85/IMG_1271.jpg and our bridal partys car http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u95/kimmy_jayne_85/whiteHummerNew.jpg And I somehow wanna incorporate these on tables..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2000-Aqua-Blue-Diamond-Confetti-Wedding-Party-Decor-NEW_W0QQitemZ120308335540QQihZ002QQcategoryZ102430QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem colour is yet undecided. But that also brings me 2 my other prob colours? I know black or Silver 4 bridesmaid dresses and chair sashes would suit theme but I think theyre boring and want a colour!!! blue or pink maybe.. Can anyone give me any good ideas on how else I can incorporate my them or how I can use colour? And I thought Id keep dresses simple with big Diamante Jewellery etc. Possible get sum sparkle in flowers?? Also any centrepiece ideas?
Table Centerpiece for Night Club themed wedding reception? My Significant other and I have decided on a night club themed wedding reception. we've figured out most of the decor we want but aren't sure what we want to do for the centerpiece. One Idea we had was a tulip in a tall clear cylinder filled with water w/ small voltive candles around the cylinder. Another, more simple, idea is 3 small candle lit lamps in the center. Any Ideas?

Someone help please. What to do for decor for a country wedding done in turquoise and white!!!? Ok, well not really a problem yet, being that it is a long engagement. But I have this Idea of making my wedding VERY personal. Very me and him. So my colors are turquoise and white. I have NO flower ideas, very few ideas on what I want as a ccenterpieceand all. I know in the middle of each table [ i'm not writing seating charts, people can sit where they please.] I want to put a basket with a little note on it asking for wedding advice. OR other little things that you would like to say to the bride and groom. But I also want some kind of flowers or candles or SOMETHING to go along with that. Something country and pretty, BUT my wedding colors associated in with all that as well! ANYONE have ANY pictures, Ideas, help! All the stuff on Google is of overly fancy weddings. Me and James are very simple and want something nice, but us at the same time! SO also. As far as a grooms table. he likes drag racing, hunting, camo, fishing, lots of stuff like that. I just really want it to be ssomethingvery personal. SOMEONE HELP!! :] Our wedding is in the summer. So it's kinda a summerly feel. But all things I find seem to be seashells and stuff like that for a beach wedding. I want white and pale pink flowers and differnt kinds, I have already figured out which bouquet I want and I kinda want the centerpieces to match it. I think it will be fun on our wedding night to sit and relax and get ready to leave the next day for the honeymoon and read all the funny stuff I just know people are going to say on their individual cards! I don't want anything "city" or fancy or overly girly. I mean I want a pretty wedding just not over the top! OH, and as far as table clothes, he wants white with turquoise runners instead two toned tables. [like big cirlce clothe, smaller circle clothe!]

Wedding /decorating questions? We are preparing decor for our upcoming wedding. We have 20 - 6 foot long banquet tables to cover and also would like to create a enchanting event, something to leave our guest feeling special, something they will never forget. We are also on a very tight budget. Any ideas for banquet talbes? We have our centerpieces taken care of we are going to do square vases with fresh red roses and rose petals scattered. I figrued it will take 60 yards of fabric to cover the tables. Any ideas welcomed, Thank you! I apologize, I forgot to mention that I cannot use candles which they monitor and strictly enforce no candles...

My wedding is in june and me and my fiance both wanted to have our personality in the wedding so since we have a gigantic sweet tooth we went with candyland. but we still want it to be an elegant affair. I thought of tree branches with candy and crystals hanging off. but I need more ideas. Bridal shower decorations/favors/etc. ideas on a small budget? I am hosting a (surprise) bridal shower dinner for one of best friends. It is about 2 weeks away and i am a 19 yr old college girl who couldnt find a summer job and i have never been to a bridal shower so not only do i not have a lot of money to put into this, I also don't have a lot of knowledge of typical decor. it will be in room at my church (white walls, tile floor, partions dividing it smaller), and I'm serving fried chicken southern style dinner. I have 5 large round tables (sit 5-6 people), two long buffet tables and a gift table. I expect 20-25 people in attendance. colors right now are teal and white (to match the wedding). I am very crafty. So, now with the background covered. if you have any suggests for decor, table settings, centerpieces, favors, prizes, I am open to any ideas that are inexpensive but would wow the bride (and MotB). I'm going for a casual, contemporary atmosphere but would still impress the older generation in attendance. Thanks in advanced.
Idea for decor? I am having tropical type decorations at my wedding. My aunt is making the flower arrangements for the Church and I am making my own centerpieces. I am also have two tables, one for the candy buffet for my favors and one for the guest book, card box etc. To go with my theme I thought about getting an eiffel tower vase (see link below) and putting palm leaves in it for decor for my random two tables. I am trying to save a lot of money by doing things myself, but was wondering what you guys thought of that idea? http://www.towervase.com/pages-productinfo-product-180/eiffel-tower-vases.html
Ideas for centerpiece decorations ? Im having a pink and gold themed wedding. Im having major problems with the floral decor - if I cant have the exact flowers I want im going to be a bit disappointed and I dont want to have to settle for substitute flowers. So Im playing with the idea of NOT having flowers on the tables as centrepieces. Does anyone have any other ideas as to what I can put on the tables instead of flowers? The wedding is sort of themed around the pink/gold/champagne colour pallette but 'lush luxury' is really the them so I want something beautiful and unique .
Help, I need a quick, simple and cheap centerpiece for tables...? My wedding is this Friday and I still haven't decided on my centerpieces. I have 9 tables to decorate and have no idea what to do. It is actually renew of my wedding vowels, but we are having a quick ceremony. There's no decor, just the room with a beautiful fireplace. Flower arranjements are expensive and candles alone are too plain. I am on a super tight budget. Considering all this, any ideas are welcome. Please help!
Disney World Escape Wedding? I have been to the Disney Weddings website and like the idea of an Escape wedding. I am wondering what decoration is provided with the $4000 package. I know you can purchase additional decor, but are there some already included with the package? For example, do you have to pay for chairs, tables, or the alter? They seem pretty basic and I think they would be included, but, it wouldn't surprise me either if you had to pay extra for them. Also, the site states that you can add on receptions to this package. Does anyone know what these options are?
small wedding questions? okay, i have a bunch of questions about a small wedding we are having for about 40 people. 1. we were thinking about plastic table cloths just because it's cheaper and easier but someone told me that would be a bad idea. is it? 2. as far as church decor is it tacky to only have an aisle runner, we were thinking about pew bows but i think they're ugly. is there something else cheap and simple we could use or do we need anythingn at all? 3. we don't want a guest book, does that scream bad? 4. also how does the pictures after the wedding thing work. do guest just go and hang out outside until all the photos are finished or do we walk out and get the rice thrown and then just go back in or how does that work and if people wait is there something we could do to keep them entertained. 5.i was thinking about walmart for the cake, has anybody went through them, and how was it. also does anyone know if they do catering and how that all works? 6. is there anything else i need to know
What would be a good way to get rid of a goldfish? I have an established 20gal aquarium, and this past summer I took in a goldfish that was a wedding table decoration that was just going to be flushed by the hotel staff. He got along okay with everything in my tank and has done well, but I'm very picky with aquarium decoration and fish colors and stuff--I kind of treat it like an art piece--and now that Mr. Goldfish is six inches long, he's knocking over decorations left and right, starting to pick fights with my angelfish, and his flaming orange-ness looks really strange with the reds, blacks, and silvers I have in the decor, other fish, and in my living room in general. Also, he's really dirtying up the tank. I'd like to go back to just all tropical fish, but I just can't figure out what to do with him. I don't want to keep him in a bowl elsewhere, I don't know anyone who wants him, and I can't return him to a store because I didn't get him from one. Do pet stores take fish donations? Ideas? And flushing him is NOT an option.
Please some help incorporating the color wheat into my fall wedding? Thanks for any help! I am getting married this fall, and one color I have is eggplant (bridesmaid dresses). This morning, I started playing with wheat being the other color, but I am having trouble coming up with creative and simple ideas on how to work that into the decor. Our budget is limited. I am especially looking for cute way to create bunches of wheat for table centerpieces. I’ve found a couple, but they seem limited. Additionally, can wheat be worked into flowers fairly easily? Lastly, I was also trying to look for ideas on how to display wheat tactfully at the church. Thanks again!

Decoration and planning tips??? I am getting married in 10 months. Anything you can add to the ideas I have so far? The color is Tropic. It is an ocean aqua blue. The wedding is in the spring and the reception venue overlooks water. I want hanging white lanterns surrounded by blues and green sea glass on the tables. I want hints of sparkle and pearls somehow. And I want everything to be crisp and clean. Elegant too. What kind of flowers? Decorations? Outside beach decor? Anything else you can think of??? Thank You!!!
Planning on a Budget, the bride wants chair covers!? I am planning a wedding reception for 150 people. The bride has given me $300 to work with to decorate the hall. Thats fine as I am a wedding planner and have a ton of stuff left over from previous weddings. My biggest problem is that she wants chaircovers for the chairs at the guests table, I have my vendors, shopped online and the cheapest is $2.00 a cover, which will go well over my $300. By the way everything has be ivory, latte brown or chocolate brown. Does anyone know of a site online that they can recommend to get chair covers cheaper or have a better idea to cover chairs with. The wedding is in October and I'm not sure what to do about chair covers. I have the other decor worked out. I need someone elses creativeness on this as I don't want to use the $300 completely on chair covers.
Need Reception advice!! :)? We got married Dec 29th in Colorado after wedding planning headaches here in TX. We're having our reception here in TX on March 1st and I am needing last minute advice. The place that we are having the reception at a place that does it all- center pieces and everything.. but I want to add my own personal touch. Our colors are Navy and white- any ideas or advice at all is GREATLY appreciated! I want to add some flowers into the decor since the place doesn't supply any real flowers. I thought about having the disposable cameras on a side table for guests to take pics, also.. for the guest book, more of a guest jar- where guests can write a special message to us and place it in the jar (I'm a scrapbooker, so I really have no use for a sign in book).. maybe a camera by the jar so guests can take a self portrait? poloroid maybe?.. Any advice is appreciated- THANKS!
can't decide?? im having trouble with deciding something. things have been changing and different ideas have been tossed around but most likely, i will be decorating 6 tables and having at least my maid of honor stand up for me. first, i was wanting to do just a black and white wedding w/ an accent of fuschia or some kind of pink. but, i am also leaning towards doing the fall colors becuz my wedding is in october and i've always loved the fall. so i think ill go with the fall colors but still want something bright and fun and want to incorporate the fuschia/hot pink color i love so much! anyone have any ideas??? also, ive been looking at picz and there are some fall decor i hate like this one.. http://flickr.com/photos/darkbride/2105074087/ and http://flickr.com/photos/darkbride/2105075245/ i DO like.. http://flickr.com/photos/23737581@N00/536112577/ and http://flickr.com/photos/smcgee/1910197117/ and http://flickr.com/photos/krystle_rae/1928553739/ becuz it still has pink now how do i decorate the tables and get flowers w/out using too much red?? becuz i think red is overdone for fall. im on a budget of 2,000 at the most and there will be 35 people. i also dont know whether i should use candles and fake leaves on the tables or incorporate flowers??? my bridesmaids (if i have them, it might just be my MOH) will be wearing black

HELP! If you've got decorating skills please help me!? I'm getting Married this coming October - and although I DO have the location of my dreams that houses both the ceremony and reception, the decor is tricky. My theme for my wedding us fall harvest, maybe even a bit rustic. The colors are cinnamon, warm browns, some slight greens, and some reds. I really find the decor lovely without lots of white. We prefer going with something subtle - like a sheer organza overlay over the beautiful hand carved tables. You can go here to check out the venue. We're having the ceremony upstairs, the dinner downstairs, and then the dancing upstairs after the chairs are cleared away. http://www.hauserhall.com/ is the website. Underneath the white linens are the beautiful tables. We are lost for ideas in how to decorate without tons of white. We're going to be having a lot of outdoors influences like leaves, gourds, fall garland and lots of candles. Can any one PLEASE help us and make some suggestions without going too tacky in the white tulle department?
