Wedding Gift From Groom To Bride Knowledge Base
Wedding gift ideas for Groom from Bride? I'm getting married November 15..and I don't have any idea what to get for my fiance as a wedding present. We said we weren't going to do the usual so I don't want to spend alot of money..(since we are already spending so much on the wedding and everything else) maybe ideas of something I could make...any suggestions?
...trying to think of a gift for the bride and groom from the entire wedding party? We're trying to think of a gift the wedding party can give the bride and groom on their wedding day. Does anyone have any suggestions? They're going to London for their honeymoon, so maybe something they could use there? They already have a guidebook. And the bride doesn't drink so champagne is out. The wedding is Saturday so we don't have much time.
Groom to Bride Wedding Gift? You know how some people say that you should exchange gifts with your partner as bride to groom/groom to bride? I'm all for that, but she's telling me that she wants to exchange them before the wedding, at the rehearsal dinner. She made it clear that I wouldnt be bringing it with me on the honeymoon (i guess it might be too big to carry on a plane...i dunno), so it makes sense for me to wait until we get back from our trip to open our gifts. But she's so adament about the gift exchange at the dinner, and I just don't feel like I want to do it with everyone around. I'd like, just the two of us, alone, in a romantic setting, and not before the wedding. So, I'd like to give her 2 gifts: My original gift I had gotten for her, which I will give to her after we return from the honeymoon, and a very small, inexpensive gift for our exchange that she just has to have! So I'm asking for ideas for a small gift to give to her before the wedding. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Whats a good Groom to Bride Wedding GIFT? Im getting married next month and i dont know what gift to give my sweetheart? Please any suggestions? I want to give her something original, something she will always remember. ANy ideas? Thank you
Wedding party gifts to the bride and groom? My boyfriend and I are going to his friend's wedding, and we already purchased something (sort of expensive) for them out of their registry. He's a groomsman, and I have also heard that groomsmen traditionally buy an extra gift for the groom. Is this universal? Seems like it would be expecting a lot of money from us/him with a wedding gift, tux rental, travel expenses, AND a groomsman gift.
Wedding Gifts From Bride To Groom & Vice Versa? I am getting married on 30th April this year in Barbados and would love to buy my husband to be a little something to show my appreciation of his love. Do people generally still buy their husbands / wives to be gifts for their wedding? If so, any ideas on what I could buy him? He doesn't need a watch as I bought him one for Xmas and he doesn't wear jewellery. I dont think he is buying me anything, as we agreed not to, but I would love to get him a little something, any ideas? We did agree not to buy, but he is a nightmare for saying that then buying something. So what do I do? Funnily enough I was thinking about getting a tatoo with his name on it as he has a heart on his chest with my name on it! I think I might go for the sexy lingerie for the wedding night maybe? Like the dog tags idea, especially as he is ex military!
Bride and Groom wedding gifts? Is it customary for the bride and groom to get each other gifts for there wedding day? Also what would be a good idea for a gift? Can't go wrong with jewelry right?

bengali married women please answer - bengali wedding tatto (gifts from groom's family to bride) sarees? as wedding gifts, if i get 1 cheap printed cotton saree, 1 cheap printed synthetic saree, one printed silk saree without blouse piece ( i was told it did not come with blouse piece, though it was the only saree i have seen in a long time that (supposedly) came without one), and a reception saree from well-off in-laws (they have a flat in a big city, a car, and travel by plane), can/should i be offended? also, they said it is traditional for the bride to keep at least part her jewelry in her in-laws' locker - though we do not live with them - anyone else heard of this "tradition"? also, they said the sarees they gave were the kind that are traditionally given to the bride - anyone heard of this "tradition" either? they asked me for 15,000 rupees for buying gifts for my sister-in-law, is this "tradition" or dowry? we had a love marriage, not arranged. but my in-laws are such emotional blackmailers and competent brainwashers that i cannot distinguish "tradition" from manipulation.
What's a good wedding gift to get for both bride and groom? What I'm looking for is just one gift -- but that can be benefited from both of them. Now...I'm not close with the bride--but simply know her as my hair stylist for 3 years. I don't know the groom at all...never even seen him. **************** If you were a GUY (as this gift will be coming from a guy given the situation explained above)--what would you give???? ***************** Side note: I'm just trying to help a friend out with some gift ideas....any help is most appreciated! ;-)

Wedding Gifts Between the Bride and the Groom? So my buddy at work is getting married in a week, and I am usually his "go-to" person for weird customs and etiquette, but this one has me stumped; Apparently, his bride-to-be made mention of a gift exchange between the bride and groom, and that she has already selected her gift to him. He, on the other hand, is CLUELESS about this custom, and has NO idea what would be considered an appropriate gift. Needless to say, we are both convinced this is another "Hallmosrk Conspiracy". This is where I turn to the Answers community and help bail him out. What would be, according to this custom, an appropriate gift for the groom-to-be, to give his future blushing bride. Thanks in advance for your help!!!
When do the bride and groom open their wedding gifts? OK the place we registared with automatically mails the gifts to us. Is it ok to open the gifts before the wedding? My mother is telling me we should open the gifts at the reception?!?!?! I have never seen a bride and groom do that. But should we open before, during the reception, or when we get back from our honeymoon? Also what is kosher? and what is tradition with this part?
wedding gift-bride's name first or grooms? We are engraving a wedding gift and wondering if the bride's name comes first or grooms? We do not like the Mr. and Mrs. so were going to use first names...I am related to the groom?? ideas??
wedding gift from the matron of honour? i am the matron of honour in an upcoming wedding. the bride and groom are requesting no gifts of any type as they have all they need including money. instead they will be giving gifts to the guests. as the matron of honour should this no gift request be honored by me as well or is a token gift ok to give? i don't want to offend their request but i did have a gift in mind for them. would it be rude if i gave them one?
Wedding gift assistance for newly sober (drug and alcohol) bride and groom? I'll be attending a wedding (which probably shouldn't be happening) for a family member soon. Both he and his bride are recovering from alcohol and drug abuse. Not even sober for 3 months yet. Anyway, I don't want to give them cash or even gift cards (which could be sold to other people for cash, something they've done a lot of). They aren't registered anywhere, they both have had houses of their own in the past so they have a lot of housewares. Any ideas that don't involve items that are easily cashed in? Kathy N. -- I understand where you're coming from on the respect thing and I wish I could give them that respect but they worked really hard to lose it. Really we're going for the groom's mother, to support her since this is a tough time for her. When the two of them decided to take advantage of the one person left in the family who would open her home to him by stealing credit cards belonging to my dead uncle and charging $6000, I lost any desire to extend respect to them. This is just one thing they've done to our family -- if you want another highlight, he got a friend of his to come into my mother's house and hold up my brother at gun point. I really don't even want to get them a gift (and wouldn't feel too bad not getting one since he didn't get me one for my wedding) but feel like I should.
What is an ideal wedding gift for the bride and the groom? Two of my teachers at school are getting married. Yes, with each other. The wedding is in two weeks. And I really need to buy the most wonderful gift ever. The thing is, I'm really great with the female teacher (let's call her Miss F). Almost like friends. And I was the first few people that she told that she was getting married. And I also get a personal invite. The rest of the school just got some fliers. It's like your best friend getting married. It really need to be SPECIAL but not too pricey. I'm not that close with the male teacher (let's call him Mr N). In fact, he never thought me anything. But lately I've been really close with him too because I'm friend with Miss F. Both of them are like really young (about 25 years old, I'm sure)... So any ideas what I can get them? I'm thinking about getting one item for Mr N and another item for Miss F. Something that'll last. Maybe like perfumes, or song albums, or maybe a tie and a scarf. What do you think? Be specific...Names, brands, etc will be great help. Please consider their age as well. Thanks.

Bride & Groom Funny Wedding Day gifts.? Has anyone any suggestion for gifts to give to the bride and groom on their wedding day and sayings which go with them. Eg a mouse trap for birth contro. Or a Tyrone crystal box with broken glass in and drop it as you give it to them. Hope you get the gist any suggestions welcome. I know they are bachelor type presents but you dont know the couple or their family so this thing goes down at their weddings.
Wedding gift? Treated terrible at wedding rehearsal dinner and wedding. Bride throws a temper tantrum at rehearsal dinner, runs off crying. She tells her soon to be hubby my husband and his sister cornered her? Bride is step sister to my husband and his sister. Never had close contact with bride or husband, but somehow was invited to the wedding. Bad relations between my husbands mom and bride (her step daughter). Nevertheless, her soon to be husband calls my husband pathetic etc....at rehearsal dinner and they proceed to leave their own party. Brides dad, says she calls shortly after the big fight, and wants to know if we are still going to the wedding. We are expecting an apology, but are told not to mingle with groom, bride, and grooms family once at the wedding. We put a stop payment on our wedding present check. Now we are told that we should of not done that . That we should of been bigger than that. We have never been treated that bad in our lives? We went to the wedding, and was told there by the her father AKA: step dad not to mingle....mind you we know absolutely no one at this wedding, we drove 7 hours, paid for a hotel 2night stay...
I forgot to give the bride & groom their wedding present on the wedding day? I was in the bridal party(1 of the brides maids). On the wedding day everything was so crazy I'm supprised we all even made it. I left the wedding gift card in a bag that was in my car, when we went to the ceremony in a limo, then the reception, I realized I didn't have the gift. Later the next day, I found it. I figured the newlyweds were busy with he honeymoon & all so I didn't bother calling them. 2 weeks have gone by & I almost forgot to give it to them again! I don't see them that often, so . . . should I still give it to them when I see them maybe 1-2 months from now? It's cash. I just didn't want to drop it off with anyone.
An Appropriate Wedding Gift from an American visiting the Irish Couple? I am friends with both the bride and groom (closer to the bride). He's actually from India and she's from Ireland & the wedding will be a "traditional" Irish Catholic wedding. They've both lived in the US for the past 10 years, so it wouldn't be overly special if I brought something specifically "american" over to Ireland for them. So I was thinking of going the other route, to go with their theme of a traditional Irish Catholic wedding. But as I am not an Irish national, nor am I catholic, what would be a good gift? Any ideas?
