Out of Town Wedding Gift Bags - Ideas Please? I'm looking for ideas of what to put in out of town gift bags for guests that are getting hotel rooms for our wedding. I want them to be cute and useful, but NOT expensive. One idea I had was to fill them with snacks that are red (since red is the theme of our wedding). I had thought of red apples, red pistacios, cans of red pop, twizlers, etc. I'd appreciate any other ideas you can come up with. I have a lot of guests traveling pretty far to come to my wedding, so I know it is the proper thing to leave a gift bag or basket in each guest room for them. I was told guests bring a gift and put money in it at a wedd my friend told me that you put the price per head in the wedding invite so people know what they have to give. they put it in the money bag at the wedding, in addition to buying a gift. i dont think this is something i want to do--solicit money from guests when they already bought gifts! How hard is it to get the bride and groom a simple gift like a wedding card? ? We recently had a destination wedding 300 miles from our hometown. We had a nice wedding and were very hospitable even to a point that each "couple" guest or single guest received a gift bag from us with various items in it as a thank you for coming. We are not expecting much from the guest but it did bother us that not even half of the total guest party which is 50 did not even bother getting us a wedding card? Is this behavior typical on a destination weddings? Let me just say that there are guests who lived in the area who showed up and never gave anything either. And let em get thsi straight, I am not expecting an expensive gift but a simple best wushes card or a $10-$15 gift is appropriate as a thought or best wishes for a couple. What is wrong with people's etiquette these days.

Gift Bags - missing anything? We are having gift bags delivered to guests' hotel rooms before our wedding. So far, we have snacks/gum, water, tissue packs, sunscreen, lotion, chapstick and golf balls with our names & wedding date (wedding is at a golf resort). Are we missing anything? Is it necessary to have gift bags @ the hotel for out of town guests? Almost everyone on the guest list (40 ppl. small wedding) is coming from out of town for our wedding next month. I forgot to give the bride & groom their wedding present on the wedding day? I was in the bridal party(1 of the brides maids). When planning a wedding, what is really necessary? I have noticed from reading postings about weddings and the planning of weddings that there seem to be so many more things to think about that I had originally thought, I have never heard of half the things mentioned, like Bridal Showers, bridal shower favours, welcome bags, where does it stop? I don't even think I want to give out favours at my wedding, it all seems like a lot of added expense!! We are paying for the guests accommodation, for their meals and drinks, I don't think our budget is going to stretch to buying them gifts as well. Would you be disappointed in not getting a favour?

Do you have any good ideas on guest arrival gifts? I am getting married in Jacksonville, FL in three weeks. Most of the guests (only 50 people total) will be traveling from the northeast. They are staying at a beach front hotel for a couple of days and I want to have gift bags ready for them with things that they can use/enjoy when they get here. Do you prefer using a vacuum with a bag or a bagless vacuum? I grew up with a bagged vacuum, so I'm used to that. But now I'm registering for wedding gifts, and am wondering which is actually better... what do most people prefer? Which is easier (and more sanitary) to empty the dirt out of? Gift for your "To Be"? This is a 2 part question. I know it's customary for the bride and groom to give each other gifts the day of the wedding. I have booked bag pipers for the church as a surprise and his gift. --He loves bag pipes and the guys I have are part of the police band that his department travels with every year. The "head bag piper" is his chief so there is a sentimental chord there. He keeps asking me what I would like and I can't think of anything. I don't want any jewelry as we just spent so much on our wedding and honeymoon . Any suggestions? Also, do you think it's okay that my gift to him isn't something he will physically have for the rest of his life? Should I do something else in addition to the bag pipes? I should also add that the bag pipers are donating their services to me b/c they all know him very well and wouldn't accept any form of payment from me. What do I register for if I live in Ireland but the wedding is in Canada? Hi there, My soon to be husband and I temporarily live out of Canada and will be for the next two years or so.
