Ordering wholesale flowers online?!? I am getting married and am trying to look at ways of saving money. I am thinking about ordering the wedding flowers wholesale online! Has anyone done this? Did you have a good experience? What about DIY wedding in a box flowers from major flower wholesalers? I am not worried about having to create my bouquets or center pieces, I am MORE worried about the quality of the flowers and things like that!
Wholesale Flowers, best online? I want to purchase a lot of flowers for my wedding, and cheap! I am a huge fan of ranunculus! Anyone used an online wholesale flower seller, find them reliable? Which one did you use?
wedding flowers? i'm planning my wedding. when you got married, did you go to a florist and have them do everything, or did you buy your flowers wholesale? if so, who created your bouquet and arrangements? i really want irises and either white roses or calla lilies, but i dont know where to start on finding them (i havent gone to any florists yet). i've just been looking online, and i found lots of wholesalers where i can get each flower at about $1.25 (give or take) a stem, so for like 225 flowers it would only cost around $300. i can arange them myself (i think), but i dont know how to make the bouquet. but i dont know what a florist would charge to get the flowers and do all the arrangments herself.just thought i'd get some ideas for you guys. my wedding isnt until may 2009, so its not a rush kinda thing. for valentines day, my fiance and i each got eachother irises, both arranged by ourselves cause they just came as buds in a box and came out great so i dont think that parts an issue if there are any florists in the northern virginia/DC area i'm getting married in springfield so feel free to leave your website so i can look you up :)
Doing wedding flowers...? I am doing the wedding flowers for my Minister's wedding in November. I have been looking for good reliable sources of fresh flowers that I can order. Does anyone know where I can order good quality fresh flowers...at preferably wholesale prices that I don't have to purchase a minimum amount of each kind of flower. It's a really small wedding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Has anybody ordered flowers online for a wedding? I want a lot of flowers at my wedding reception but I am on a budget. I am creative and so is my family so I figured we could put together the centerpieces of the tables ourselves. Wholesale flowers online seem like a really good deal for the money and they come with the extra foliage so you can put together bouquets. I was just wondering if anyone else had ordered bulk flowers online and how it turned out. I was interested in The Grower's Box but if you have any other websites that have been tried by you or someone you know please share.
Wholesale flowers? Has anyone ever bought wholesale flowers? I wanted to get some for my wedding to cut costs, but i'm scared they'll come wilted.
Any good wholesale florists websites? I want to buy my flowers at wholesale and in bulk and do the arrangements myself, but I can't find a florist online that will charge an actual wholesale price for my wedding.
Where can I find a wholesale flower shop in Atlanta, that doesn't require a business license? I live in atlanta and I want to make my own Boutonnieres , bouquets and corsages. Where should I go? Or is there a place I can go to do it for cheap. I have 8 brides maids and 8 groomsmans, thats why i can't pay the regular prices on the flowers. I am doing a brown and pink wedding. So I am looking for roses or carnations in diffrent types of pink and white. Any ideas, anyone. Thanks
DIY Wedding Flowers? I am getting married in August '07 and have decided to make my own flower arragements w/ the help of my maid of honor, mother, and future mother-in law. I've never made flower arrangements, but the future MIL has. I am using all white or cream roses (not sure of the type). I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place in Southern Florida to buy wholesale roses? Also, if you have any extra advice that would be great too. Thanks!! Thanks for the silk suggestion, but I would rather not. Fresh flowers are so beautiful. And I think that fake flowers=fake relationship....just in MHO.
Wholesale Flower Distributers in the Kansas City Metro Area?? I have heard of a company that sells flowers at a wholesale price to the public if you have a tax id number. The person who was telling me about this just doesn't remember the name of the place as it was ages ago that she went there for her wedding. Any ideas??? thanks!!!

does the brides bouquet have to be different than the bridesmaids bouquet? I found this great website with a bouquet package http://www.wholesale-wedding-flowers.com/flowers/bridesmaid-bouquet-package-_WWF-mdbqt.php In the package there is 8 bouquets because i have 6 bridesmaids I'm thinking of taking the last 2 bouquets and putting them together and make my bouquet. It will be the same bouquet just bigger. Will this look good? I know I could do whatever i want but i don't want it to look bad. thank
Rough estimate of wedding costs? I'm working on a wedding budget and just looking for general pricing ideas to start with before getting specific quotes. We already have family that will take care of the wedding cake and photography. I have a friend who will do the DJ-ing for us and I would like to buy wholesale flowers and do arrangements myself... but everything else is still TBD. What did you pay for your wedding and how much for each segment? Rehearsal dinner, wedding, venues for both wedding and reception, dresses/tuxes, gifts for wedding participants, reception, open bar, caterer, etc... any estimates would be appreciated! :)
Please Help! I need to make my own floral arrangements for my wedding. Any advice? I wanted to do my own flowers for my reception because we're on a tight budget and some arrangements just look too easy. Where can I go get fresh flowers at wholesale price around orange county or LA area? do i make the pieces the day before? how do i keep the arrangements fresh until the wedding which will be at night about 6pm?
Where would I find wholesale silk gerberas in Perth? I'm specifically looking for hot pink/fuschia and not the spider ones. I've found a store called Hostwin but it's not the right pink I want. Also one on Cambridge St, wrong colour. I did find the correct hot pink that I want at City Station Flowers, the florist at Perth train station...but they were pretty vague as to who the wholesaler was and I will need more than just 3 as that's all they had out front. It's for wedding bouquets, I'm doing them myself.
bulk flowers from sams club or costco? Has anyone ever ordered flowers online at a wholesale store like costco or sams club? They have great prices, so I thought it would be a good way to cut costs for a wedding, but I dont want to regret it if they are crappy.
Why do people like to criticize/tell you what to do when planning a wedding? I started planning my wedding about 5 weeks ago, and it seems like I've either had a lot of people telling me what to do, or criticizing the decisions I've made. My future in-laws have already criticized my desire to have real flowers, saying that I am wasting a lot of money on something that's just doing to die. They say silk flowers are cheaper, when in reality I can get real roses wholesale for much cheaper!! They also criticize the fact that I want a simple, classic wedding. They want a big wedding with a ton of people and everything to be super fancy. Why do they think they can criticize?? I am the bride, my family is paying for it!
Does anyone know of any reputable flower companies online? Upon considering everything, I have decided that ordering wholesale flowers online will be cheaper than consulting a florist to do all the work. I love to DIY, so I have decided that I will work on creating some of the arrangements for my wedding ceremony. What would be a good website to order wholesale flowers online? I have a few concerns though: 1. Is the company is reputable? 2. Quality of the products 3. Quality of the service. If anyone has ever ordered flowers online please inform me of your experience. Gail B - My wedding is going to be in March of 2008.
TO: Most Bang for My Wedding Buck?? Help!? Check out www.CraigsList.org, select your state then city and then pick Events and you should find all kinds of vendors that can help you. I found a Country Club with a Gazebo that will provide: setting up chairs for outside; the Reception room-tables-linens-dinnerware, etc.; appetizers; Cash Bar with Bartender; after Ceremony the dinner with Salad, 2 Meats, 1 Starch, 1 Vegetable, Rolls; Champagne Toast; Cake Cutting; 2 Private Rooms for the Bride & Groom to dress and change in; and all clean up for $1,050.00. I also found a photographer who is still in college looking to do Weddings for her portfolio, she is free. My daughter goes to school with a student who will do the DJ/MC for just gas money. I am making the 3 tier cake - it's not that hard - get a Wilton book and follow directions. And I'm making all the decorations; plus Ring Bearer Pillow, Toasting Glasses with the Bride & Groom's clothes, Gift Card Box & Guest Book. I'm very crafty too but it's very easy. An idea I just had today was instead of buying 7 vases for the tables, which even at the Dollar store is going to cost $7.00 I am going to buy a box of 8 - 17 oz. glasses and 8 tumblers for $9.00 at WalMart and use 7 of the glasses as vases for artificial flowers on the tables and then after the Reception they can have the whole box and after washing the glasses they are as good as new! Other than the Country Club the most expensive thing would be flowers but check online for wholesale distributors. My daughter found her custom made Bridal Gown at www.lightinthebox.com and it is beautiful and was only $78.00 (yes seventy eight dollars) plus $40.00 for shipping and reviews on the site were all good - no alternations needed, etc. Hope this post helps someone!
How many stems do I need??? I am going to be using calla lilies in my wedding. For my bouquet, bridesmaid's, boutineers, ceremony and reception decoration... everything. How many stems do I need? I am going to use mini callas for the bridesmaids and boutineers, big callas for my bouquet and a mix for the rest of the decorations. We are having four attendants on each side and then an additional 15 boutinees.corsages for close family members. I just want to get an idea of how many stems I need because I am looking into purchasing my flowers wholesale and doinf it myself... I just don't know where to start! Thanks for some info... it helps:-)... But I am really looking for more of an answer in TOTAL counting all the things together. This way I can see how much it would cost in comparison to hiring a florist... thanks!
Making own bouquets how far in advance...? Having gotten ridiculously expensive quotes for flowers we went to a wholesale cut flower store and have decided to make our own bouquets. ($1600 quote from florist to $124 quote from wholsaler) How far in advance can we make them and still have them looking perfect on the day? We plan to keep them in the fridge until the wedding. They will mostly be peonies and roses with come carnations...maybe.
Thoughts on our nightmare reception!? We got married July 6, 2008. The wedding was beautiful, but we had hired a 1937 Cadillac and driver and he never showed up. Found out the next day that he had broken down and had tried to call us but wasn't able to reach us.The reception was at a nice country club. We went to the reception and within 20 minutes, the power went out. We had no lights, no A/C (had to be at least 110 degrees inside), there was no music, therefore no dancing. It was so dark that people couldn't see what they were eating. The cake was melting. DVD was not shown. I had asked for a lot of candles on each table but there were only a few. My best friend and I did all the flowers. They were wholesale and instead of sending blue hydrangeas, they sent turquoise. Had to have them flown in from Miami. We didn't get enough of the ones we needed and they all died in the heat. Weren't able to get the pics we wanted with our guests. We planned this wedding for 7 months. Checking into what to do. Suggestions?
Favors/place cards? I am trying to stick to a budget, but still want things nice. My wedding is in December, and so I picked dark green and white for my colors. I am thinking about combining the placecards/favors. My idea was to purchase small white poinsettias (I have a family member who will be getting the for me wholesale), and print out the place cards at home. I would use those clear card holders florists use to put the place cards in the flowers. Everyone will take their plant to the table with them. I will have large white candles in the center of the table (The table cloths are dark green), and I thought that the flowers would be a nice way to make the tables prettier without spending a fortune on fancy centerpieces, and then everyone could take the plant with them. What do you think? The candles will be in tall holders, so there won't be a huge fire hazzard, and I do want them near peoples plates, so that the whole table will look festive, not just the center! Also, I just happen to like poinsettias...I'm not really trying to be "christmas-y"...I just think that they are such a pretty winter flower.
Wedding Flowers? I am getting married in April and am searching for my flowers. I have gone to Los Angeles (the flower district) and have found a place called "Daisy's Garden" This place doesn't have a website and they speak Spanish (some English, but not very well)....I went with my friend and the florist showed me beautiful flowers and arrangements for much less than what I would pay at a typical...non-wholesale florist....i was wondering if anyone has been to "Daisy's Garden" before...or any florist in the LA flower district...and, if so, what was your experience with them? (please only tell me if you have used them for a large event...not just for a bouquet or something) my second question is....do you think i should trust the great deal in LA...or pay more for peace of mind??? Thanks!
