Winter Wedding flowers? Me and my fiance are getting married In January. I would like to make my own bouquet from silk flowers. I think i want to use lillys but I cant seem to find any pictures to go by. I would like them to be Simple and elegant. We dontreally have a color theme since it will be just me and him, but he said he likes Blue if we incorperate a color. The only problem with that is we are going to dinner after and my dress for dinner is cream and black, so the blue would not match (I planed on taking them with me). Any suggestions on where to find nice pictures of lilly bouquets? And what to do about my Blue delima? Would Silver look better?

Winter Wonderland Wedding, uhm help? Hey guys, so my boyfriend just proposed to me! well not right this second, about a couple days ago. Anyways, I've been going nuts planning! We've decided to have the wedding in the winter of 2009 [December] in London, Ontario [Canada] We both love the winter, he's a hockey play and i'm a snowboarder. I want to know your opinions about where I want to get photos taken. I have this really awesome idea [well i think so at-least] of having pictures of us taken, after the ceremony, at night in Victoria Park. It'll be all snowy and the best part is that the trees [really big ones lol] are covered in Christmas Lights [coloured]. http://www.victoria-park.com/winter-wonder-night.htm What do you guys think of that idea? My mom doesn't really like it, she think it's too cheap. She's more of a perfect elegant rich wedding look. Where I, too want it perfect, but just laid back and what happens happens. As far as dresses go... thats the only part thats really stressing me out. I know my photographer and videogrpaher [this moment forever, friends of mine] and caterer. Wedding ceremony and reception aren't going to be too hard. I want a winter wedding but i DON'T want a faux fur dress. I know this might sound ridiculous, but I want stappless and then just like a shaul or a wrap thing for outside. but I'm not sure, any advice or anything? thanks guys (: hollyy ohh some of you have asked [who've been answering a couple of my questions] who my flowergirl and ring bearer are.Sterling's going to be our ring bearer [son] and our flower girl is going to be our daughter unless its a boy then we're having two ring bearers. [we're expecting again] the two dresses im inlove with http://www.ritchebridal.com/showfashion.asp?id=290&f=weddinggowns http://www.ritchebridal.com/showfashion.asp?id=358&f=weddinggowns
A no-flower wedding? My future sister-in-law has asked me to help her with her snow-flake themed winter wedding. The catch is - she doesn't like flowers. She feels they belong in their natural state and not cut and brought inside. Any creative ways to add very simple and elegant touches without flowers. What about bouquets and boutonnières, center pieces, church decorations, etc. Links to pictures will be especially helpful!! --- Please don't get me wrong - I do wish to honor her wishes and don't judge them. I'm just blank on ideas to help her (w/o going the obvious silk route - which I personally am not a fan of, but she may be okay with).

Has anyone ever been wed at Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, CO? Our wedding is planned for February 2009. I'm just not sure about what kind of winter/ fall flowers to use. Pictures I think would help me to kind of picture how to set it up. We are looking to have no more than 25 guests, so the Canopy Hall would be the best option. Reception Hall ideas or other places near? I don't really plan on having a lot of flowers or anything, especially in the cave, do the the sensitivity of the walls.
How do I set a date for my wedding? First of all, i'm the most indecisive person in the world.... and I have the bad luck that will bring rain on my wedding day... My fiance and I just got engaged 2 weeks ago, and I'd love to set a date sometime soon, but can't decide! We live in New England (freezing in the winter, rainy springs and autumns).... He doesn't want a summer wedding because he doesn't want to sweat to death in his tux. But I've always dreamed of a summer wedding, with all the pretty bright colors I could choose for dresses and flowers, and pretty scenery for pictures outside. I know the wedding won't be until 2010 but I just have no idea which month in which to get married. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Can I have curly willow or similar type branches for summer wedding? My fiance requested that our centerpieces be tall and possibly branches such as curly willow or pussy willow. Our colors are red, black and white so he suggested that the branches be in one of those colors. I've only seen this done in fall or winter weddings since the season matches the decor. However, we have a lot of home decor with these types of branches in our own home and LOVE how they look. Would it be appropriate for an August wedding? I'm not much of a flower person, I love flowers in gardens but not in bouquets so much. I'd take branches and/or candles any day. Also, we're trying to stay on a small wedding floral budget and hopefully I can make these centerpieces myself. Would it be fine or would it look completely out of season? Know of any good pictures online that I could get ideas from? Also, would guests want to as a take-home centerpiece? Not sure what we'd do with 15 centerpieces. We love these branch arrangements, but not that many! Thanks!
Winter Centerpeices-Where to get supplies?Ideas?Input?! HELP? I'm having a december wedding and would like to do my own centerpeices- I'm on a strict budget and have to do about 10-maybe 11 tables... I have tons of silk white rose pedals that i sprayed ice blue- and would like to incorporate candles and personal touches on the centerpeices. Orginally i had the idea of a picture frame, silver, with a decorated peice of paper with a picture of us at a point in our relationship, and a nice quote or saying that reflects that point in our relationship. Ex: A picture of my husband in his army uniform at the airport when he got deployed and me hugging him- with the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" etc.. I realized that if i put that at the center of the table, blue pedals all around it, and candles around it within the pedals... that the person setting behind the picture frame won't be able to see the what's in it, but will be staring at the back of the frame- also, they'll sit quite high...being that i want a regular sized peice of paper picture frame... soo.. my 2nd idea was to wrap different size empty boxes and put bows on them, etc, and just stack them in a crooked or staggered way that they won't be high, but kinda just laying on each other. our colors are silver, light blue, white and black. i could wrap the boxes in silvers with snowflakes, shiney, maybe blue bows... i have lots of ways to incorporate our colors to these.... if i do the boxes, my maid of honor didn't think i needed the candles and mass amounts of pedals... the tables are 72" round white linen tables that are at a country club. the dinner won't be til 6 and will last to about 10, so i was thinking candles to set the mood. HELP! the picture frames were cheap, and i was thinking of the boxes- but where do i get the boxes? how are they cheap? i found a couple shoe boxes but not enough to put at least 3 boxes on each table.. where do i get the boxes? any ideas? should i do the picture frames? i don't want flowers or vases or anything of the sorts... THANK YOU! :)

Can anyone please translate these simple sentences to Spanish? Thank you so much! PLEASE DO NOT USE ONLINE TRANSLATORS, THEY'RE HORRIBLE! Translate : 1. Kids of fashion. 2. The following picture is a beautiful wedding in the Maya Riviera. The bride must have taken a lot of time to get ready. Of course, she did the essentials such as washing her face and brushing her teeth. First, she styled her long hair by curling it. She also put on make up. As you can see, she bought a wedding dress to go with the occasion. It's light pink, with small flowers. She also added a simple, small bracelet as an accessory. Usually, brides would get married in churches, unlike this woman, who is standing on a pier. To get ready for a wedding is long, hard work. 3. There are many stylish people in Eastlake Middle. Right now, winter clothes are in style. Students tend to layer clothes for the cold weather. Many girls are starting to wear hoodies, boots, scarfs, and cute hats. Hoodies would cost about 30-60 dollars. Boots would be between 50-100 dollars. Scarfs would be about 10-20 dollars. The hats would be about 20-30 dollars. Many of these clothes can be found at the following stores: Aeropostale, Abrecrombie, Love Culture, and Forever 21. Guys would wear hoodies, long jeans, and maybe beanies. These clothes could also be found at the following stores: Zumiez, Pacsun, and Abrecrombie. Guy hoodies would be about 50-100 dollars. Jeans would be about 70 dollars, and beanies would be 15-30 dollars. 4. Clothes at eastlake middle are very different to styles at other Spanish speaking countries. For one thing, many schools in spanish speaking countries would wear uniforms. In Eastlake middle, students can wake up every morning choosing their own outfits to wear, instead of wearing what the school gives them. Students in eastlake middle can wear jeans and shorts. When you wear uniforms, they will consist of long skirts and loose pants. Eastlake middle students can wear tank tops. Most uniforms require students to wear shirts that cover your shoulders. Shoes are different to. We can wear boots, flats, or brands of many shoes. Uniforms require sneakers and black shoes. There is a big difference between Eastlake Middle style and other Spanish Speaking countries' styles.
Your opinions on these ideas for the ceremony? The wedding will be on Christmas Eve in this beautiful cathedral, but I was hoping to get some more input on a few of these ideas. The colors are a kind of powder blue and silver (for more of a winter theme) , but my fiance was also hoping for an evening wedding. Since these colors aren't exactly big and bold... do you think they will get washed out? I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen... but if people won't be able to tell the difference between a silver ribbon and a blue one... then I'll stop worrying so much about the decorations. Also, my bridesmaid and I came up with this idea. You know how during the Christmas eve services, a lot of larger churches have the candlelight service? What is your opinion on doing something more like this? I think it would look gorgeous, and would tie in really nicely, because the centerpieces for the tables at the reception are candelabras... but I definetly don't want my wedding to look like a funeral. What about replacing the bridesmaids and brides flowers with a candle... or combining candles and flowers? I mean... its just a thought in progress, but I'd love to hear some opinions? Have you seen any pictures like these? Or been to a wedding that incorporated those ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. =] Thanks. Okay... just because you have a disgruntled family life doesn't mean my friends and family do. It's a destination wedding, we invited whole families, and never asked anybody to pay for their own trip or accommodation - so actually people are pretty excited. Not to mention we're all young and don't exactly have loads of kids. Anyways... thanks for your opinion on something that I totally wasn't asking? I forgot to mention that - YES the venue allows the lit candelabras and YES the we already asked, and the cathedral will allow them as well. But I didn't think of what would happen if they blew out... good point. Thank you =]
