How to store silk wedding flowers? I have a brand new silk flower bridal bouquet, but the wedding isnt for 2 years! Is there anything I can do to store the bouquet to keep it looking as pretty and fresh as it does now?
Silk Wedding Flowers? I am considering having silk wedding flowers instead of real. Has anyone done this and had problems? Also, if I do silk flowers, do the boutineres have to match our bouquets? Or can we just get a smaller flower with similar colors? Thanks so much! The colors I am looking at having are a deep yellow, deep orange and a rusty red. I am getting married in September and the girl's dresses are a sage in color. Do you think that would be a good match?
Wedding Flowers (Silk)? Does anyone do a website where I can get reasonably priced silk wedding flower for my wedding. Bouitneers, bridesmaid flowers, etc..
I am trying to find a good website for silk wedding flowers...? And does anyone know, how much less expensive are they than the real ones. Was it worth it to get the silk and save the money or did they look like crap? We are having an outdoor wedding in the mountains so we don't need a lot of decoration but for the bouquets, boutteniers (sp?), and some for the arbor. Thanks.
would silk flowers be a better choice for a wedding? I am getting married and I want to have silk flowers so I don't have to worry about wilting and they will look fresh all day. Along with the fact that I would like to keep the flowers to decorate later. Any suggestions?
Silk Flowers for wedding?? I've been asked to use silk flowers for my wedding, how do they look? I dont think i've seen silk flowers... Do they look real? It was a suggestion from family and friends to use the flowers, i guess family suggested it since they are helping to pay for it.... :p
Inexpensive silk wedding bouquets or flowers in Arizona? I'd like to find two silk bouquets for my wedding, which is Dec. 2. The flowers can be white and/or blue (the wedding colors are silver and various shades of blue) and I'd like to find (or, failing that, make, but we're kind of pressed for time here) arrangements inexpensive enough that I can get a decent-sized one for myself and one for my maid of honor without going much beyond the $50 range. I'm looking online but would just as soon go to an area seller and just pick them up. Any ideas?
Price difference between silk and real flowers for wedding? i contacted a silk florist from michigan (i'm in ohio) to price an entire wedding set for 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 cascading bride bouquet, 9 boutinieres and 5 corsages in the specific flowers that i want (sunflowers, lilacs and sage roses) and it came to $422 shipped. If I would opt for "real" flowers, would the florist charge a lot more? I am actually crafty and would consider making my own, but I'm afraid of making them look obviously home made.
Need Websites With Silk/Artificial Flowers for My Wedding and Flower Color Help? I am getting married in May and have decided to use silk/artificial flowers. I'm not sure on colors, flowers, or where to get them. My dress is ivory with a champagne trim and my bridesmaids are champagne and maid of honor is latte. Groomsmen are wearing champagne vests and Groom and Best Man are wearing Mossy Oak/Camo vests. I need colors that will go with everyone. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Using silk flowers for wedding? Getting married in December 08, using silk flowers. Can I go ahead and buy my flowers now or should I wait? I really want to use lilies and roses, my colors are royal blue and silver, so I am having a little trouble finding what I want in those colors.
Recommendations for Silk Flowers For My Wedding? I am really giving some thought to having silk flowers for my wedding for a number of reasons...it's an outdoor summer wedding so real flowers will lilt AND attract bees PLUS...I am allergic to fresh flowers. I'm just worried about them looking tacky... I've come across a few wesbites where the silk flowers are really pretty, but I'm worried that when they're delivered, they're going to look cheap. So, can any brides / brides to be recommend a place or website where you got your silk flowers? I'm looking for people who have used silk flowers and like them so much, they'd want to refer this bride to be! I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
Anybody choose silk flowers for their wedding....? I'm getting married in another 5 weeks and $$ is at a premium we have to pay the vendors and get a few other last minute things, and I've been trying to find a good florist, I've even tried Safeway and honestly we just cant afford what they are charging, I dont want to spend more than $200 for all the flowers we need....We only need my bouquet {it can be hand tied nothing dramatic or sweeping}; a Maid of Honor bouquet a Bridesmaid bouquet ~ approximately 4 pin on corsages ~ approximately 5 bouts ~ and that's it, we have other things for the table centerpieces and the flower girl has silk flower petals that I purchased at Michael's.....I want my special day to be just that but with all the other expenses flowers seem at this point a luxury we cannot afford.....If anyone has every used silk flowers for their wedding or no of anyone that has please tell me if they looked realistic or not, I dont want to be walking down the isle looking like a total fool..... Thank you Stressed out Bride2b {with a stiff neck ouch!}
Real or Silk flowers for outdoor wedding...? Everyone is saying silk is tacky... I agree to a point. I have been in wedding with silk and felt/smelled like a funeral home. However, I am getting married in 2 1/2 months outside in TN Humidity and Heat... I think I want real for the walkdown and my fiance's, but silk for the keepsake and for the wedding party... What do you think? I've seen some websites where silk's were used and I had to e-mail and ask if they were real or fake. When she replied... I was shocked. For a 21 piece set... Real is running almost $2100... for silk+shipping, and minus mine $215. Hmm... here is the website I am looking at www.weddingcents.com. They have sprays that can make silk smell real? Opinions, ideas, suggestions... PLUS so help me God if there were bee's buzzing around me... I would look like a run away bride... Trying to get this figured out by the end of the month... =)
Are silk flowers okay for a wedding.? My Bouquet, and Bridesmaids/Groomsmen/Parents... Will have real one but,I really don't want to spend $3000.00 for flowers when they are gonna be thrown away at the end of the night. I would like silk ones, so that everyone can have something to take home, that will last forever, All the flowers are going to be tied, with a ribbon, with our names and wedding date . So whats up...could that be done, without anyone thinking... "Oh! How cheap!!!
Silk or real flowers for a wedding? I'm having my wedding in NS but I am currently living in ON. It will be in December, next month. We are currently debating whether to go with silk flowers or get real ones. Since we had originally though my Aunt would be doing them, we hadn't budgeted much money for them. I already have silk flowers for all the decorating/centerpieces. I was wondering about the bouquets and boutonnieres. What would look nicer? Which would be cheaper? What would be easier (considering the time of year, and location)? I'm thinking if I went with fake flowers, I could have them all picked out sometime soon and not have to worry about getting that done a week or two before the wedding when I fly down. Any advice would be great.
If I prepare silk flowers now for Aug wedding will they droop.? Using tall approx 3 ft tower vases. The floral arrangement on top will be like a hugh topiary. It is approx. 22 wide and 18 inches high with silk rose flowers 9 and 7 inches tall. The greenery will be 11 and 9 inches in length. I also used the pick or stem machine on the stems of the flowers. I am not a florist I just like messing with flowers but, I wasn't sure if the roses and greenery would hold their shape. I have done one and I feel like the very tope of the topiary seems to be drooping a little bit. I know I could always reform the flowers right before the wedding But, if that is the case I would probably wait and complete the arrangements about a week before the wedding.
wedding flowers real or silk???? i get married in a few weeks but am still having a flowers problem do i get real or silk i will be going away stright after for 3 weeks so will have to leave flowers behind also can you tell the diffarence between real and silk
Do you think silk flowers at a wedding are tacky? I really want to use real flowers (My flowers are pink & white oriental lilies), but I don't think I'm going to be able to afford it. Do you think silk flowers would be tacky? Thanks. Wow! I wasn't expecting so many responses! But I think no flowers would be more tacky than silk flowers. And no, I wouldn't be buying them from a 99cent store, but I'm not going to pay as much for them as real... (that would be kinda pointless). Anyway, I was thinking using real for the bouquets, and silk for the pews and stuff, but also real for the centerpieces (bc my centerpieces are going to be floating candles in a clean bowl with pink & clear stones in the bottom w/a few flowers (no stem) around it. And no, I'm not changing my flowers. They are my favorites & that is what I want.
Silk Vs real flowers for a wedding? So i was thinking about making my own bouquets. Although i dont know if i want to make them with silk flowers or if i want to use real flowers. Which do you think looks better. Personally i think real flowers would look nicer only because the fake flowers i have ran into ultimately look way too cheesy and you can tell their fake! Just want some opinions. im thinking of using white and red roses andn carnations. with some ivy

What can I carry at my wedding besides flowers? My grandmother and I are both severely allergic to flowers so I don't really want to carry them. I don't like flowers that much either so I was thinking something other than silk flowers. Also, I need somthing other than flowers to use as centerpieces on the tables. My wedding will be in July 2007 so I have time to plan something elaborate.
Wedding Flowers? I was wondering...has anyone gotten their wedding flowers from TheBridesBouquet.com? They have beautiful silk flowers, but I wanted to know if anyone has ordered from them? And if so, what was the quality like? They look so real on the website, but that could be deceiving. Also, has anyone had silk flowers for their bouquets instead of real ones? I think I'm leaning more toward silk, they're cheaper and they last forever without having to preserve them. Any help would be appreciated. :-) I already placed an order with them, I'm ordering a single rose, a sample color swatch, and a boutonniere. I thought maybe someone could tell me if they had a good experience with this company.
