Please place your vote for our wedding favors!!!? Hi Folks, my fiance' and I are getting married this summer and are having a difficult time picking our wedding favors for our reception. Please take a moment and vote for your favorite option, any explanation for your vote is greatly appreciated. Thanks. A. We are getting married in wine country - the first option is a wine bottle "stopper" with a crystal heart on the top... http://www.favorwarehouse.com/favors/f2217.html B. I'm a pilot and thought perhaps that a cool silver luggage tag would be appropriate... http://www.favorwarehouse.com/favors/d4236.html C. Our wedding has a "perfect pair" theme loosly tied to it, the final option is a set of pear candles in a ribbon tied box.... http://www.weddingthings.com/product/perfect_pair_pear_sample_pack/pear_favors Although my fiance' might disagree I tend to think candy is so impersonable & tacky. Please let us know what you think, we're not trying to invent the wheel, just find something more unique than M&Ms. Thanks!!!!
Who has ideas for a Crystal/Diamond-like themed wedding? My wedding isn't till 2010 - 2011 and I have a long way to start planning this huge once in a lifetime event for me and my boyfriend. I'm obessed with the idea of crystals and diamonds for my wedding. Well at least the diamond look ya know. What are some ways I can do this but not have to shell out huge amounts of money for this? In other words I want my wedding to be all glamour and glitz without the plantium wedding cost. What favors, invitations, decor for the church and reception can be? Thanks to all who can help me out.
Wedding Favor ideas? I am making a swan wedding favors. I bought crystal swans, white tulle and burgundy ribbons (which is the color of my wedding). I put three hershy kisses tie them up with the burgundy ribbon. My question is do I have to glue the tied tulle inside the swan or not?
Questions About Wedding Reception Favors? My wedding will be in June with a calla lily theme. I have 3 favors. 1. Calla lily shaped candle holders 2. Silver bell with calla lily handle 3. Crystal coasters with a calla lily design (in sets of 2) First question, do I have to pick one or is it ok to use all three? Like, if different people walk away with different favors, so they can sort of decide what they like. They all go with our theme and work well together. So, do you think its of to use them all? Second question, we are expecting 150 people and our on a limited budget. Do you think these favors will be enough? Or do we need to pair them with something else? I've been to weddings where there were small bags with candy as favors and I've been to others where there were practically gift baskets for everyone so I'm not sure.
What is a good quote about love and pearls? I am looking for a quote that would be good to put on a tag for a wedding favor. The favor is a crystal clam with a pearl inside. I want to tie pearls into my wedding, and I need a quote that relates pearls to love. I want our guests to read the quote, look at the gift, and know how much we are in love. If you can come up with something I would REALLY appreciate it. I want this day to be perfect! To clarify, the pearl is real. My bridesmaids are all wearing pearl jewlrey. My colors are light pink and ivory, and the pearl is ivory. Hence the connections to the wedding. I am looking for something that someone will read and instantly connect pearls to love. The gift is very nice, I just want a sappy love quote or poem to go with it. Corny, maybe, but I like the idea. The poem ideas so far are going in the right direction, just not quite what i'm looking for. Please help!
Are there any quotations or poems about the relationship between pearls and love? I want to give away crystal oyster shells that hold a pearl inside at my wedding as favors. To us, the pearl symbolizes the precious thing that has grown inside us or ... we have found a precious thing inside us, whatever. Does anybody know of an elegant way to express these thoughts? I want to print the sentiment on little scrolls to attach to the favor boxes. Thank you!
Winter Wedding Ideas? There are only a couple things set in stone: the wedding will be in a Catholic church, it won't be for a couple years (when I finish my degree), and we want the colors to be very wintery - ice/crystal blue and royal blue. It will take place in the first half of January and we will invite about 20 people. Any dress ideas, favors, reception ideas, or ANYTHING that would be nice to have at a winter wedding? We live in Alaska, so snow is abundant around that time, and so is the freezing cold! If we can keep it under $2000 that would be really good too. Thanks! Just letting you all be creative here! Okay, look, the "set in stone" part, is set in stone. He-he. We are Catholic. We will be having a Nuptial Mass. Mass is held in a dedicated Catholic church. So.... there. Sleigh ride, although expensive, and it is about 0 degrees outside in Alaska in January, is kind of a nice idea. thanks
Any ideas for DIY Chargers for under the plates at my wedding? It's a destination wedding, and the theme is aqua blue. I was thinking of just bringing paper placemats down with me, but apparently that is not very nice. Any ideas how I could make a beautiful charger myself? And have it be portable to the Dominican? I saw some online at the following: http://www.do-it-yourself-weddings.com/charger-plate.html I like the leaf one, but I don;t know how I could make one for Destination theme? I want to keep it clean looking as well, as there is quite a bit going on with my favors, I have aqua starfish plates, and pretty mint tins decorated with ribbon and crystals. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Anybody know where i can get come earrings like this? I saw some earrings this one woman had and she told me that she got them in her country it was like columbia or something, they were gorgeous. They were a straight silver chain hanging down and at the end of it was a crystal star. it was a clear star. http://www.hotref.com/category/20/heart-key-chain-wedding-favors_2012_r.jpg The star was like that, clear, 3d, I've been looking for this everywhere. Tried every jewlery store i've come across, Even to make-you-own-jewlery stores, and i can't seem to find the star. I'd even settle for a heart. But it was that crystal type, Hell it might have even been a glass or prism pendant, But it wasn't plastic, it was a perfectly clear. So fabulous, please try to help me find this.
Bamboo Centerpieces? I was brainstorming some non-expensive DIY centerpieces... I am really ticked about paying for flowers that are going to die in a week so I thought why not do bamboo centerpieces they don't die (if you take care of them) and double as great favors so I was thinking this... Buying Bamboo stems and cutting them into 3 sets of 3 different heights. Then, buying three different height squared vases and fill them up with wedding color crystals) and doing the following... Each table would have 3 square centerpieces of different heights. The tallest vase would include crystals with 3 bamboo stems and I would add 3 stems of orchids to add color and definition. The medium vase would include crystals and 3 Bamboo stems and I would add 5 roses tied together down the stems with a colored ribbon. Then the smallest vase would be 3 bamboo stems and 3 lilies placed on the corner. What do you guys think? I know it may be a little difficult to visualize but would also like you opinions. I think this is an affordable easy DIY project with lots of height and variation with little flowers as possible therefore it won’t be such a large flower expense. FYI- My colors are pink and green (inspired by orchids I love orchids) and the ceremony is on a ranch style home outdoors with a ceremony outside by a fountain. And the actual reception under a large gazebo with a beautiful wood detailed roof. My fiancé and I are also very simple laid back outgoing people.
Help with table names for reception? My wedding is in January and I have a winter theme going for my wedding it is also inspired by Cinderella. My wedding colors are light blue, silver and white. My bridesmaids are wearing black dresses and we decided to bring black into the reception by having black table cloths, napkins and chair ties. My cake table and our table along with the black are going to have an overlay cloth of crystals. My cake is actually going to look like a wintery castle. The top looks like a castle and the cake is all white with light blue crystal trees. Now my favors are going to be tree seedlings. Our center pieces are going to have white flowers with evergreen and candles surrounding. My problem is what should my tables be called or should I just go with numbers. Thanks! :)
Anyone know where I can get prisms in bulk for cheap? I'm thinking about using these for decorations since they are elegant looking in themselves and will give off a rainbow pattern. ALSO I may tell the guests to choose one to take home as a favor. How does this sound? I'm having an Old Hollywood theme wedding in a church with beautiful stain glass windows. I'd love to hang several in the windows. Also, I'm wanting to do a lot of crystal looking items for decor, and I thought these might be a good addition. Any thoughts? of COURSE i wouldn't be mad if you used the idea! :) actually, email me about it, and i can tell you what i'm planning so far and maybe together we can come up with some great ideas! tonya1@hotmail.com
What do you think? We are using fancy plastic silverware and plastic plates as well to make the table a little more like a fancy wedding but on my budget, so this will be set out as if it were a sit down dinner(we are having a buffett) and the center pieces will be medium size wide open top bowels with pink crystals inside and then we will make mini bouqet wrapped with ribbon that matches the rest of our theme so when people leave and want to take the center piece they will take the flowers not the bowels as we are borrowing them from the wedding planner! We will have butterfly votives in front of each plate for the seating card and a chocolate colored box with a ribbon that matches will have a gourmet brownie inside! The butterfly votive and the brownie will be the favors. What do you guys think? We are doing the reception at night so I thought the votives would add the ambieance I am looking for with out breaking the bank
