Champagne Wedding Favors Knowledge Base
I need inexspensive wedding favors for my guest? My colors are Ivory/Champagne and Latte I need wedding favors, I don't want to give candy I want to do something different that everyone can use after the wedding. I am having about 250 guest but I can't afford to pay alot of money. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Where do i put Wedding party favors? I am have an Oct 25 wedding. I want to do mints for my wedding favors. Where do I put them at reception? at the tables? I am not having a sit down dinner, more of a buffet. So not every table is set for everyone. ALso, what are some good ideas for fall flowers? My colors are gray, champagne and blue.
wedding favor advice- mini bottles of champagne? I'm having a small wedding, only 50 people and us. For favors I'm doing mini bottles of champagne with personalized lables and wondering what else I could add to it? Like maybe hang something off of the bottles? I'm already doing cookies/candy at the dinner. I just feel like the bottles alone are boring. I know I could do ribbon but I guess I'm looking for other ideas not just to decorate but something useful? Or maybe I should just do cheap full size champagne bottles? Any ideas would be helpful, thank you! My wedding is in the fall, my colors/theme is red black and white. That's the reason I chose champagne, because it wasn't a crappy candle or something stupid. I picked something I know everyone will like and that everyone will take with them. I'm not having a wedding where I'm going to play games to win a favor. So thanks for your crappy advice.
Children's wedding favors? We're giving our guests mini champagne bottles for favors. Considering that these are inappropriate for kids, is it expected that we purchase "appropriate" favors for the attending children?
Help! Need fancy wedding favors -- fast? I really need help with favors. I just found out my sister-in-law is getting married in 3 weeks -- the short notice is not her fault, she just found out too. Anyway, I'm asking for ideas for making VERY nice favors, not pillow mints in plastic champagne glasses (that's the last resort). She won't get to have a big wedding, but at least she should be able to have an elegant wedding. Thanks in advance!!
Wedding Favors & Centerpieces? I'm helping a coworker put together her wedding in April. The colors she's picked are Ivory/Champagne, Gold, and Black. We have the invitations more or less figured out. I'm just trying to help her come up with favors and centerpieces that are fairly inexpensive. She wants it to be classy, simple, and elegant without breaking the bank. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thank you! :) PS: I'll pick a best answer.
What is the average number of favors for a wedding? I have heard one is fine, but I always had the idea that 3-4 was acceptable. Here are some details: My reception site includes a centerpiece (a bowl with floating flowers) that is not available to keep. Therefore, there's no centerpiece to give away. MY IDEA was to get 2-3 nice gifts for EACH table and have those little contests to give them away. My first wedding favor already includes shot glasses with our names and date and I'll be putting tulle with mints or champagne jelly beans in them with ribbons. Perhaps, since those are the nice favors, I can do a few "cheap" ones for each person...the shot glasses are per person as well. Additionally, I am cutting corners and therefore, we don't have a limo so that cost is out, cake for my wedding is included in my site as well and my dress isn't that expensive. Sorry for all that info, but it's a bit crucial for the informative part of my questions. For the first response: Contest isn't really the right word. The wedding I went to, the DJ said something along the lines of, "Whomever was married closest to this day at each table gets to take the centerpiece home." That's what I'm talking about. For the second response: Hopefully no one leaves those shot glasses behind...or I'll just open up a bar and use them :P
Ideas for unique wedding favors $5-8 per guest? We are having a Sunday champagne brunch and the theme is French and decor is fancy vintage. I need some ideas for unique wedding favors. I was thinking about wine with custom labels, but also want some other things to consider. I am really over Jordan Almonds and little organza bags with stuff in them. Not keen on candles. No Eiffel Towers either. Any ideas? I can spend up to $ 8.00 per guest. Do people even expect favors these days? We live by a local winery and they were offerring to do the bottles for $8.00 each since we will be buying 100 bottles. ( we get a 25% discount for the bulk order) I guess I should go and sample the wine first if we go that route to make sure it is good. hmmm... based on the comments, though,I wonder if favors are even necessary. It is a big expense.
ideas for wedding reception favors? anyone have ideas for relatively cheap reception favors? my friend used champagne glasses and filled them with hersey kisses of their colors, but where can i get cheap bulk champagne glasses?
Are wedding favors still common in Australia? I'm planning on buying bulk pretty champagne glasses that I found on a wedding website (www.efavormart.com), and then filling them will personalised printed satin bags (from same website) which will have chocolates in them, and also using some pearl spray to pretty them up. That way they can use the champagne glass & eat the chocolates on the night, and keep the glass and also keep the little bag, if they want to, or just chuck it. What do you think of that? Can you think of something better? Is it a waste of time? I've never even been to a wedding so that makes planning my own a little difficult :\
Who gets a party favor at a wedding? My fiance and I are having some trouble regarding party favors. If we invite a friend, and he brings a guest (his girlfriend), does his girlfriend get a party favor as well? Or is it just 1 per the couple? Note, we addressed each invitation to "[Friend's Name] and Guest". The party favors are champagne flutes and sugar coated almonds.
Suggestions for invitations and favors for a Rock themed Wedding? My fiance and I agreed to have a Rock themed wedding. I need some ideas of a cool but proper wedding invitation. I want it to be catchy, but let people know that it's not just some party their attending. I don't want them to be too formal or dressy, but no jeans and t-shirts either. I also need ideas as far as favors. I have already chosen the centerpieces...black and red rose petals, a vase on top of a mirror with a red rose and black sand. I was thinking champagne glasses with skulls on them for the favors, but I don't know if that is going overboard. Can anyone give me some ideas or invites or favors?
where can I get champagne glasses for 50cents each? I need appx 100 glasses for part of a wedding favor i am doing. I want to pay only 50cents each for the glasses. have any suggestions or websites of where to get them for this price? all suggestions help!
Wedding Favor candy? I am having these wedding favor jars for my wedding favors....My colors are ivory satin and champagne. The sticker I will be using is ivory. What kind of candy should I use to fill these jars that will look nice and elegant? White Jelly Belly's? White M&M's? Jordan almonds? Butter Mints? http://www.labelsbuydesign.com/images/themecandyjar2.jpg
Do you use the wine glasses you received as a favor from someone else's wedding? I was at the Goodwill the other day. Saw a bunch of wineglasses (or brandy snifters or champagne flutes) printed with the names of various brides and grooms with their wedding dates. What did you do with the glasses you have received? Are they treasured keepsakes? Do you use them regularly? Do you keep them for a while and then eventually donate them?
Wedding Favor? I am planning on a fall wedding with colors being mocha brown, chocolate brown, claret(deep red), champagne, and a white/cream/ivory color(haven't decided which but probably cream). I have been trying to figure out favors. So far fiance and I have come up with 3 different ideas. The thing about them is that each would significantly impact the type of wedding we will have; formal, family oriented, or fun/easy-going. Personally, I don't really care which type of wedding I have which is why we are letting the favors decide. So the three are: 1) Little bottles of olive oil, which would be more formal and lend to a wine-esque theme 2) Jars of homemade jam of some form which would make for a family, home-like atmosphere, more seasonal/possibly paired with dried flowers?? 3) Homemade gourmet candy apples which would definitely make the wedding more fun, also more seasonal Kids will be attending, so maybe one of the first two for adults and the apples for kids. If you were the guest which one? Just to add, candy apples would be bagged and given out at the end of the reception so no messy kids(at least not in dress clothes lol)!
Witty Champagne Tag Needed? Our wedding planner has advised us that our guests are not allowed to open their champagne favors (mini champagne bottles) at the reception site due to liquor laws. She suggested that we put a tag on each bottle that says "please do not open champagne in this room." Can you help me think of some witty ways to say don't open the champagne? I'm not very creative... Thanks!
What kind of liquor would be good to serve at a wedding reception? I am not much of a drinker, so I really don't know what to offer. Since my mother is paying for the reception, she does not really want a hard liquor. I am passing out personalized shot glasses as favors, so I would like one or two different types of liquor to be served. What would be a good suggestion for shots? (we will of course have beer, wine and champagne, but I want the guests to be able to use the shot glasses...if they want)
Wedding is in three weeks and out of town? I need more than an emergency kit, I can't afford to "forget" anything. I am putting together a tote with items I need to bring. So far I have: cake topper champagne flutes dress, veil, shoes undergarments party favors marriage license cake knife set aisle runner Please help me, I must be missing a thousand things.
Candy Centerpieces for a wedding...? We are having a formal wedding a in August that is very small, just parents, siblings, grandparents and a few very close friends. In September we are having a large reception for all of our friends, cousins, aunts and uncles, and anybody else who is unable to attend the ceremony/reception in August. We want this reception to be very fun/funky. We are a fairly young couple, 23 and 25, so we really want it to be fun. We come up with the idea of oversized party glasses,(martini, margarita, brandy sniffers and Champagne) on every table with candy and candy scooper's with bags to beside them to fill.(plus they double as wedding favors!!) We will have a little note saying every glass has a different candy and to go around the room to find what you like. We thought it was a good way to get the guests to interact with one other aswell. We were wondering if this was to childish though, and we are looking for opinions before we buy everything. Thanks for all your thoughts and input!
Need wedding ideas? I am planning a wedding with a Pink Champagne theme. I need a few more ideas for favors. I already have bubbles that are champage bottles, and we're having a champagne toast. Any other ideas? Thanx! :Þ
Champagne Bottles? We are going to have a "champagne" theme for our wedding. The sashes that the girls are wearing are champagne and the menu is champagne based -champagne vinegerette salad dressing, champagne shrimp bisque soup, etc. So my question is if we have wine bottles as favors do you think that's out of theme with the wedding? we were going to have them because there is a line of wine that has his last name so we wouldnt have to buy labels but it would still have a personalized feel. OR should we just get champagne bottles and personalize them. If so - any suggestions on relatively cheap but nice tasting champagne and where we can get labels made up? thanks!
What do people do with party favors? When couples give out party favors that say "John and Marsha, June 10, 2007", what can you do with them? Do you drink from a champagne glass that says "Bill and Mary Forever"? Are you supposed to display the little doves or wedding bells that say "Our wedding day" or are you supposed to put them all away someplace? Just curious.
Reception Decoration Ideas for a Garden Wedding? I need help thinking of ideas for centerpieces, decor, favors, etc. for my reception. The reception is going to be held in a garden and we're serving an afternoon tea. My colors are red, ivory, and champagne and the theme is sort of Rustic/ Vintage/ Garden-y. I'd like some simple and elegant decorations. Any ideas? Pictures would also be appreciated.
Wedding Budget...am I forgetting anything? So I know I went about this a little bit backwards, but now that I have all of these ideas I have to figure out how to pay for all of it :O) Both sets of parents are contributing, and they want to know where they can help out. I want to make a list of things that need to be paid for and an estimate so that our parents can just be like okay I'll pay for this. I just don't want to leave anything out. I am not asking them, they have offered and want to contribute towards specific things. Any DIY projects we will pay for as we go. Save the Dates (DIY) Invitations (DIY) Thankyou Cards (DIY or if I go with the photography package blow, they include 100 personalized Thankyous) photography (engagement/bridal/wedding day--I found a great photographer that does all 3 and bundles them together in a really great package, including 6 hours on the wedding day for $4800) ceremony venue: no cost as it is a public beach *chair rental for the ceremony, est. $255 for 100 chairs (includes delivery & set up) *arbor (DIY project) *decorations for the chairs, arbor, and aisle (DIY project) *fans and programs (DIY project) *flowers Reception Venue (Texas State Aquarium), est. $2600 *decorator *centerpieces (DIY) *other decor *menus and placecards (DIY) *catering *liquor (I would prefer a cocktail hour and a champagne toast, but my fiance says that it won't be a *last name* wedding without it...I said if he can finance the open bar to go for it) *entertainment (playing music off of an IPod, guests will mostly be entertained by the aquarium) *place settings (china/silver) *favors (DIY pillow boxes w/candy) *wedding cake *groom's cake We also want to have: *a welcome party (ice cream themed...maybe catered by Marble Slab) *welcome bags *morning after brunch (not sure if we want to pay for this yet...we might just be like "we'll be at this restraunt until this time if you want to stop by before your flight") The welcome party will be where our parents meet, so we want it to be fun. It will be by the condo pool at the cabana they have there. It will be on a Friday when most of our guests will probably arrive. The actual wedding will be Saturday on the beach and we expect most people will leave on Sunday when we leave on our honeymoon.
Favor question? We're giving our over 21 guests mini champagne bottles for favors at our wedding. Someone from YAHOO! Answers had the great idea of giving the under 21 crowd bottles of sparkling cider, which is an awesome idea. I'm just having trouble finding a vendor for the cider that is reasonable.... do you know of one? We'd be willing to do grape juice as well, but just cannot find it. We're looking for bottles similar to champagne bottles (187 ml).
European Garden Theme Wedding?? Need some advice? We finally decided on a theme for our wedding. My fiance is wearing a kilt, so we wanted something Scottish or European to fit with the kilt. We finally settled on a European or British Garden theme and here's what I have so far: Colors (to match kilt): Navy blue and champagne with light blue and ivory accents Flowers: Hydrangeas, ivory roses, peonies, rannunculas (sp?) and ivy Favors: Plantable blue paper hearts that double as escort cards - they grow wildflowers when you plant the paper in the ground. Bridesmaids: Tea length satin bubble dresses in navy blue with champagne sashes Groomsmen: Black tuxes with navy blue or champagne vests (haven't decided yet) I'm looking for more ways to tie in the theme with the decor for the reception and the ceremony. We'll probably do bunches of flowers tied to the ends of the chairs for church decorations, but does anyone have anymore suggestions? Unique ideas? Thanks!
Robin's Egg/Tiffany Blue Wedding Colors? I'm helping my good friend plan her wedding. She's not good w/ colors and details, so she asked me to help. She wants her colors to be Tiffany/Robin's Egg Blue, brown and champagne. She's getting married in June, are these good colors. Also, does anyone have any links to pictures or centerpieces, bridesmaid dresses, bonquets, invitations, placecards, etc. She wants to use the Tiffany Blue theme somewhat and is thinking of having blue Tiffany's boxs w/blue and white M&Ms as her favors and possible a big Tiffany's box as her cardholder on the sweetheart table. However, she doesn't want to do overboard on this theme. She does not want a Tiffany's themed wedding. She just wants the colors. Ideas and Links.
any suggestions for wedding donations box? my fiance & i are 100% about giving back to others. our wedding is well over $20,000 and so for our favors we want to have donation vouchers (ie: their table/name card will have a value of "$5" on the back of it) for them to drop in a designated charity box we're planning to have set up in the reception. We're going to donate a minimum of $100/ea to 3 different charities (humane society, american cancer society & operation once in a lifetime) but are looking for creative, disguised boxes so that it doesnt persuade someone to donate to one cause or another. Our colors are plum & champagne with ivory & chocolate accents but we don't know where to find discrete dark boxes. Any suggestions?
so i just changed my wedding colors.? ok originally my colors were supposed to be dark blue and light blue, dark for the girls and light for the guys. at the bridal store they didn't sell the dress i liked in dark blue only a regular shade. so i figured i liked the red so i ordered them in red. the store says it's ok for me to change the dresses they haven't been dyed yet. so my problem is one of the bridesmaids doesn't like it. she's the one who wanted the red so much and i told her i wasn't sure and it did grow on me the red did. but i saw a champagne color in the same dress and i fell in love. all the girls are ok with it except one. i can't find any favors or anything that goes with bright red and light blue. so i changed because i liked the colors better and it's easier to find everything in these shades. it's also an outdoor wedding so i want more neutral shades. how do i tell my bridesmaid that it is my wedding and not hers [she is trying to make it hers i won't go into details about] without coming off bridezillaish. thank you.
What does everyone think about an hors d'oeuvres only wedding reception? I want to have a sunset wedding around 7-8pm during the summer in VT. After, we would serve hors d'oeuvres (both passed and stationed) as well as having an open bar for one hour. I would also provide champagne for the toast. We would still have cake and dancing. My parents said they would be totally embarrassed if they did not provide our guests with dinner and that the reception would be too late in the evening. They are giving me money towards the reception, but after using that I wouldn't have enough money to pay for a DJ, cake, decorations, favors, a dress etc. Please help!
Blue M & M's help please? For my wedding favors, I am putting blue M&M's in little plastic champagne glasses, to match the blue in the bridesmaids dresses. Anyone know where I can buy blue M & M's in bulk that won't be too expensive? The m & M's website has them but they are super expensive. I don't think Sam's has them either.
Are there people who will etch glasses you already own? I am looking to etch a bunch of champagne glasses as favors for an upcoming wedding and while I've etched glass before, I'd be more interested in having a professional do it this time. With most of the places I've found online they'll etch your design but you also have to buy the glasses from them. I already have all the glasses so I'm wondering if there's a certain profession (like an embroiderer, I guess) where I can bring in my own items to have etched? Any ideas on store chains or anything that would do this?
wedding reception halls in NYC ? (queens/bk)? I've seen really great places. But before I make a choice I want to really visit all my options. My Guestlist is for 200 ppl. But we have drafted list that we can invited up to 260 and downsize to 120. But I'm really looking for a place that can accomodate 200+ So if anyone can give me they're opinion on reception halls in the queens brooklyn or long island area of NYC. And the prices if you know and what the packages include. So far I really like the Grand Prospect Hall $110 per person (+18% service charge and tax) But this place & service is jaw dropping And The Villa Russo which has an ALL inclusive package for 9995 for 100 people.. (+service charge & tax) and $59 each additional person. That includes dj, centerpieces, favors, a limo, a tux rental, photo & video coverage, cake, champagne and open bar. But I know there are some hidden treasures out there! The less money I spend on my reception, the more I can put on my house down payment. Esspecially these ppl who have weddings under 5k! Please tell me how u do it.
Can I Do This?? Is It Possible? OK, I have 20K budget for my wedding. We are inviting 150 people. I found a great reception site that includes a full-sit down dinner w/ five hour open bar, wedding cake, champagne toast and linens/flower centerpieces. The cost is $87 with tax and gratuity. With 150x$87 is about 13K. That only leaves 7K left for the remaining flowers, the church donation (no flowers at the church) the pictures, video, favors (no more then $2 a per or $300) my dress, attendant gifts, etc. Is it possibe to do afford all the rest for 7K. If not, I'm willing to cut the guest list to about 120-130. What do you think? Can I afford all that for 7K or should I cut my list? 20K is are finally budget to. We will not go over a by a penny, that's what we can comfortably afford. So, we don't plan on anything else.
What should i do for wine for toasts? Ok. so I'm not hiring a bartender for my wedding and we're not hiring any servers except attendants for the buffet (we dont have a huge budget) either, however I would deffinetely like to have the traditional wedding toasts at the reception. I originally thought about getting 2 bottles of champagne or wine for each table with personalized labels and leaving them on the table for the guests, however, with the centerpieces, champagne glasses, silverware, and favors (each is a small gift box), and a disposable camera! I'm afraid it will all be too much! The rest of the beverages will be in a seperate room with the food but I would like everyone to do the toasts before they go to get dinner since it is a buffet. Is this too much to be on the 90" round tables? Any suggestions on how to disperse the champagne to the guests? i thought of this but it doesn't quite add up! the personalized labels were only if we left the bottles on the table and only cost about $20 for all of them, the bartender would cost over $200 at my venue- it just doesn't seem really necessary! Thanks tho!
What do you think ? Ok so these are my fiancee Matt and my ideas for favors for our wedding what do you think? http://images.theknot.com/blimages/P1293... wine bottle cork. http://images.theknot.com/blimages/91101... wedding day cameras that would be set on each table and guests could take pictures and leave them on the tables and we would develop them. (not a wedding favour) http://images.theknot.com/wsimages/00605... champagnes glass bubbles. http://images.theknot.com/blimages/P1918... personalized Hershey kisses. So what do you think?? Which ones do you think we should use? we want to use 2-3 of them! Thanks
what colour goes best? Im organising my friends wedding for her and she wants her theme to be ivory. I suggested it would look better if she added a colour to it, liven it up a bit (ie favor boxes and decorations for reception). Now I thought either baby blue or champagne kinda colour but would love to hear other peoples opinions. What colour do you think goes best with ivory? Also, can anyone add links to show me the colour? Thanks!
Weighing my options here, how do i do this? if you've read my previous question you know im in a bind. Our luncheon buffet is 17.95 a person for 100 people That would knock off 1795 i can knock off....I can get rid of the champagne toast for 1.50 a person so thats down 100 bucks. I can't get rid of non alcoholic drinks it's 3.50 a person at for four hours. The cake's been paid for so i can't cancel that. We're using silk flowers using hershey kisses as favors, we made our own invites.. no one in the family wants to video tape the wedding/reception because they want to watch it. so we hired a videographer. Heres the question, on our RSVP it states "Join us for dancing, a luncheon buffet and a champagne toast" We have people coming from out of town probably expecting to be fed. How do we tell people there may not be food? We aren't allowed bringing in outside food and drink. the whole venue adds up to 3434.00 thats the food, taxes, ceremony fee and non alcoholic drinks and champagne toast, taxes/tips for those of you who didn't read my other post, check my question history. If you read all my details in the other question it states that i made a mistake when I wrote how much we paid for honeymon it was 2500 not 32500. Again i feel like my only alternative is to cancel everything. we rent a home, we're not able to get approved for a loan at this point in time. I work two jobs. he works one. with deposits if i totally cancel/switch things my dad will expect me to pay it back that comes to 1175 I'll have to reimburse all the grooms mens tuxedos (126 a piece) so thats 882 all the girls for their dresses (120 a piece) so thats 720 I'm making some phone calls here at lunch to see what i can do. Thanks everyone
Is it ok..? If we start calling people early to see if they're going to attend the wedding? I'm asking this because my original respond by date for RSVP's was April 12. However we've only gotten 55 yes and 20 no's. We haven't ordered favors yet and I don't want to order a BUNCH more..we invited 140. We keep hearing through the grapevine that certain family members are not coming. The favors can only be ordered in multiples of 12 and theres a set up fee (as it's personalized champagne glasses with our name and date on them). Hey Kit, it wouldn't solve my problem if they werent' printed, i have to order in multiples of 12 anyways. The glasses will be filled with hershey kisses. I've got glasses from other friends weddings and I still use them! Whats wrong with that. If your gonna give your two cents, give me other ideas for favors... I didn't know about the whole RSVP date thing, it's the date my caterer at the venue and my wedding planner gave me...my wedding planner mentioned something to me about maybe calling around a little early. But i wasn't sure if it was ok to do so or not. Thats why I asked. Ashley, I guess im having issues with personalized stuff that can be thrown away and isn't reusable. I don't want to get personalized napkins for people to wipe their face with and then pitch... I've tried to stray away from the idea of glasses a couple times now and my fiance is dead set on it. Thanks Bride 2 Be 5/3/08. At least you know where im coming from...i never thought about the ebay idea.
