Anyone have ideas for cheap but unique wedding favors? I am looking for cheap but unique favors for my wedding. I am already going to have bubbles and mintbooks. Seems like soap or bath salts are too feminine, as I will have guys also at my wedding...any ideas appreciated!

Has anyone else given unique wedding favors? Unique to each individual wedding guest. Months ago I started making favors for my wedding guests (about 75). I know a lot of people on here have said that wedding favors are a waste of time, since most people just throw them out. That's probably true, but I thought if I made something special for each person, it would be a nice gesture. I used different colors depending on what I know each person likes - Some friends like Harry Potter, Hellboy, music, purple, ninjas, pirates, Shakespeare, Batman, Gene Krupa, etc. - so I tried to add those elements to their favor. Plus each person is getting a stone with their name on it. (For people I don't know well - spouses of guests, I've inquired about their interests and/or made my best guess - so everyone will have something unique.) I know it's an insane task, but has anyone else ever given something slightly different to each guest, rather than everyone getting the same thing? How did it go over? They're already made, I'm just now putting the items (candy, items of interest, etc) into bags that will go into the things I made. We are having assign seating at the tables and the favors will be placed where they will be sitting. There should not be anyone I overlooked because I have been making them as I get their response cards, but I have extras in the unlikely event that someone was over-looked. I need some ideas on unique wedding favors other then candy and mints? I am getting married in May 2008 and I was going to do a CD with songs on it for a favor and candy in the bags. I still have the candy idea but the CD idea maybe getting expensive the way I wanted to do them and I may change that idea. Ideas for unique wedding favors $5-8 per guest? We are having a Sunday champagne brunch and the theme is French and decor is fancy vintage. I need some ideas for unique wedding favors. I am trying to find ideas for really unique, fancy wedding favors that are inexpensive? My wedding is on September 20, and I want everything to be grand and formal. My wedding is taking place in a beautiful old church, with antique wooden pews. The reception is in our local Elk's Club, in a huge ballroom with hardwood floors. I love the antique, old fashioned look of everything so far planned. Our centerpieces will be large glass bowls filled with water, floating candles and rose buds (probably light pink or orange). We have not officially picked our colors yet, but are leaning towards sage. I am having a difficult time finding an idea that I like for favors. My budget is about $1.00-$1.50 per favor. I want hot chocolate wedding favors, but would like to make them unique and classy. Any ideas? Need help writing a "cute" & Unique saying for a beach wedding- see details please? My fiance and I are getting married on the beach in the OBX(north carolina) in June w/ a reception following. Instead of doing a unity candle, since we'll be on the beach, we're doing a "sand ceremony". Basically instead of lighting the candle together you pour sand into a container from 2 seperate containers & it symbolizes your lives being combined. Before the ceremony, each of the 70 family members who will be there will be given a little heart shaped glass bottle filled with sand. Our names & wedding date will be on it. We are asking them to pour the sand into our 1 container which they will find out later symbolizes not only our seperate lives, but our families are being combined as well. After the ceremony they are to fill their bottles with sand from the beach, they now have a unique "wedding favor" to take home with them. We need a short cute saying to attach to the bottle they will be handed that basically tells them the directions- but we want something cute almost poetic. Thanks in advance! (Details on the bottle: Heart shaped, about the size of a small tennis ball w/ a cork top. They are engraved w/ our names & date, we are gluing a sea shell or small starfish to the front of it, and putting green ribbon around the top, which this little note will be attached to the bottle with) Also, please note this is just a cute favor on the side. When we get to the reception site, each person is getting a picture frame, a chocolate sea shell (gorgeous), and we are also paying for their entire vacation the week we are getting married int he Outerbanks. So please, no opinions on what my family would and wouldnt like, just help with the answers! Thanks so much!!! HA. Well, obviously since its on the beach, we're all dressing up but going barefoot. My girls are going to be in sundresses, the guys are in khakis and a button down. We'll put our shoes back on after the ceremony when we head to the reception. good ideas for PRACTICAL wedding favors? We're going to have our wedding/reception at a museum. We're going for something midly sophisticated, and having a hard time figuring out what would be good for wedding favors. Now we have it down to the picture frames that we're using with place cards in it for our seating chart and my fiance wants to do truffles in mini boxes with a sticker that has our initals and the year we're getting married on it to keep the boxes closed. Is that a good idea or should there be something more, or something else all together? also thinking of doing mini bottles of champange or wine, but I know not everyone drinks and I'd hate to have a lot of those left over.
