Chocolate Wedding Favors Knowledge Base

I want hot chocolate wedding favors, but would like to make them unique and classy. Any ideas? My fiance suggested ordering personalized mugs with our names and dates and then putting a bag of hot chocolate inside. A Clear bag with ribbons. Our colors are a dark brown and pink. I would be willing to do both handmade or store bought. He loves his chocolate, so, if there's any other unique chocolaty (but not quick to perish) favor ideas out there please bring them to my attention! Thanks!!!!!
Chocolate Wedding Favors? I am planning on getting married next year and while we are definitely doing Jordan almonds just for the traditional aspect, I want to also give out candy or chocolate as well. I do not think that we can afford to do a candy buffet as that was my original idea, so what else can I do? I would love to give out Hershey's kisses and Jelly Beans (or some other kind of candy for those that don't like chocolate). Any suggestions would be very helpful. Our wedding colors are eggplant, lilac, and silver if that helps any. I guess I wasn't crystal clear sorry! LOL! I love all of your ideas by the way. But how can I present these to the guests without the place settings looking to cluttered? I will already have Jordan Almonds and now I want chocolate (I didn't specify dark or white LOL) and candies too. Oh, I am located in NC. Sorry...
Hi. have a question abt chocolate wedding favors. Hershey kisses have some cute bags with 12 chocolate kisses? each that say "just married" on their website that average $2.50 each ($60 for 24). but really didn't want to spend that much on candy when we are doing three donations (which is really the favor) & our centerpieces are bud vases that will be the "take away" item. Each person will get a program that states the donations which have affected our families (Diabetes, Epilepsy & mental illness) & every couple will get a vase with probably 3 roses. So when you factor in another $2.50 per person it adds up. I thought about doing one candy bag per couple. but not sure how that would be. I planned to buy the just married kisses & scatter them on the table so that way I could control the amount per person (maybe plan for 4 each) but someone on another question said they didn't like how that looked, like it was messy and unclassy. So I do not want that. So I was wondering, what if I were to buy Russell Stover or Whitman samplers that cost less than $1.50 and wrap them. Godiva is too expensive I should also have said that if anyone has other ideas to let me know. There will be about 150 people. Or 100 gifts if it's for a couple or single person because not everybody is part of a couple. so for stuff like that, I plan on 100. But I know that the chocolate is appreciated so i want to do something. And since the vases will act as our centerpieces (Actually, they ended up being less than what a centerpiece would cost, i'm not really counting that as it doesn't affect the budget) But the chocolate does. First I was going to use m&m chocolate almonds instead of jordan almonds, but decided simple chocolates are more liked. And again, godiva truffles are too expensive. So wanted to know if anyone had thought, suggestions or advice. The primary wedding color is burgandy with white, ivory and silver accents. And it is not until May 2009. Thanks to all for help!
How do I make the chocolate to go into my seashell molds for my wedding favors? I think it will be cheaper to make the chocolate than to buy it, but how do I do it right where it looks good??? Any experienced chocolate/mold makers?? Do I just melt down baking chocolate???? Would that even taste good?
Would making chocolate molded spoons to make 250 wedding favors be cheaper to make than it is to buy gifts? i'm not sure what type of chocolate you need to use to make molds, or how expensive it will be? I want to stay in budget, but i also want my guests to have something nice. did i say i have 250 guests.. if anyone knows of any ideas, of inexpensive favors please help
Chocolate as wedding favor? I've heard from alot of people that Godiva chocs are good for favors. But I don't think those people ever tried to buy them for 150 people! Godiva is expensive. Especially truffles. But of course they are so good However, wanted to know what people thought. Not asking you to pick, just to give opinions or suggest We are giving a donation & centerpieces will be bud vases with 2 or 3 roses per vase, one vase per couple But want to have something chocolate too. Godiva makes 2pc ($4.75) & 4pc ($8.25) truffles They also make 2pc ($3.75) & 4pc ($6.00)chocolate sets - not truffles Was told that I could do a 4pc per couple to keep costs down, but wasn't sure if that would look cheap, even though the least amount would be $3.00 spent per person! Could do organza bags filled with m&m's or hershey kisses. But I'd be spending a $1 for each bag & feel that I'd want to give one to each guest Was told that scattered candy looks careless What about 4pc russell stover/whitman samplers that are less than $1.50. Could wrap in pretty paper Thoughts? Thanx Also what about buying individual DOVE candy bars (like 80 cents each) and change labels to read LOVE? I really like DOVE chocolate. They have candies on their website where you can pick colors and sayings, but they cost two much and I don't really want to order chocolate. And thoughts on chocolate cookies? But again - I'd have to pay for packaging. Thoughts?
Is it okay to use chocolates as wedding favors even if they are unpersonalized? I want to use dove chocolates, but they are too expensive to personalize. The wrappers are blue and my wedding colors are rose pink and sage green. I have looked at pink and green boxes 2"x2" to put them in I was going to decorate them with ribbons and bows. Or maybe I could unwrap the chocolates and lay them in a bit of tissue paper. What do you think? ...in the boxes of course
i am having a icy blue and chocolate brown wedding I need ideas for table decoratios and favors? ok so Im trying to come up with creative ideas for favors and table centerpieces using my colors of icy blue and chocolate brown. Godiva Chocolates for Wedding Favors? My wedding colors are gold, cream, and black... what do you think of godiva chocolates as favors? This is them (with either the gold or black ribbon): http://www.godiva.com/catalog/product.aspx?id=1353&SE_Section=Shop&SE_Category=43
What would be a good way to bring lavender and chocolate together for a spring wedding? I need ideas for centerpieces, bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen attire, etc. My colors are lavender and chocolate. Any ideas would be very helpful. My wedding will be in March of 2009. What are good wedding favors that are inexpensive? I will be doing a Two Hearts theme.
Has anyone ever used chocolate covered cherries for wedding favor? I was thinking of using individually boxed chocolated covered cherries as a wedding favor. What do you think?
Need advice on how to make chocolate from ready-made cocoa powder at home? I would like to make my own chocolate as wedding favors but with no idea how? Can I make chocolate with ready-made cocoa powder without needed to go thru the process of grinding the beans etc...at home? Also, any idea where can I get the heart-shaped chocolate tray? Thanks in advance to all for sharing! =)
I need an original idea for wedding favors please help! My colors are celadon(lt green) cream and chocolate.? I need somethings to shove into little gold boxes. Or a new idea. This is a winter wedding in November. My tables are chocolate. So I need something that will delight my guests. Something that they will use and not waste my time and money leaving it on the table. My fiance and I dont have to many things that say 'we'. (ex. Sci-fi films, videogames, hawaii, traveling, music, art, eating, reading, relaxing, working) Also not very expensive. Sounds too hard doesn't it?
Have a question abt wedding favors. I asked before abt chocolate & someone said lindt truffles. I went to the? website & was thrilled with classic bag, an asstment of 45 truffles of 3 types for abt $13. If I gave everyone one of each type in a little bag, the total cost per each would be about $2 ( assume the bags cost abt $1 each). I was all set to start to search for bags in a wine or burgandy color that I could get for cheap. I started on my online search, got the mail & got an invitations by dawn catalog. I went through the whole catalog & while I didn't find any bags, I did find some boxes. I also found some cookie bags. which brought me back to my first thought of doing cookies with a heart cookie cutter at the tables. That got changed to at the end maybe with coffee "to go". But wedding in May. Then thought since we are doing a donation & having bud vases as centerpieces/take aways, don't want too much. But still want something edible. So, what would you prefer as favor: three bagged lindt lindor truffles at beginning or cookies at end with bottle of water? We are doing a donation to charities that help diabetes, epilepsy & mental illness. And we will have a card on the table for each guest that explains this. As something for guests to "take away" our table 'centerpieces" will actually be bud vases with 2 or 3 roses on the table - enough for one vase per each couple. The edible thing was just something I wanted. I was trying to figure out what to do. Then on another question someone mentioned the lindt lindor truffles, I figured that would be perfect. Until I saw the catalog with the cookie bags. I work at a catering hall & I think it's a nice gesture for a winter wedding to allow guests to stop at a "send off station" before they leave to pick up a baked treat (cookies or brownies) & some coffee, tea or hot cocoa on their way out. But our wedding will be in May - that's why I said water bottles. Also just realized we will NOT be having an after party. Because it won't fit in right with our guests and would cost too much.
Want to have chocolate truffles as a wedding favor and want to make them myself - need recipe!!!? Would like to coat some in nuts, cocoa, any other suggestions? I would be willing to buy but want cheap and good so home made is probably best. Please be specific with your recipe and let me know how long they will last - how long before the wedding should I start. I have a huge team of helpers so fret not... Help Help Help...Send me in the right direction please.
What kind of wedding favors should we give? My fiance and I don't want to be cheap. Neither of us care for chocolate, so M&M's are out. Is there anything that doesn't scream tacky or cheapness that is a good wedding favor? None of our guests drink, so bar favors are out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Wedding Favors and custom fortune cookies? I plan to buy wedding favor box actually chinese takeout boxes and also get custom fortune cookies from www.aperfectfavor.com. My theme wedding colors are hot pink and brown chocolate . Should I package the men's favors in chocolate brown chinese takeout and the ladies in Hot pink? I view the boxes, please go to www.aperfectfavor.com
Decorations that can double as wedding favors? I'm wondering if anyone has used the idea to use some part of their decorations from the reception as their wedding favors also? Like some type of candy/chocolate/mint inside of something that people can take when it's over... or a small engraved candle that we'll use for decor, but peple can take as well? And ideas? Thanks.
Where can i find cheap candy for wedding favors? We decided to use candy filled tulle circles for our wedding favors. I got the circles really cheap, but now i need to find the candy. I would like to use pink candy, but cannot use chocolate. We live in Oklahoma and the wedding is in Illinois so the favors are gonna have to stand the heat of the summer. Did I also mention i need them to be cheap. Major budget going on here! Anybody know where i can find this?
Wedding favors: cute or cheesy? For my wedding favors I though it would be cute to do jelly beans in little organza bags. My colors are peach and brown so I bought some organza bags from the dollar store and got some jelly beans in peach, brown, and a cream color (as a filler) and made a few samples. I thought they looked adorable. My MIL thought they looked adorable. Even my groom said he liked them. My mom, however, said they looked cheap and cheesy and I should go with something more proper, like personalized chocolates, or wedding mints or something. I chose jelly beans because we're a young couple (20 yrs old) and I think jelly beans are fun and would reflect our fun personalities and our youth. The wedding is also in september and outside so its still a bit warm and I think chocolate could melt. What do you guys think? Are jelly beans cute or cheesy? Would guests prefer chocolates or mints? (and on a side note, the peach jelly beans aren't the best tasting. Is that going to be a problem? The brown and cream ones are good. I just don't want guests miffed at me because my favors weren't completely delicious. I also don't want them to think I'm being cheap by going with jelly beans instead of nice chocolates) I should probably point out that this is NOT a super formal wedding. It is a dinner, but its costing us around $7,000 total so its not extremely fancy or anything. I usually associate chocolates with super fancy weddings. And I know its supposed to be MY day, but I do want my guests to be happy and content.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Favors? I really love the idea of giving my guests something edible as a wedding favor. I think Chocolate Covered Strawberries would be a really elegant touch. However, they are expensive from a store. So, I'd like to make them myself. How much would this cost me? I'm having anywhere between 130-150 guests and I'd like to give 2 strawberries to each guest. How much do you think this will cost (on average-since prices of food vary depending on where you live. Strawberries are about $4-$5 dollars a pound here). Also, how difficult is this and how far in advance can I prepare them? I was thinking about giving to charity, but I still want to give my guests something to walk away with. I like the idea of giving them something they can eat.
Need ideas for Florida, Texas and Minnesota wedding favors!? I'm Minneasotan, he's Texan and the wedding is in Florida! everyone is from out of town and we want them to receive a welcome package with directions, maps, a schedule, a list of local attractions in the area (Palm Beach) and 3 wedding favors that are relative to the 3 states. we're thinking nuts, chocolate, maybe something else small.....not sure what the states are really known for....help? unfortunetly, not cheesy, custom for destination weddings.
Incorporating chocolate into our wedding reception? Originally we were going to have a chocolate fountain at our wedding (only 34 guests). After purchasing said fountain and trying it out at a small dinner party we decided against the idea. We tried to find someone to cater the fountain in our area but we havent found one. We are trying to come up with a second option. Not looking for ideas for wedding favors, more of an option for some sort of buffet table. Thanks! We decided against it because of the clean-up and trying to keep it filled. The venue told us that they would allow us to use thier microwave to melt the chocolate but trying to transport this then fill it isnt as easy as it sounds. Also, although it comes apart fairly easily you need to do this before it hardens, then you need to dispose of the leftover chocolate, and then clean it again before it has a chance to harden. Because its at a hotel about an hour from anyone's home this will not be an easy task, not to mention that everyone there will be dressed in formal attire.
wedding cake cookie favors? I saw some cookie favors that looked like wedding cakes in a Brides magazine. So I bought a cookie cutter that looks like a 3 layer cake and some little celephane bags to put them in, but I'm not sure of of what kind of cookies to bake. I would like to bake them about a week to 10 days in advance. What kind of cookies will keep? (Not gingerbread-please) Also, any suggestions for the icing (melted white chocolate?) and decorating
Wedding Favors Ideas? I want to do chocolate truffles in a box. Like, 2 chocolate truffles in a small box. The Godiva set goes for $3.25 a pop so thats too expensive. Where else can I get 2 chocolate truffles in a box for wedding favors? I will use ribbon to make the boxes look pretty.
Any great ideas for a Strawberry-Chocolate Wedding? We are getting married next summer and I'm trying to get some great ideas. The theme will be Strawberry-Chocolate my Bridesmaid will be in a strawberry colored dress and the groomsmen in Brown chocolate (dark) tuxedos. I will also have a big chocolate fountain with a lot of strawberries and differnet fruits... and more goodies. Also my placecards will be from hershey, a personalized chocolate bar as a favor. I have many other ideas but I need some more please. Anything red or brown that is fancy..... Food ideas?? decorations?? Thanks to everyone
How can you color white chocolate? I want to put a monogram of the letter "H" on all of my chocolates that will serve as my wedding favors. problem is, we did a test run and figured out that both food coloring and icing coloring make the chocolate curdle. I want the chocolate to be aqua blue. what do I use so it doesn't curdle?
Ideas for very cheap beach wedding favors? I was thinking seashell shaped chocolates, BUT they are 20-40 bucks a pound, the ones I have seen? Anyone know a good idea for cheap favors for a beach wedding???
How do I make chocolate truffle balls? I am needing to make chocolate truffles as a part of my wedding favors. I need a REALLY GOOD recipe and how to make them. Also, how long will they last? Can I put them in the freezer to make them last longer?
Chocolate covered espresso beans? I was thinking of giving chocolate covered esspresso beans as wedding favors. My fiance doesn't like them and he says he doesn't think a lot of people will eat them. Do you like them? Would they make a good favor?
do it you self wedding favors? Does anyone have any ideas on do it yourself wedding favors? I was thinking of making chocolate dipped apples?
Wedding favors- any suggestions? I'm having a Victorian style, June wedding with swans and red roses (not real swans...). For my favors we are looking into getting/making chocolate swans. Our back-up plan is to fill the little plastic swans with candy. What do you think should go in them? We are trying to avoid the tackiness that usually comes with those plastic swans... I know the chocolate swans is a better idea, and even possible, but I'm on a VERY tight budget. The plastic swan idea is separate. not the same, so no, I won't be filling the chocolate swans.
Wedding favors? We are planning a medieval wedding and for the favors we are wondering for the women would you rather have an organza sachet filled with some sort of fresh scented potpourri or a lace handkerchief... the men.. either a letter opener in the shape of a sword or gold chocolate coins in a velvet pouch? The reception will be held outdoors so there will be no issue with too much perfume
For my wedding party favors, what are some candies that won't melt? I'm having an outdoor summer wedding, and for the party favors, I'm getting tiny gift boxes to fill with candy. I don't think chocolate will work, because it will melt. Any other ideas for treats to fill them with?
Edible Wedding Party Favors......? I would like to have some type of edible wedding party favors for my reception. I get married this fall in Ohio, so keeping that in mind, along with my wedding colors of chocolate, copper, and burnt orange, what suggestions can you offer? We will have about 200 guests, so I think we would want to stay in the range of about $2.50 per person. Please provide any helpful websites you can
Tiffany blue and chocolate wedding? I need some help! I'm looking for square tiffany blue boxes in various sizes (too spray paint tiffany blue for centerpieces) and I want to buy them in BULK... ?? Any ideas? I also wanted to know where I could find colored card stock, plus cute accessories to make my own invites-- but I don't want a kit, cuz I want to get creative with it. PLUS I need tiny tiffany blue boxes, or just tiny paper mache boxes to put favors in-- big enough to hold 2 sheets of button candy (its a 1940s inspired wedding as well) AND any other ideas you might have! Thanks! Sorry that was so many questions in one lol
Wedding favors... plz read details. ? Ok, so I'm having a cinderella themed wedding. I found these castle lollipop molds online and bought some. http://www.candymoldcentral.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=3798 I LOVE them. I went to my local candy store and got some chocolate to melt for them. (I can't stand the Wilton melts...they've got too much of a pasty taste to the finished product.) Problem is, one pound of chocolate only makes 6 suckers. Any ideas on something else I could use for these? I really like the molds, and REALLY want to use them, but I don't really want to pay $200 for just the chocolate for them (I need to make about 250 suckers and the chocolate is $5 a pound). I'm open to other options, not just chocolate, but the wedding is in the summer, so I can't do jello or something like that because it'd melt too quick. Tres Leches- I also asked this in the food section about 5 minutes after I asked it here. Actually, I have more answers here than there...lol.
candy wedding favors? we do not want to spend money on wedding favors that people will just go home an throw away. (according to some posts on here) so we were thinking of chocolate Hershey bars with our names on it and some chocolate kisses. to cheap?
wedding favors good or bad? Okay, for my wedding favors im not going cheap but im not going to give them something they will throw away. My favors are miniture syrup bottles filled with chocolate covered sunflower seed (my flowers are sunflowers and i promise they are good lol) that are yellow, im putting my own label that i found online that just simply says the date and our names. If you have ever been to cracker barrel, im using the small syrup bottles they give you, dont worry they are clean and the labels are off. Syrup bottles ------- http://shop.crackerbarrel.com/online/shopping/PopLargerImage.asp?Sku=156514&Name=Maple Grove Syrup Labels-------- http://www.myownlabels.com/ML555.asp?StyleId=3&ShpAbbv=WD&StyleAbbrev=BL&ShapeCode=23&ColorCode=57&ShapeID=60&ColorName=Chocolate&CatName=Bella&AliasInt=1&DirID=&nc=1&db=8&AreaID=3 like? dislike? would YOU personally like them? Thanks in advance! yes i have sunflowers everywhere. thanks guys! and luv2answer: i dont understand what you mean, they are edible sunflower seeds. why would you plant chocolate covered ones? maybe you misunderstood. lol owell.
What kind of candy should I use for my wedding favors? I purchased some clear plastic cones (6" long with a 1 1/2" diameter) to give as wedding favors, the problem is that I will have 300 guests, therefore 300 wedding favors need to be done, however I cant decide what kind of candy to use to fill them out since I will need a lot cause the cones are not that small I will need a lot of candy, I was planning to put 5 Jordan Almonds because of the meaning, but I think to fill out the cone I would need like 10 to 15 Jordan almonds.Does anybody know where I can purchase candy at a “good” price to, I need A LOT? And what candy would be better? Chocolate, whatever…please help, 3 months till my wedding!
Chocolate wedding desserts? Originally we were going to have a chocolate fountain at our wedding (only 34 guests). After purchasing said fountain and trying it out at a small dinner party we decided against the idea. We tried to find someone to cater the fountain in our area but we havent found one. So, as a second option we have decided to do a Chocolate dessert buffet. I would like to have approx. 6-8 different things to serve on this buffet. We will be providing take home boxes for our guests to leave with, this will serve as a favor as well. Any suggestions for chocolate desserts that can be possibly made up a few days ahead?
Need Ideas for Wedding Reception and Favors? I need some really good ideas on decoration for my reception, I need some ideas that are simple but elegant. My colors are Chocolate, Cream, and Lavender.I've been thinking about decorating every other table with large balloons, but I really dont know how that would look.Im going to need some great ideas for some favors, I want it to be favors that I can do myself.
Russian/Italian wedding: what do you think of these favors? My fiance is second generation Italian, never lived there and doesn't speak Italian (so we're not playing up his culture all that much lol). However, I was born in Russia, it is my first language, and all my family is Russian. Everyone on here says edible favors are the way to go. My idea is to have a Russian chocolate bar with a personalized label on the back (Russian chocolate, if you've never tried it, is AMAZING and the one I have in mind is red with a picture of the Kremlin on it), but I feel like that's not enough of a favor. I thought of adding a little bottle of Italian wine, but that might turn out to be too expensive for both. What do you think? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! The idea is to incorporate both of our cultures into the wedding favor in some way. Thanks! =)
3 wedding questions. tables & favors & flowers.? 1)when attending a wedding which do you think would be cuter, and which would you rather get as a favor. 2 chocolate covered oreos with monograms or one single russel stover Chocolate that is also monograhmed? 2) my flowers at the moment are hot pink & orange roses. when you look at my reception venue would you stick with those colors or would orange alone look ok? im not asking for other flower combinations or colors, just out of those 2 what would look best? 3) would you do aqua blue tables clothes w/cream napkins, or cream tables clothes with aqua napkins? my favor boxes that will on the tables are cream. again-just these two colors. here is a pic of my venue (top right) my wedding is next month so im not changing the colors! thanks for you help! http://www.tiamotulsa.com/a/banquets/ venue^^^
Any ideas for favors for a Pink and Brown themed wedding in Disney World? We're steering clear of cheesy junk.? I'm having a wedding in Disney World in March and I need to pick out wedding favors. Our colors are pink and brown and we don't want to do anything really cheesy. We have to be careful with things that may melt flying down to Florida from New York, such as chocolate and candles. btw Disney FairyTale weddings are FAR from cheesy... They are very expensive and I'm having a NO children wedding that isn't in a park, it's at Disney's Boardwalk Hotel. Budget's not too tight... I don't want to break the bank though. :) Prob about 75 people.
Cheap candy/choclate for wedding favors? I need to fill about 150 favors..they are cone-shaped cellophane bags..the cones are pretty long so i will probably need about 20 wrapped pieces of candy/chocolate per cone. Any idea where I can find CHEAP candy or chocolate...and I mean CHEAP..i'm on a tight budget Or, are there any other ideas on how I can fill the bags with candy/chocolate and something else so I don't need as much of the goodies? Any help would be great..THANKS
Humane Society donations instead of wedding favors? I’m thinking of donating in my guests names to the Humane Society instead of doing wedding favors (the little candies on your plate when you arrive). I’m going to have plenty of other food, plus a chocolate fountain if they have a sweet tooth. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I thought it was a good idea. The idea is already getting put down by two different people that I know. One says that the little favor you leave on the plate is a ‘thank you’ so I have to leave it. Another says that most people probably won’t believe that I actually gave the donation.
making cookies as wedding favors,? Want to bake them about 2 weeks in advance. Any ideas for recipies that will taste good after that long? I was thinking about icing with with white chocolate, any other ideas?
What do you think of these as wedding favors? I have been struggling with wedding favors. I can't decide what to do. Our friend, who is making our invitations at cost, offered to make us some letterpress coasters as well. Something like this: http://www.joieletterpress.com/menagerie/goldfishcoasters.htm We would do a different character for each table, so people could trade. We also thought we might do our monogram on other side...that isn't definite, though. Thanks. If all else fails, I might just do chocolate! April-I thought about caramel apples already...Is your friend making the caramel apples? How much are they running her? I can't make, though, since our wedding is destination... We would not do the goldfish. This is an example! These are what she has so far. We could also custom make, which we might do related to our hometowns... Animal coasters: Baby monk seal Peacock Goldfish Otter Elephant Red Fox Flamingo Owl Tiger Octopus Hummingbird Panda Rhino Fruit coasters: Strawberries Cherries Blackberries Pineapple Cherry Tomatoes Grapes Apple Pumpkin Pomegranate Raspberry Pear Orange

How to package chocolate favors? I am having a disagreement with my fiance on this. When my guests leave the reception, I want the caterers hand out small bags of Godiva chocolate as a thank you. This is not the main favor, so it doesn't need to presented in any special way. I want to put about 10 loose pieces of assorted truffles, biscuits, and pralines into a plain cellophane bag and tie a ribbon on it in our wedding color. My fiance thinks it will look stupid to put loose candies together in one bag without tissues around them or something to keep them separate. He would rather give out those gold Godiva favor boxes instead. But they will be kept cool in the kitchen until they are handed out at the end of the night, so melting is not an issue. Also, I don't like the assortment that comes in the favor boxes and there are not enough pieces. I want to have a mix of my favorite candies. Any opinions or suggestions are appreciated!

How could working with chocolate become stressful ? OK , its like this . Im a chocolateir. This time of year is a first for me since I began working with chocolate. I find myslef doing wedding after wedding , hundreds of chocolate favors for guests, each wedding need different details " I want this color box with this color ribbong and this charm and it needs to say this and, and, and ,and ,and ,and " Then they call me EVERY FRIKIN DAY wanting to change something like 2 days before ?? I dont think so !!! I cant RE- make 200 favors !in 2 days . Then it turns into bridezilla ! What do I tell these pretentious bizzos ? What the hell do they want godiva chocolate for anyways ? its all for looks , its stupid I just dont feel like hearing it today . I got a throat cold AND I got inventory ( 1000 peices) and 2 frikin dealines for 2 weddings due this friday !
Are wedding favors still common in Australia? I'm planning on buying bulk pretty champagne glasses that I found on a wedding website (www.efavormart.com), and then filling them will personalised printed satin bags (from same website) which will have chocolates in them, and also using some pearl spray to pretty them up. That way they can use the champagne glass & eat the chocolates on the night, and keep the glass and also keep the little bag, if they want to, or just chuck it. What do you think of that? Can you think of something better? Is it a waste of time? I've never even been to a wedding so that makes planning my own a little difficult :\
Thoughts?
What KIND OF CHOCOLATE IS THE SWEETEST AND ABLE TO BE MELTED? I AM MAKING PARTY FAVOR FOR MY WEDDING AND NEEDED TO FIND SOME RICH MILK CHOCOLATE . IF YOU KNOW THE NAME OF THE CHOCOLATE AND WHERE I COULD POSSIBILY BUY IT AT THAT WOULD BE GREAT!
How to keep chocolate fresh? I made hershey kisses roses as favors for my wedding reception. I stuck them in the refridgerator and they have been there for about 2 months. Is this going to ruin the freshness of them? I don't really plan on anyone eating them but if they do I don't want them to gag on bad chocolate. Also do you think after I take the kisses out of the fridge they will sweat?
What do you think of these wedding colors? I'm having my wedding in September, and I was originally going to do green and chocolate brown, but only because those two colors were easy to find things in and because the green could be used for any season. However, lately I've been really drawn to this marine/teal color (which I also wear a lot in my clothes and purses) and I want to pair it with cream, and accent in chocolate brown (chocolate brown would be the ribbon around the bouquets as well as some accents at the reception - ribbon around the vases and we're having a chocolate candy bar as wedding favors). Here's an example of the color: http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_bycolor_detail.jsp?stid=2986&sid=15418&cfid=50#reviews The bridesmaids would be in a skirt that color, and in tops that were cream. I might even vary it so that some are in tops in the marine/teal with cream skirts. What does everyone think? And can I get away with it for a September wedding?
