I am planning a reception for my parents 30th wedding anniversary, where can I find decorations for it? I have searched and searched for places to purchase 30th wedding anniversay decorations, but I can only find things available in the UK. I do not want to use anything for birthdays because there's really no way to change them into looking more anniversary-like. If I cannot find many things with 30th on it, I would be happy to go along with solid "pearl" color since it represents 30. Right now, I am making them a scrapbook of their 30 years together, so I want everything to be perfect. Let me know any ideas, suggestions, etc that you may have. Thanks in advance!!!
Where to get wedding figurines for cake decorations in Singapore? I am making a cake at home and I am finding cake figurines (wedding ones) for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary.. Suggestions for 25th Anniversary decorations? I was wondering other than balloons what is some ideas for a 25th surprise wedding anniversary? We were also thinking about having table center pieces, but don't think candles would be a good idea cause it will be outside in June (afraid they will keep blowing out)... flowers could be good but expensive. Any ideas would be greatly appricated!!! THANKS AHEAD OF TIME :oD
What is a good way to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary camping? We go camping every year--big family thing---about 60-70 people. One of my boyfriend's brothers is having a 25th wedding anniversay around that time and I offered to throw a 25th party while we are there. Informal of course, but what are some ideas for food/gifts/decorations? We're camping---so we have to keep it relatively simple/no frills. Ideas? Thoughts? He thought it was a great idea!
70th wedding anniversary open house party? my mother-in-law and father-in-law will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in 2 1/2 months. The kids want to have an open house party for them at the Senior Center here in town. But we are stumped as to what kind of decorations and colors to use. They like bluegrass music but are both very hard hearing, so we don't know rather to have music or not. We would like to have a potluck meal for the immediate family before this all starts. I just need help for this. It is a very big deal in this family and we want to get it right.

I need suggestions for organizing my parents 50th wedding anniversary.? My parents will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on december 28. There will be an early evening Mass and then a get together at their house, which is fairly large. I was thinking of hiring a caterer but I need suggestions as to menus, decorations, music etc...thanks everyone!
My sisters and i are trying to plan our parents 25th wedding anniversary any good ideas? There are six of us girls and we want to be able to show our parents how much we care for them by throwing them an anniversary party. They never had the chance to have a real wedding as they were really young when they married and didnt have the funding to provide. My sisters and i want to be able to do something special and hold a reception somewhere to in a way have the wedding that they never had. Here's the catch....we dont have a lot of money to provide so i am looking for low cost but elegant anniversary ideas for theme, decorations, and favors. I just need help with ideas to put together a night that they will be able to remember.
Tenth Wedding Anniversary Party Ideas? My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in Oct 08. We were married by a judge with only my parents and his mother present. Because we never had a reception or any family event, we are planning a large party to celebrate this year. It is going to be very informal - we are reserving a room at my friend's pizza bar. I've been looking for party supplies and decorations that say 10th anniversary, but I can't find any. Does anyone know any websites that have supplies for a 10th anniversary party? Also, we are planning to supply the pizza, soda, and chips. Alcohol and other food will be available for the guests to purchase. Is this tacky? Any ideas would be great! Thanks! I should probably add that this is not a ploy for gifts. We received several nice gifts when we originally married and do not need any now. We simply want to get all of our family and friends together to help us celebrate. We live in a very rural area of Southern Ohio where, actually, the pizza party is quite common! We will be supplying a full meal and are only suggesting guests pay for any extras they want to order. We also are not planning to pay for alcohol simply because my health does not allow me to drink and my husband doesn't drink in support of me! Thanks for all your answers...they've been a big help!
pearl wedding anniversary? how do i plan my parents 30th pearl wedding anniversary next March??? any ideas for the party in a hall, all i know is the decorations which will be pearl balloons!!!!! I got people to cater food, and music but i dunno what else there is to note down!!!! please can somebody help me out there. thanx!!!
Parents 25th wedding anniversary? My parents 25th wedding anniversary is coming up soon, and I've started planning it. I have a brother, but we're both in our very early 20s and we do not have the resources or money to throw a huge celebration for them. The main gift, I know traditionally it's supposed to be silver, and it's normally something like a clock, plates, glasses, etc., but I find those types of gifts get thrown in the back or on a shelf to collect dust. I was thinking of a digital photo frame, and loading it with photos throughout the years, complete with a removeable silver frame. Then of course the balloons, decorations, etc. Does anyone have any ideas for 25th anniversaries? They're not exactly the type that enjoys a huge crowd so something quiet would be nice. I'm a full time college student right now so any ideas that are $100 or under would be great.
45th Wedding Anniversary Party Ideas? on 9th August we are holding a party for my parents 45th wedding anniversary. My hubby and bro are cooking a 12 course sit down meal, and I'm in chrage of the table setting/decorations/cake/ room decorations. I have the normal ideas about balloons etc but am looking for something a lil different but still afordable. I'm in the UK and the theme is obviously saphire, so I'm keeping it to blues, whites and maybe some lighter chades of pinky purples. Does anyone have any flower/balloon/any ideas??
Does anyone have any unique ideas for a anniversary celebration? My mom and dad are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. My sister and I are throwing them a surprise party and we're renting a banquet room and everything. I've thought of an ice sculpture, the cake, music, transportation, food, table decorations, etc... but I want something to make it really unique. Please help me come up with something that will make them smile. (This is for a minister and his wife. They are not squares but no raunchy suggestions please.)

Need some advice on wedding vow renewal date.? My wedding date is Dec.3.Me and my husband want to renew our vows (it will be 10 years)The problem is its in winter time and I do not have a house big enough for every one.So it would have to be done outside, but then it might be to cold for the elders. My grandmother wanted me to have it in June or July. And if I have it in June can I use the winter colors for the decorations. This is the time our families get together and see me and my husband recite our vows to one another. When we got married we went to the justice of the peace. We had a lot of hard times and now we are starting over fresh.Bottom line no one thought we would last.So now we want to do this right,in front of or families. We are not having a wedding, more like an anniversary with renewing the vows with the clergy. So even though we got married in december can we do our renewal in june.I want this to be special.

Winter Wedding (Vow Renewal) Ideas? My husband and I are planning to renew our wedding vows and host an amazing anniversary party in December 2007. Our original wedding was just horrible. At the time I was 15 and he was 18. It was decided (not by us) and thrown together within a month. Therefor I have no idea on all of the wonderful wedding ideas out there...I am completely lost. I want it to be a winter wonderland....frosty with lots of sparkle. It will be held in the evening. I would love to hear any and all of your suggestions! Favors, decorations, clothing, jewlery, poetry, quotes, traditions, customs....anything you can think of! Neither of us want this to be a traditional christian affair as we are more new age/spiritual in nature. Thank you so much for your time and all of your help! I hope you have an amazing evening! :)
Renewal of vows: what colors are better and where to do it? My husband and I are starting to plan our 25th wedding anniversary/renewal of vows. Our original wedding was a big, formal affair, and was a disaster, from the minister arriving an hour late and drunk, to the groomsmen breaking into the wine while waiting for said minister, to the spectacularly inappropriate decoration of our car by the very drunk wedding party. Then the photographer went out of business before we got our wedding photos! So we want to do a still formal but small ceremony and reception for the renewal of our vows. So, the two questions. First, silver is obviously appropriate, given that it is our silver anniversary, but should we do blue and silver, (blue was part of our original wedding colors - blue and white) or should we find another color to go with the silver that means more to us now? A nod to the past, or a shift to today? I look lousy in silver/grey, so my dress would be a semi-traditional wedding dress in the "other color" with silver trim, and the reverse for our attendants, our kids, who will be 17, 21 and 23. As for the location, we traveled to my hometown for our wedding, we lived 800 miles away where we had few friends or family. Now we're in another far-away place (400 miles away) with a few friends and no family, but there are some gorgeous venues here. Should we travel back to my hometown again, where more can attend (we figure on 25-50 guests max) or invite them up here (we live in a town on the beautiful Oregon coast) for a "destination" event? When I say "spectacular venues" I mean small but beautiful natural places, little places on the beach or in the redwoods. Very dramatic but more than 40 people would be too many to fit. It would be a June event, so spring/summer colors might be better, but they don't go well with silver. Maybe a sea-green and silver at a beach venue?
36 Hour deadline!!!!!? Where do i find cake decorating tips on the internet? Can anyone help me? I'm making a cake for my parents in law's 40th wedding anniversary (this sunday) i can't find any ideas that explain how to make the decorations ie flowers. Does anyone know of any good sites that could help. My thanks to you in advance. : )
Do any other parents feel like their kids have been left out? Last weekend bunches of my family went to my parent’s place for their 50th wedding anniversary. I was disappointed to find same things as always that end up happened. They always talks about my sister’s kids and other relatives kids. I have three kids from 19 to 27. I and my husband tried our best and hardest to provide them with the best we could get for them when we raised them. We have always been very tight knitted family. All of my children were home schooled, we always do everything together, and we have a great life together. My 19 and 24 years old still live with us. My 19 years old is in a private university and my 24 years old is working as a clerk at attorney office. My 27 years old son is a technology support specialist. I and my husband would never dream of letting them do things my sister allows her kids to do. My sister and her husband use to let their kids watch R rated movie, wander off in forest, date before they were sixteen, and let them have any friends the want and other things. My sister’s daughter is twenty three and working as a paramedic which is quite respectable and accomplishment. Her son is twenty six and professional kickboxer and runs a successful art business and does everything range from graphic design, set decoration, costume design, to photography, commercials, and other things. He’s well known for being able to keep client’s expense incredible low and still get the maximum quality they requested. My nephew’s girlfriend is just downright creepy. She have posed in site called “suicide girl” look it up if you want to know what kind of girl she is. Yet everybody in family is always talking about them, mainly about my nephew but they still talk about my niece often and talk to them a lot. They often talk about their career and stuff like that. They rarely seem to care much for my children and didn’t really care much about their job or anything. They’d just ask how they’re doing and what they’re doing and that is it. I and my husband find this very offending. Our children have always been very good kids, always have good morals, and try to live a decent life. Then they get left in dark like this. How could they just completely overlook them and not taking any of their accomplishment seriously?

I am starting a special events planning business and need a catchy name.? I want to plan parties such as bridal and baby showers. Anniversaries and birthday parties, bachelorette/bachelor parties, Christmas parties, sports events, and any other parties someone may want to have. I will prepare from start to finish, coming up with a theme for the party if they so choose, making invitations and mailing them, decorations, games, prizes, food to serve, and even overnight accomodations if needed. I'm not ready to get into the whole wedding planning aspect but I hope to graduate to that eventually. I would like a name that starts at the beginning of the alphabet if possible (since some people look in the phone book and call the first one they find) but I want something that is catchy, neat, unique, and shows that no party is too small or large. I am also looking for a catch phrase for my new business. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
