Which is the best restaurant in Chicago for a first wedding anniversary dinner? Next week is our first wedding anniversary and I would like to take my wife to some great place. Historically, our special occasion restaurant has been Benihana, if that gives you a clue about the level of class and atmosphere I want. how should you celebrate your first wedding anniversary alone? My husband and I would be celebrating our first wedding anniversary this sunday, April 13th, but hit a major bump in the road about 2 1/2 months ago. As a result we were trying to give each other some "alone time" while we still lived under the same roof. Of course that didn't really work and I since then had to move out. What did you do for your first wedding anniversary? My husband and I have like no time alone ever. He works all the time and I am a stay at home mom that works on the weekends. So we only have nite time together. My mom kept 3 of the 6 kids the other 3 were at their moms' houses and we shut the phones off and just had us time. It was so great we got to catch up on everything going on and just enjoyed each other. Our anniversary was today but we did this Friday because thats when we had a sitter. It was great.
