Las Vegas Wedding Flowers Knowledge Base

Where can I get good inexpensive flowers for wedding in Las Vegas? I love red roses, but am not willing to spend a fortune for a bouquet that I will throw away after my reception. I am the type of person that thinks some grocery and garden centers have just as pretty, if not prettier flowers, so I want to get flowers at a store like this. Can anyone give me a tip? I am staying at a hotel on the strip, so would need a place kinda close.
Las Vegas Wedding? I have a million questions--just answer what you know best! I've already researched the www.vegas.com website. I'd like some suggestions from folks who have already wed there... 9 people in wedding party. We'd like some serious ceremony cheese, but probably not Elvis, and we'd like it to be as "upscale" as ~$1000 bucks (just 4 ceremony) will carry us. What's the deal between getting the ceremony done in a chapel vs at some nice site in or on hotel grounds? Do most hotels have places on-site for ceremonies? Which hotels are the most reasonably priced, but nicest & with the best amenities? Is it a good idea to arrange everything (from rooms to the ceremony and reception) directly through one of the main hotels? Or through the Vegas wedding groups? Are some of them better than others at the wedding thing? Is there a bakery other than Freeds that will do small, reasonably priced wedding cakes? Who has best photographers & where are best flowers? Thanks everyone! All great suggestions & great websites. I've narrowed places down to Mandalay Bay, Luxor, & Orleans--just can't decide is I want a free-standing wedding or to do it at whichever hotel I settle on. Anyone know which hotels have suites with a separate bedroom?
I need some help deciding, wedding in vegas? Ok, let me explain a bit about what I am looking for in terms of what I want to do. I am pretty simple, it will be just my fiancee and I and I just basically want to wear a dress and get pictures. ha. I definately don't want to be cheesy though and do the elvis thing.. so here is a list of all the chapels, if someone could give me some advice on some of these places, like go here or stay away from this place.. etc.. How does this sound for a wedding in Las Vegas in May 2007? I need your opinion. We are on a tight budget, but I think this sounds cool- Everything from this point will be paid for by the bride and groom. We will marry at the Little Chapel of the Flowers at 5 p.m. in May. After the wedding, everyone go to a buffet-one on the strip within walking distance from the Chapel. After the buffet, everyone come to our hotel suite at the Stratosphere for cake and a champaigne toast. After all of this-and paid for by the people that want to do it, go to The Top of the Stratoshere Hotel Lounge and watch the sunset at 7:40. After this, go to Polly Esters dance club for dancing.
Wedding in Las Vegas? Has anyone had a wedding in Las Vegas? They seem quite affordable, even at some of the well known, upscale hotels. For $2,000-$3,000, we could do the ceremony, photographs, video, hair, makeup, flowers, etc. if we got one of the packages. Recommended or no? We're looking into it because our budget is limited and we're having a small wedding of about 50 guests. Half of our guests were already going to have to travel across the country. If we had it in Vegas, everyone would have to travel to get there but some not very far (just from California) and we could save a ton of money.

Invitations For A Vegas Wedding...? any ideas for wording, I know not everyone I invite will be able to make it, I was wondering how do I word the invitations, I was thinking something like, Please join us as we say "I DO" etc. etc and then some reference to the chapel {Little Chapel of the Flowers} in Las Vegas ~ We are planning on having a large reception when we return perhaps in a week or two of the actual wedding...How should the reception invite be worded {I guess that would be easier}; PLEASE HELP, I dont even know if I'm asking the right questions....!

After the buffet, everyone come to our hotel suite at the Stratosphere (again, within a short walking distance) for cake and a champaigne toast. My maid of honor will pass along the word that if people want to go along with the bride and groom and all in the wedding party they are welcome-if they pay their own way- to The Top of the Stratoshere Hotel Lounge and watch the sunset at 7:40. After this, we will all go to the dance club called Polly Esters (in the Stratosphere).

i am looking at a wedding for this fall, can you tell me what flowers are in season so i can save some money!? i've heard that one of the best ways to save money on flowers is to buy what is in season, i'm looking at an October wedding in Las Vegas. thank you thank you thank you!!!
Wedding favor ideas? My fiance and I are getting married in April in Las Vegas and we're having a reception here in Ohio when we get home. Obviously we're already spending a fortune on the wedding so we're looking for inexpensive favor ideas. Our colors are red, black and white. We're working hard to tie the vegas wedding into our reception. Our cake will be decorate in fondant cutouts of hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs. The tables will be decorate with cards, poker chips, and dice instead of flowers. So I really want favors that tie in to the theme but everything is so expensive (like personalized playing cards). Does anyone have any ideas?? I'm willing to put alot of time into creating something if you have any ideas for something I can make?? or maybe you know of something out there i can buy? Thanks in advance!!
Anyone get married in Las Vegas? I want a small, romantic wedding (just me and him!) and have looked at the Little Chapel of Flowers website, which looks lovely. Can you get romance in Vegas or is it all Elvis and a bit tacky? A few people have mentioned that it is a "cheap" wedding. The ceremony itself might be but we would be travelling over from England, staying in Vegas for a few days then off to a nice beach for 10 days, hopefully somewhere in the Carribean. So it is going to cost a far bit for the whole thing. I still think I would rather do that than spend 15-20 grand on an over the top day for 200 guests. I might look at some other places in the States that I can combine with a honeymoon. Thanks for all your answers.
I need help planning my wedding. Please help! See details...? My problem is that I am VERY hands on - I want to plan every detail of my wedding! The minister, the flowers, the music, the food...everything! Everything that I have found so far comes in a package! I know this is to make it easier, but I don't want it to be easy! lol I want an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception at the same place (ceremony outside, move inside for the reception) and no packages. Is this possible? Also, I live in Las Vegas - if you know of any place that can help me PLEASE tell me!!!! Thank you so much!!! My question is: Is it possible to find a place that will let me do everything myself and NOT make me buy a package. If so, do you have any suggestions?
Any ideas for a "Casino" themed wedding reception? I'm getting married and we are having the ceremony in Las Vegas. We are having a reception back home two weeks later. We want to bring Vegas back to the people that won't be able to make it to the wedding. Any decorating ideas? We are already renting casino tables. Also the colors of the wedding are hot pink and black. I'm not big on flowers. Maybe make flowers out of playing cards...anyone know how? Our cake is going to be 3 playing cards (Queen of hearts>me, King of hearts>my fiance and a Ace of hearts>my daughter....our table cloths are black...I want the reception to feel fun but not super cheap and tacky...any ideas?
What should I do? I need another perspective!?I am getting married May 10th 08.? I asked my sister to be my Matron of Honor. I knew financially she couldnt do anything because shes on welfare but I wanted to have her by my side as well as her daughter my niece as the flower girl. I told her not to worry I would cover all that would be necessary. As far as the dress, shoes, hair, makeup, accomodations and transportation. We live in California but we are having our wedding in Las Vegas. She said she would be happy to. And so I got her dress, shoes, a condo for 4 days 3 nights. I have also got everything my niece needs as well. The whole process has been painful. Everyday or every other day she tells me she cant be in the wedding and that neither can my niece. For financial reasons. So then I cover whatever it is and then shes back in. On Monday she called to find out about the gas money for the trip. We came up with $200.00 for the roundtrip. She said $250. Refused to give an explanation for the amount or they wont be in the wedding. My fiance wants her out of wedding If i cut her out of the wedding Im going to lose her and my niece in my life. If I leave her in the wedding how much more is it going to cost or drain me emotionally. Ive spent tons on having them both in the wedding because I love them both. I feel like shes totally taking advantage of me and the situation. Shes bringing her husband for the trip and we will be paying to feed him for 4 days three nights as well but he isnt even coming to the wedding. Ive done everything i can.
Do you think this is romantic? Long story? On Memorial day 1997 I met Don at a party at his house. He was in the army stationed at Ft. Knox. We hit it off right away, but he only had 30 days left in the army. When his time was up, he asked me to move back to Las Vegas with him. Eventually we were married, but it only lasted 31/2 years. I moved back home and we lost touch for 17 years. April 13, 2007 (our wedding anniversary), my father passed away. For some reason I wanted to talk to Don. I found a friend in Arizona that still had his phone number and he called him for me. Don called me back the next day. On Memorial Day weekend (exactly 20 years from when we met), I flew out to spend a week with him. Then on Labor Day weekend I flew out for 2 weeks. Then at the end of September I and a friend moved out to Las Vegas. We have only gone a couple of days since first speaking again without talking. We spend every weekend together. We are very much in love again and do so much fun stuff together. When we were together the first time, he worked outside. So when it rained he got the day off. Everytime it rained in Vegas (not often) he would send me flowers to my work and take me out to lunch. (the card would read "it's raining in Las Vegas". After seeing him again, it was raining in Indiana (where I lived) so I had flowers sent to him with the card reading "it's raining in Indiana". I was on the phone with him when he got the flowers, he said no one had ever sent him flowers. So does this sound like a romance novel or what?
Future Sister In Law Needs More Money For Wedding? My Fiance asked her sister and neice to be in our wedding. She said yes on the condition that we help with costs since they are on welfare. We agreed - so we booked 4 days and 3 nights in a luxury condo for them in Vegas (where we are getting married - we're in LA) offered $200 for gas for the roundtrip drive (which is more than enough), bought all dresses, flowers, nails and hair do's, planned on helping them fill the condo's kitchen for food outside of the main dinners (a rehearsal dinner and reception dinner). At this point she said $200 is not enough for gas and they expect to get dinner out - they will not fill a kitchen to make extra dinners for their family. We were told by her that if we couldnt "afford them" then they will not attend and that their terms are 'non-negotiable'. I was very insulted and want to pull them out of the wedding. It has been a rough couple of days struggling with what to do... this is my future wife's sister. What do you think? Update: After talking through it, my fiance chose to have her sister in the wedding. I told her though that she needs to manage her better and be tougher about the money.... this is the last time this situation will happen. She and her family are much relieved that it is resolved. Thanks for all the great advice.
should we go through with it???? should we or shouldnt we have a lavish vow renewal ceremony and reception???? i would like to get some other opinions on this...a few people i have spoken too have tried to persuade us not to,saying we should just be happy with with what we had and get over it......... my husband and i were married 3 years ago in las vegas, alone no family or friends, after our dreams to wed in a big lavish ceremony were dashed by my parents and by other so called loved ones, and a few other circumstances....... we always said we would have an actual wedding and even though the one we had in vegas was special it would mean alot to us to celebrate with our friends and family....in the way we had planned to originally i have researched the etiquette online regarding vow renewals....and so far i cant find anything that says that they are weird or just not done!i dont plan on wearing an actual wedding dress...its a white coktail dress with a hot pink sash, and we would have a small ceremony at our church with only family and close friends(about 25 or so),no attendants, flowers girls..etc,a small reception at my aunts house...something simple but elegant.no gifts,or anything like that....... i would like to have some actual photos of us taken and have our daughter be part of it. so anyway.....sorry to ramble on....i just wanted to see what others thought about our plans.....either way i guess i will go ahead with my plans but i wanted to see if anyone else had done something like this...or even knew someone who has and could maybe offer some tips!!! in response....to knobett..... i have been with my husband for 7 years....we were engaged for 3 years... we have a beautiful home, nice cars,a great savings plan for retirement and college for our daughter...... if you had completely planned your dream wedding and then one day had to cancel all everything...would you wait 20 YEARS to celebrate????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I Feel As Though, I"M BEING NOURISHED BY MOMMY!!! FETISH / INFATUATION? Several yrs. ago I would have thought my situation here was gross. Now in mid 20s I'm wanting to catch up w/my darker side(witches, sexual fetishes, attractive older women, etc.)I've become much more open to things I would not seek in past.In HS I may had wanted to puke at thought of old woman fondling me, but not anymore.I'm thinking it's something I'll grow out of,or could get worse.Recently, here in Las Vegas NV I've been noticing (smoking hot)older woman. This one receptionist whom is close to being added on my"To Do List"has been particularly sweet towards me(it seems),asks Qs.such as,whats up this weekend, any big plans, which niteclub do you prefer, where's my flowers,I'm so bored lets do lunch? She's pushing 50,looks extremely younger, wedding band on thumb(why)& wears sexy clothes.I feel uneasy around her but quite attracted. If it's an infatuation for me,how long b4 it goes away?If you're my age is this gross?Tips & advice anyone?Go ahead, blast me I need the abuse!
What do you think of this...? This is a fan fiction for gossip girl. It's 8 years later after the show. So there like 24. I put it on www.fanfiction.net that's why it has the introduction thing at the beginning. Tell me what you think of it. I'm ready on chapter 5. This chapter 1. Thanks! :) This is my second story of Gossip Girl. I wrote the story Triangle on here, if any of you have read it. I’m still working on it, but I might not update for a while on it, since I felt like making this story. It might suck, I don’t really know what’s going to happen yet in the story, just it takes place about…8 years later s they’re about 24. Please review and tell me if you like it or not. If people don’t like it then I’ll take it off. Thanks! =) “Chuck, could you get the phone, please.” Blair said, putting in her earings on. While looking for her mascara. “What?” Chuck said coming out of the bathroom, wearing a tux, with a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth. “Never mind.” She said, heading for the phone in the kitchen. “Mommy?” A quite voice came from the kitchen when she picked up the phone. Blair held up her index finger to quite her. “Hello?” Blair said, politely on the phone. “Okay, yep, sure, see you then.” And with that she hung up. “Mommy?” The little girl asked, now sitting at the kitchen table. “Yes, Aud?” Blair said, looking for her mascara in her purse. “Where are we going?” She asked. “To a funeral.” Blair said, still looking for the mascara. “What’s a f-funeral?” Audrey asked quietly. “It’s when someone dies and you go pay you’re respect by going to hear stories about them and just going to remember the person.” She said, reaching way down in her purse. Ah, that’s where the mascara was. “Who died?” She asked. Wide eyed. “You know Nate?” Blair asked. “Yeah!” She said, smiling. She loved Nate. “Will he be there too?” Now Audrey was excited. “Well, of course. His dad died.” Blair said, sadly. “Oh. Tell him he can borrow my dad if he wants.” She said, and was off into the living room to finish watching Arthur. Blair smiled. She was pretty smart for a three year old. Her name was Audrey, but they called her Aud for short. She had long hair, Blair’s curls and Chuck’s coulor. Her face was mixed with both of their features. It all happened when Blair and Chuck started to go out again and the second time they slept together, she got pregnant. She was first scared then excited. She had always wanted to be a mom. When she told Chuck he suggested they get married, Blair thought he was crazy at first but then it grew on her and then they eloped in Las Vegas (AN; That’s what my parents did lol) Then about seven months later had Audrey. After her 3rd birthday Chuck and Blair started to fight a lot. It was all the stress in Audrey starting pre-school and just more work. Chuck came down stairs and broke her thoughts. “You ready?” He said, putting on his tie. “I just need to go get Aud in her dress.” She said going to get Audrey. “Oh yeah, we’re picking up Dan and Serena too on the way there.” She called to him from the living room. “Okay.” Chuck said, wrapping the flowers that they brought Nate in paper. Serena tried to reach for her black coat but couldn’t because her seventh month swelling belly was in the way. Dan walked up from the down stairs and almost ran straight over to her. “Serena, Serena. Let me get it.” Dan said reaching for her coat way up top. “Okay. But you know I’m capable of doing it. It just might take me a while.” She said pulling on the coat once Dan handed it to her. “I really don’t think we have a sentry.” Dan said, pulling on his own coat. Serena laughed. “Thanks. But I don’t think the world is ready for you lame jokes.” She went to sit on the couch in the family room. Dan laughed too. “I’m going to go work, on my lab top, while you wait.” He said running to their room. Serena looked around the room. First the fire place caught her eye. She looked at it. There a picture of Audrey smiling, at the beach. Then there was a picture of Dan and Serena on there wedding day. They got married on the beach in the Bahamas. Next was a picture of Chuck and Blair on their wedding day, looking all happy. Even though no one was invited to there wedding they still got lots of pictures done. Then next to it was a picture of Eric and Jenny in France. They weren’t married yet, but they have been going out for about a year now, After that picture there were no more. But Serena put her hand on her belly and knew that would soon change. Just then Serena heard a knock at the door, she was star told and walked up to the door, to open it. Once she did. She was star told even more. “SERENA!!!!” Serena looked down and saw Audrey there, yelling her name. Then saw Blair coming up behind her. Audrey went to hug Serena. “Hunny be careful.” Blair said, meaning Serena’s big stomach. “OH RIGHT!” Audrey blushed, forgetting. “It’s okay Aud.” Serena said, looking behind her to see Dan walking down the stairs. “DANNY!!!” Audrey yelled once again. She had a habit of calling him that. But he didn’t mind. “Hey, Adu.” Dan said, patting her head. “Sorry, guys she just had to come up here with me, to get you guys.” Blair said, moving Audrey’s hand away from the flower she was about to pick. “It’s alright.” Serena said smiling. Then they heard the horn honk from the car. They looked over and saw Chuck wearing his sunglasses, waiting. “We should probably get going.” Blair laughed slightly. “Yeah, just let me get my purse.” Serena said, going to get it off the bench in the front hall. When they were all set, they started walking to the car. Blair held Audrey’s hand. “I want to hold Serena’s hand!” Audrey was like this every time she was around Serena. She loved her. “Aud, were almost at the car. You can hold her hand when we get there.” Blair said, helping Audrey into the car and helping her into her car seat, then moving her pigtails out of the way to buckle her seatbelt. Audrey looked at Serena for her to approve. Serena just smiled and noted, then Dan and her got into the car. And they were off. Once they got there, Audrey jumped out, once she got out of her car seat. Then waited for Serena to get out of the car and jumped up and grabbed her hand. “Mommy where’s Nate?” Audrey asked really wanting to see him. “He’s probably already here. But Aud please, don’t be foolish around him. He’s having a rough day. Just be nice to him. Okay?” Blair said. Meaning it. “Okay.” Audrey said looking a little sad. But then right back to her normal self. They saw Nate standing over by the stone in a black suit. They all walked over to him. Serena first. “Hey Nate.” Serena said, hugging him. “Hey.” Nate said, hugging her back, with all the strength he had. “Eric and Jenny really wish they could be here, with you.” Serena said. Eric and Jenny were in Rome for two weeks and just got the news about Nate’s dad a week ago. They wished him all their love. Then when everyone was finished hugging him and patting him on back. The service started. They all sat down to listen. So was it any good? Be honest because if it’s not I won’t write anymore. The next chapter will be better, I hope. lol, please R&R, and I will love you forever! Thanks! =D
