Cheap *online* beach wedding...HELP!? So here is my deal, My fiance and I are living overseas on this tiny island, and we just found out a week ago our families are going to be able to make it to our wedding (which we are having on island... we originally thought it would be nice to have it be just our friends out here) long story short, we are trying to throw something simple/classic/nice but most importantly CHEAP (their plan tickets are already $1700 each...and we are planing on have another wedding back in the states in a year) So needless to say, shopping on this island for a simple white dress (that doesn't make me look like a hooker) is pretty difficult. My fiance and I are set to get married at the end of November and she wants me to give her some examples of what she should wear. CHEAP Unique WEDDING & venue ideas for less then 60? My partner and I have been together for 8 years, have our third child on the way and are STILL not married! Finances are our biggest issue. Luckily I want a wedding which is small and intimate. And although I can come up with ideas for cheaper alternatives for table decorations, dresses and food I can't find anywhere unique or unusual. I love the idea of a beach wedding and bbq at a beach house.... but WHERE?? I figured we could hire a beach house for longer to double up as a honeymoon but then is it going to be any cheaper? Is there anyway I can just obtain the license myself, get a minister to officiate the ceremony, hire a photographer to shoot the ceremony (maybe hire for an hour), and make sure there isn't any fee? Can you help answer some questions about my beach wedding? My fiance and I have decided to get married in Ocean City, Maryland on the beach. We are getting married on May 8th, 2010. I'm very nervous about the weather. Is it cold there the beginning of May? I have a couple of other questions too that aren't part of the weather topic. Cheap destination wedding location? I originally wanted to get married in Cancun but it'll be $750pp to attend. At that price I doubt much of our family can afford to attend. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where it might be cheaper to have a destination wedding? The family is coming from NYC. I want something in the carribbean. I'm not really interested in Dom. Rep. or anything that has similar beaches. His family is from NYC, my family is from Miami. And by the time we get married we'll be living in a completely different state because he's in the army. So a "local" wedding would involve traveling no matter what. We figured if everyone has to travel anyways then we might as well do it somewhere worth the traveling expense. What is the best month to have a beach wedding in Cocoa Beach, FL? My fiance and I want to have a beach wedding in Cocoa Beach. We had originally planned it for September 19, 2009, but since moving to Orlando in April (from California) we have realized that hurricane season may pose more of a problem than we had originally planned. HELP?!? Wedding Planning Nightmare? Here's the problem. My fiance is from Australia and I'm from Ohio, USA. I've been with my fiance in Australia for the last two years. The wedding is planned for next year. The planning is causing me considerable stress. My hometown is not cost friendly, so a beach wedding would be cheaper for the Australians. So, I began looking at rental houses in my family's vacation spot in NC. My in laws are pushing for it to be closer to Australia so my fiance's friends can attend, and so his aunt and uncle won't pay 20k to fly business class to it as they refuse to fly coach. My mom wants it near Ohio for my grandparents. One of my bridesmaids has pulled out if it's on the east coast US due to money, and thought a cruise in a central location to be better, as it's all inclusive. My MIL to be keeps stressing that one of my fiance's friends cannot attend an overseas wedding (he has 4 groomsmen/friends that will). She seems to be so upset over the one person. Help, what should I do? We have already decided to have two big reception parties in Ohio and Australia for those who cannot attend. Four of my fiance's friends are definite to go, only one that isn't. The only way that one person could go is if it was here in Australia, but my parents cannot do that. My MIL keeps stressing how awful it is to ask someone to shell out a couple thousand just to attend our wedding when they probably can barely afford to give us a wedding present if it was here in Australia. Obviously, we are not asking for wedding presents if it's a destination wedding. When I mentioned the cruise idea, to my bridesmaids (who are travel agents) they were excited to help get good deals. My MIL just told me that we couldn't have a honeymoon if we do that, and will have to return immediately for our reception party in Australia. Bleh.

What can you recommend for a private San Juan wedding? My fiance and I are going on a week-long honeymoon cruise that leaves San Juan, Puerto Rico docks at 10pm on March 2nd of 2008. I need to rent a cheap area in So. Cali for a wedding of 250 guests.? I am getting married this July. I have everything except the place! Everywhere is so expensive here. I'm looking for some space to rent for under $1000. I don't want to do it on the beach (unless I can rent a private beach). A large outside yard, a hall - ANYWHERE with some space. I just need the space, I can do the deco and everything else. If anyone knows anywhere in Southern CA (I live in orange county CA, willing to travel an hour or so away.) I'd prefer July 15, or a Saturday in July. I just need the space rental. No catering or anything else. I will provide my own food and my own chairs & deco. I would like to have the ceremony & reception there. It should be a place that would allow this and that has electricity and bathrooms.

Is this TOO cheap? Over the past few weeks, my fiance' and I have discovered we may end up spending more than we can afford on our wedding. Even with a planner, she seems to be adding more and more to the list and it's becoming overwhelming. Here in Miami, there are a few places that will set up a beach wedding for us. They have package deals and most are less than $1000. We are considering having a small wedding on the beach or on a park with 40 guests. After that, we would rent out one of the pavillions (they have a nice one on this particular beach/park) and have a picnic/BBQ reception. We would still decorate in our colors. We were already looking to have something casual, but my fear is that perhaps this is TOO casual and TOO cheap. What do you think?

Stroke of wedding brilliance or a complete disaster? I'm having a beach wedding in Rivera Maya, Mexico and I'm SO EXCITED!!! I know my guest list is going to have to be short but I think it's a good thing. I really like the intimate, private beach weddings and so does the groom. But we both ALSO like to celebrate big things like this!!! And while I want a small wedding, oddly enough, I also want everyone in my family to be apart of this special occasion. Which is impossible. We both have HUGE families and lots of friends and tickets for all of those people to Mexico would not be cheap. But I was thinking.... what if we just threw a large reception when we got back to the states? A HUGE one that we could invite everyone too. If we did it that way we'd have to have the reception after the honeymoon which is a little backwards. And the bulk of our invitations would be for the reception only (not the wedding)... would people perceive that as rude?

What do you think of this dress for a Greek wedding? I am getting married in Corfu, Greece soon and don't want to spend a fortune on a wedding dress as it will essentially be a beach wedding so I am looking for something cool and comfortable. I have ordered the dress to see what it is like on. I am pretty much set on an Amanda Wakeley gown but the normal wedding dresses are in excess of £2000 so that is why I was thinking of just getting a budget version by the same designer considering it will be a low-key wedding abroad. I thought the Grecian style of it was perfect for Corfu also! So it looks like if I don't like this dress then I will be forking out at least £2000 unless I have a sudden change of heart... any advice for a simple, not too expensive, beautiful wedding? i want to keep it simple and reserved. my boyfriend and me doesnt have too much money but it doesn't mean we have to choose for a cheap-look wedding. i want to make it in a resort cuz i love the beach and as i live in the dominican, beaches here are pretty cute. That could means that it will be during the day cuz at night im gonna have a big suprised for my future husband (ie. A very Special Dinner).... so what kind of dress would i have to wear? what kind of decoration, food, apperitizers should i have to prepare??? I was thinking of - as soon i know about designing - to prepare the flowers bucket and invitations myself. can you help me? Im getting married within 6 months, So i guess i dont have too much time.

December Wedding? i have always wanted to have a summer wedding but my guys grandparents and parents were married on the same day in dec like the 30th or something i love that i think its great im all for it but how do i decorate for that on a cheap budget! were broke i always figured we could have it on a beach small cheap ya know now im lost i only have 10 months to get it all figured out. What kind of wedding would be cheaper? Me and my finance will be paying for our wedding, but we have too options. 1. have it at home with a reception,ceremony with about 50 or more people or 2. ceremony of about 10 on a beach somewhere. What would be better/cheaper?

Wedding invitation etiquette question? About reception? My fiance and I will be paying for our wedding on a tiny budget. It will be held in his Aunt's backyard (on a beach), because we cannot afford a venue. For our reception we would like to only have cake, punch, & nuts...no dancing, no real food. How do I let my guests know on the invitation (or otherwise) that it will be a "no big deal" wedding without looking cheap? I really need some help with this... Also, any suggestions on mentioning both sets of parents on the invite as well as our son? I really appriciate any advice! Thanks in advance!

I'm having trouble deciding on what to do for my wedding...? im divorced, my fiance has never been married. he wants a wedding. i want to just elope, then spend a week on the beach or something. i feel like i should let him have a wedding, but we are on a budget and i need some good ideas on a cheap (but not tacky) wedding, for about 100 people, if thats what we decide on. if i had some good ideas, maybe i would have a wedding...any help????

His sister disrespected me on my wedding!? Our wedding day, she didn not say hi, congrats, bye or nothing to me. Im italian & i find that really disrespectful. She called one month before our wedding wich i did my self with my hands on the beach and she told my hubby to cancel the wedding cuz' it was going to be small & cheap. and that AFTER her wedding their parents could help him. We actually wanted to do it ourselves, our way, simple, in the nature & with ppl we love.. She after that lied abput me "snapping" at her at my wedding (all i did was walk to her table & say with a smile on my face: Well i come to you, because u r not coming to me!) I dont want her near me, and is definately not welcome in my house. I feel bad ONLY because he is the most wonderful man i've known. Is his sister but she was a B--- to me & my family in our special day. What should i do?
