It also needs to have a little give to it, something light and comfortable (not to thin) but still has a good look to it... How short is too short for a guest of a wedding dress? My dress is an A-line shift dress with cap sleaves. It sits above my mid thigh. I'd say it's a mini-dress. If I bend over of reach for something it's quite revae. I'm also concerned because it's an outdoor beach wedding, and the wind could whip it up.

Is it okay to buy my dress from David's and the bridesmaid's dresses elsewhere? I don't have to match any colors since there will be no white on the bridesmaid's dresses or blue on mine.

Should I plan on dressing different if a beach wedding is moved indoors? I have a wedding in the outter banks to go to this weekend. Right now it might rain. Should I plan on bringing nicer clothes in case it gets moved inside. I am having a beach theme wedding in STL and bought sun dresses for my girls but my dress is formal is it ok? I am having a beach theme wedding in St. Louis. MO since we can't have a real beach wedding with all of our family there. I bought a dress that I think is more formal than I had originally wanted, but its THE dress!
