wedding invitation ideas? I am designing my own wedding invitations, but I need some help. I want the invitations to reflect our theme- the beach. I have found a beautiful set of invitations I would like (Island Dreams from Destination Romance by Dawn), but they cost more than I prefer to spend (our wedding is going to cost less than a third of the average wedding cost now a days). I'm trying to keep the cost at around $75 or less (I have already bought a set of 100 blank invitations w/ envelopes for $20). I would love to have thermography, but not sure how much its going to cost. I would be happy just printing the wording off of my own printer, but I would like an ocean/ beach picture. Does any one know where I could get free pictures that would still look classy enough to be on a wedding invitation? Any other ideas?

What is the etiquite for Wedding Invitations from work...? I just received an invitation to the V.P.'s daughters wedding. I do not work directly with the VP and I do not know his daughter. I know I do not wish to attend. Would it be tacky to send money or would it be better to send a gift card or purchase a gift and have it delivered to the reception? I don't know where she is registered and since I don't know them at all I don't know what they may need. We will do something of course, but what is the best thing to do under the circumstances? On a personal note: If you don't know the person then you really shouldn't invite them to your wedding; yes, I know it's become a free for all, get all the gifts/money you can but, I still think it puts the other person (recipient) in an awkward position.

This is my first year at this school and although I greet many people down the hall, there are many people I don't know very well. My hall is giving me a bridal shower for the faculty to attend as well. My question is, should everyone I work with recieve invitations. This would be an extra 70 invitations. I have recieved mixed advice from family and friends. These are my choices: 1. Send every faculty member an invitation. 2. Place one invitation in the faculty lounge to show everyone is invited, but later mail invitations to members of the faculty I am closest to. L2 spouse visa without marriage photos or wedding invitation cards possible? Hi all, I am in the states on an L1 and recently married my long term girl friend when she visited me last time here in the US. We did not make a big deal out of it and just took the free court ceremony and also didn't do any wedding celebration because there was not enough time and money to do it. Now that I've read all the L2 visa requirements I've found that US immigration wants to see a full wedding picture album as well as invitation cards but I just don't have that. Does anyone has experiences if that would cause implications if she applies for a L2 visa or if there are any other ways to convince US immigration that our marriage is true and lawful? My sister is getting married at the end of the year and as her and her fiance already have a house and 2 children they are having a pretty fuss free wedding- garden wedding then going to a restuarant for dinner/drinks/dancing. They don't really need any gifts but they are wanting to ask guests to pay for their meals instead. Any suggestions for a poem to include with the wedding invitation? I dont want to go to this wedding...these friends weren't very nice to me lately.? So these 2 folks are getting married, and I'm supposed to go to the wedding. I'm single and I should go there by myself, plus its taking place on an expensive cruise ship and I dont want to spend my money on a cruise. I never liked cruises. Unfortunately they are the only pleople I know here, and they are my friends...but lately they werent very nice. I printed the wedding invitations for free for them, and they didn't really like them, they convinced me to buy an expensive ticket to an amusement park only to discover later, that the only reason they go to the park is because the beer is for free there. I go with them sometimes, sit at the beer section all the time watching them getting drunk. I dont drink at all so I'm forced to buy myself orange juice for $4 a cup. Any ideas about what to do? I think we crossed some lines here...
