Do you like the Disney Wedding dresses? Do you like the Disney Wedding dresses? I think they are beautiful. They have bridal and maiden gowns. Here is the website. http://www.disneybridal.com You have to go to the top of the page to collections and the list comes down. You go to the princess you want to see and the word bridal comes out. Click on it. For some reason the maiden gowns aren't on there right now, but they were on the other day. There are supposed to be jewels too, but I can't find the pictures anywhere. If you find a picture, could you post it on here? Also, would you wear one to your wedding? They're not too expensive for a gown like that. they cost from about $1,000 to $3,000! Do you think that's a good price?
Disney Wedding Dresses? Do ya'll think I'm stupid? I know how to look things up on the net. I wouldn't be asking if I found something. AOL has a short article today called "Disney inspired wedding dresses" I would like to see what they look like...that's real wedding dresses not childrens costumes.
Anyone know of any contests to win a Disney Wedding? My fiance and I have been engaged for over 4 years and want to get married. My family wants a big to do but they can't afford it and neither can I! A simple wedding there for just family costs about as much as everywhere else; Disney seems like a good place because our families live far apart so they don't know each other very well and this would be a great, fun place for them to meet and hang out. Any ideas or links would appreciated. Contests or cost cutters for anything else, like wedding dress, rings, etc? I know David's Bridal does a contest for dresses but no luck there.
Fairy tale-type wedding dress? I'm looking for a pretty, romantic wedding dress, like Cinderella's ball gown or any of the Disney wedding dresses. I don't want any of the new Disney wedding line and I don't want an exact replica or anything tacky like that. I'm just looking for something with sleeves that doesn't look like they were cut from my grandmas lace tablecloth. I'm not doing a "theme" wedding or anything, I just want a dress that doesn't stop at my armpits but still looks pretty. I love the look of Cinderella's ball gown and would love a wedding dress styled similarly. Does anyone know of a desiner that has a dress like that?

Is it unreasonable to be upset if, say, your sister (or brother) were to steal your wedding location? I have wanted to get married in a particular location for 12 years (no lie). Since I was 12 years old, I've wanted to have a Disney wedding. I am 24 now and will definitely be getting married soon. My sister is 28 and all of the sudden, she now wants to get married at Disneyland (again, I'd established this since 6th grade and she never expressed an interest). My fiancee and I have been together for 3 years and since we're gonna try to pay for most of it ourselves, it may take a year or so to save up. My sister rushes everything so, she's known her guy for 7 months, already bought a wedding dress and is now trying to get married at Disneyland, out of the blue. Do I have a right to be pissed off? Because I am.
Advice for Disney World wedding....? Hi. I would like to get your opinion on something i cant decide on. We're going to DIsney for our wedding and are staying at POP before the wedding and then switching hotels to a deluxe one for our wedding night and the rest of our trip. I am thinking maybe we should stay at the deluxe resort the night before the wedding, rather than the night of b/c i am worried about having to pack up, transport our luggage to the deluxe resort in our limo ride to the wedding, check in before the wedding, and then we'd have to call and see if our room is ready before 3pm, we'd be done w/ the wedding and reception a few hours before 3 If we did switch the dates and stay there the night before, it'd be less romantic, more $, no limo ride, worrying about transporting luggage and dress. I want to make it as stressless as possible, so which option sounds better? Is there a way to transport our luggage if we went the day before, to do it ourselves, to make sure they dont lose it? thanks!
$11,000 for a wedding dress!!? I watched a show last night on TLC called, "Say yes to the dress" about brides picking out wedding dresses at bridal salon. One bride had an unlimited budget (which I hear is common for that show) and was completely non-chalant about the price. She even bought a tierra for her princess wedding at Disney World. Then she bought a second dress for over $1000 for later in the ceremony. *Did anyone else see this (or similar brides on the show), and have their mouth hanging open in disbelief like me?! I think one of the reasons for this show is to condition brides that it's normal and perfectly fine to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding gown. Brides who bought a gown: How much did you spend on your gown and what year did you buy it? P.S. to SirenSong: Yes, her parents did pay for her dress and even set a budget. But she exceeded their budget, knowing her parents would capitulate. In her own words, "My parents offered to purchase my dress, and they gave me a budget to stay within. But, as selfish as this sounds, it truly could have been any price as long as I got the perfect gown for my wedding day. I was the type of bride who got carried away when trying on dresses -- hence the second dress! Budget? What budget?"
Any suggestions on what to do after my Disney Escape Wedding, with my guests? Hi, i'm getting married later this year and we opted for the Escape wedding at Disney. They do not allow receptions. If you want one you have to arrange that on your own. Since we only have about 15 at the most coming, we thought after the ceremony (at the Polynesian resort-10am) that we'd go for breakfast at the Grand Floridian character breakfast (one of our favorites), Only problem is i would be in my weddig dress and everyone in our party would be dressed up. My dress doesnt drag on the floor and isnt real poofy. Do you think it'd be ok to just go to breakfast in it? We wouldnt have time to go back to our POP century hotel to change. We want to take pictures after the ceremony at the Polynesian and then take the limo to Grand FLoridian for breakfast, which the last reservation time is 11:30am. Thanks!
Giselle from enchanteds dresses? Need help for art project! need dresses from disney's film enchanted which stars Amy Adams as Giselle. I need all her dresses; The white wedding dress the blue and white dress(made from the curtins) the pink dress from the animated scene the other pink dress(made from the rug) and the yellow dress. i need them all in full so i can see it from head to toe!!! Cinderella Ball Gown Wedding Dress?? Please, please read details...? I'm planning a Cinderella themed wedding, and want a Cinderella type dress. I've got one picked out from bridalonlinestore.com, but don't want to stop with the first one I see. *PLEASE, noone direct me do the Disney Kirstie Kelley dresses. I've seen them and LOVE them, but they are out of my price range. Also, no David's Bridal. I had a bad experience with them before once before, and won't go back for a bridal gown. Just for all those Cinderella haters out there...(and I know there'll be more). I chose the Cinderella theme for multiple reasons. It's my favorite movie of all time and I have been a Disney freak since I was about 2 years old.(For crying out loud, I have a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh.) My close friends and family had no doubt that that's the theme I'd choose.
How can I convince my fiance to get married at Disney World? I want to dress as Cinderella and the Prince, but he says getting married at Disney World is tacky and for white trash. It'd cost the same as having it in our home town. It would just be great to have a wedding out of a fairy tale. It will also be memorable for all our guests. *Would I have to pay for accomodations for all our guests too??*
Wedding Dress Idea?? I am absolutely in love with the idea of wearing a replica of Belle's yellow dress from Beauty and the Beast what is your take on this. Me and my fiance are mad fans of Disney World and every holiday we go out to Florida, everyone who knows us knows just how much we love Disney. Be honest would it be tacky for me to get a copy of the dress to wear from my wedding Dress???? Thank you Melissa I had just thought of that idea myself as well. I dont care about not wearing white, I have been living in sin for the past three years, im hardly the virginal bride lol. White doesnt bother me lol. I was thinking of having a Disney theme to my wedding, but dont want to take it too far. going to Disney for our honeymoon. Having our wedding here, because we have elderly family who cannot travel including his parents so thats why that idea is out. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2176/2256038078_eeb5aebab8.jpg this is the one she wears for the show at Disney World in Florida. Its more Golden than yellow
Is disney responsible for high divorce rate? My view is its all disneys fault they pump into these girls heads from the time they are born you want to be a princess grow up fall in love with a prince and live in a castle happily ever after. They can never live up to the expectation disney has set. They sell mickey mouse ears with vails now. They sell wedding dresses for the new princess from enchanted. and they sell shoes that go with the outfit that sing here comes the bride when the young girls put them on.Guys are doomed from the start we can never live up to Prince Charming. Boy you guys are taking this very serious.
What should I wear at my wedding? I am doing the whole courthouse marriage thing. We choose this option because 1) if we wanted to have a wedding, our whole families would want to go and I tend to get shy around people I do not know (like half of his family) 2) neither of us wanted a big wedding and 3) we wanted to spend the money on a nice honeymoon, which we did. We are going on a Disney Honeymoon. I was thinking of a dress, but I don't want the whole full blown wedding dress thing. I want something dressy and nice. I want to look bride-like, but not full-blown. I hope that makes sense. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.
Is it Disney's fault that so many people are unhappy with there marriage?Don't they create unreal expectations They fill all these young girls heads up with idea you need to grow up and be a princess and meet a prince and move into a castle and live happily ever after. Marriage can't live up to this expectation. All these girls dream there whole life of there wedding day. The girls all run around disney now with mouse ears with vails. The shoes they sell with the princess dresses play here come the bride when you put them on. Also disney never has movies about parents they kill off the parents the mother dies in cinderella, the little mermaid, bambi, the game plan, hanna montana, nemo and lots more. The father dies in lion king, air bud and lots more. I think Disney is setting all these girls up for a big fall. And making it impossible for the avg Joe to satisfiy his wife in marriage because they expect the fairy tale. My therory on life is here on Earth there is no happily ever after thats all just a fairy tale.
who would you marry and what would your wedding be like and were would you go on your hunnymoon? I WOULD LIKE TO MARRY A BOY NAMED COLE OUR WEDDING WOULD BE A HAWIAN THEME AND IT BE INFLORDIA I WOULD GET A SKY BLUE COLOR DRESS WITH DIAMONDS EVERYWHERE AND HE WOULD BE IN A WHITE TUX AND EVERYONE WOULD BE THERE AND THERE WOULD BE WHITE ROSES AND IT WOULD BE BY THE OCEAN AND THERE WOULD BE A 6 FOOT CAKE WITH CANDY ON IT AND FOR OUR HUNNYMOON WE WOULD GO TO DISNEY LAND IN A BLACK STRECH HUMMER WE WOULD STAY THERE FOR 1 WEEK AND HAVE THE TIME OF OUR LIFES!! (;+)LOL
Where can I find and buy flower girl dresses by the designer 'Cinderella'? We saw some dresses in TK Maxx that would have been perfect for our flower girls for our wedding in August. However, because it was TK Maxx, they only had a small selection of ages available. They were by a designer called 'Cinderella', but a Google search for this brings up only a few ebay auctions, and the rest are regarding the Disney character. Can anyone tell me where I can buy these dresses and be able to choose appropriate sizes for our flower girls? Alternatively, if no-one can provide this answer, I will give Best Answer to someone who can recommend an excellent website for 'affordable' flower girl's dresses (below £30).
Depression about my wedding, any advice? Ok, this is probably going to sound stupid, but my fiance is paying for our entire wedding and honeymoon. I don't have any money to pitch in for the wedding, I'm still living with my mom and I'm trying to help her out financially. With rising prices of gas and groceries, we can barely afford to live out here, mom doesn't make much and neither do I. My fiance just got a great job and he is going to be the one paying for our wedding, he's already told me he's ok with it and plans to do it. But, I don't want him to pay for everything! I don't think it's right, and I want to do my part to pitch in! He knows I can't do it, and he knows I've worked hard to plan everything so far, so he's leaving the planning up to me. I just want to be able to contribute something to the wedding, even if it's small. We've cut down on everything: eloping now and going to cabin instead of Disney World. I'm wearing an old prom dress. Any ideas on how I can help him out? Even if I have no money? The wearing the old prom dress idea was mine, and I simply want to wear it again so bad! We're having an elopement, and he's paying around $3000-$4000 for the wedding and honeymoon. I just don't feel like he should have to pay it all. My mom can't really afford to host our wedding, and that's why I'm still helping her out, trying to get her caught up. He understands that this is very important to me, my mom really needs this help, and he is just ready to jump and take action! It's so sweet, and I know it's because he wants to get married, I just want to help him. Or do something nice for him to show him how much I appreciate this.
another wonderful wedding question.. help!? i need help with ideas basically. i live in eureka ca. and am having my wedding outdoors on october 10 2009. and were working with about $2000.00. after consulting with my hubby last night, we decided that were kicking out the blue and bringing in the orange. for those of you who didnt see my other post, our colors were going to be bright blue, lime green, fusia, and black. but we want pumpkins.. so our colors are now orange, fusia, lime, and black. flowers are going to be stargazer lillies and limes and pumpkins. i dont know what other flowers to use, but we dont really want roses. as our center pieces were going to carve out bigger pumpkins and fill them with flowers and limes. then were going to have mini pumpkins around with little tea candles in them. also pumpkins are going to be lined down the isle... possibly lit. havent quite decided on that. our theme was a punk rock fairytale. why? its me and david to the maxx. hes more rock, im more punk. and we love disney lol. were doing the bright out going colors and black lol. also i was wanting little look-a-like glass slippers for favors... but cant find any. im wearing a white dress. very princess-y. but ill punk it up more later when i think about it. were working with about 2k. any advice. venues, advice, something to add, something to take away?? how can i work with 2grand with the wedding i want like this??? oh! i forgot to mention, were also having dragons be a part of it all. dragon goblet for me and the groom and dragon cake topper.... oh and im not really wanting to have a full on autumn wedding. were getting married in october for 2 reasons, its the month of my passed grandfather, and we both were very close to him, and its our favorite month. so we want to not get too autumn -y any idea on what the bridesmaids can hold.... want it simple... ???

Etiquette RE: Future M.I.L and dress making? Hello ! I am in a bind and am coming to all of you for some great advice. In the early stages of my relationship with my FH, his mother sat down with me and told me that she would be honored to make my Wedding dress. In late October, my FH broke the news to his Mom that we plan to be wed in March 2007. He asked her not to make a big production of it because we would like a small, intimate wedding. In mid November, her father (my FH's grandfather) was diagnosed with stage 4 mesothelioma. I'm sad to say that he passed away a week ago. Mind you, because of the sensitivity of the matter, I have refrained from talking to her about wedding plans and whatnot. I might also want to add that she is currently living in Bahrain (an island off of Saudi Arabia). She is in the states now visiting us and doing Christmas in Disney. I think she's trying to occupy herself so as she is not reminded that she just lost her father. I hope I gave enough info in the above to help you help me. Here is the question: I am perfectly fine with purchasing a dress. Matter of fact, I've had my eye on a particular one for a few months now. BUT, I do not want to take the opportunity of her making my wedding dress away from her. I also want her to know that I am okay if she decides not to make me one, so she is not pressured, ya know? How do I bring this up? When? My FH seems to think that I should wait until she goes back home (to Bahrain) after New Years. I'm afraid if I wait until she is back there, if she decides she still wants to make this dress for me, she will run into difficulty getting my measurements and yaddy yaddy. But, I'm afraid to ask her while she is here and risk sounding like a selfish, inconsiderate Bride to be. Thanks for taking the time to read through this, and all advice is welcome.
How to create Prince Charming costumes? Halloween isn't all that far away for a busy teen but we didn't want it to get put off to the last second. I'm going to a Christian carnevil in a group of four(some people may not be able to show though...2boys2girls). We wanted to go as something "sweet and unique."Since it gets cold, and we need the costume to work as an individual, couple, AND group outfit, we are thinking of doing a "Happier Ever After" theme. My friend (the other 'princess') and I were going to try and make our own costumes out of old prom dresses but we have no idea how to create the boys' outfits. We can't/don't want to buy them so does anyone have a clever idea on how to create our perfect princes?(Please don't just say tux-we don't want to look like a wedding party)All we really had to go off of was Disney but any other ideas would be great.Should we both try to go as a form of Cinderella with our matching date or.....(insert great idea...lol)?We all want to do this but need to start planning now. Ideas anyone? Does anyone have an idea of how to create the Disney's version of Prince Charming also?(shirt and all?)We figure if we start now, it shouldn't be that hard to find all the things we need.My guy friend was thinking Czar or something?(that type of look)What are those shoulder things called anyhow?(and how can we make them?)I know there is a ton of questions but thanks for helping! (PS-We are all BIG Disney Classic fans-how else would you get two boys to do this? lol It's going to look cool though-with your help!) We were thinking more this style....lol They, and their fathers, are completely against the look the prince in Snow White has-aka-no tights!lol hope these links work! http://image32.webshots.com/32/7/3/19/2344703190026709573jRBBhK_fs.jpg http://www.aa.e-mansion.com/~rydeen/Resources/020407TDLgCharming01-200.JPG http://www.aa.e-mansion.com/~rydeen/Resources/CharmingPhoto01-200.JPG http://allearsnet.com/acc/cindy1.jpg
What movie is this? When I was younger, my super-religious grama gave me a movie. To all outward appearances, it looked like a cheaply made version of "The Little Mermaid". I remember watching it, and the story line was in the same vein as Disney's Little Mermaid. It was just shoddy drawing and there were a few different twists in the plot. THe most stunning one though, was the end. In the Disney movie, the Little Mermaid changes to a human and marries her prince. In this version, she changes to a human, and then kills herself instead of marrying the prince. Or maybe she married him and THEN killed herself. I just remember scenes of the mermaid in her wedding dress, in human form, sinking to the bottom of the ocean. I don't remember why. Does anyone know what it was called or who wrote it? I would like to find it again but have no idea how. Anything would help. It was just so creepy. I would like to own it again. Yes it was animated. I dont' know what year it came out, but it seemed like it was older when i watched it, and that was about.....15 years ago? I don't know who wrote the original story....anderson? who anderson? tell me more!!! oh yah! i forgot all about hans christian anderson. Anyhow- in the version i watched, she jumped overboard and just sunk to the bottom of the ocean. i remember it vividly. she was in her wedding dress. Was the original called anything other than "the little mermaid"? I would like to buy a copy, if it can be found....
Does anyone recall the name? Hi. I remember going to see this movie a while back, but I cannot recall the name. This came out roughly the same time as Beauty & the Beast (Disney's version). It was a Castlerock production. (I remember the intro.) The story revolves around a bottle of wine or whiskey that was bottled by Napoleon and is set in either France or Italy. The two scenes I recall are: 1) The woman sleeps with the rough adventurer and then finds a picture of him with a woman in a wedding dress (he later says it was his sister) 2) The rough adventurer turns out to be rich, buys the bottle for 5(?) million dollars and then to the shock of everyone opens it and takes a drink. Then spits it out due to it having turned. Not much to go on, but I do recall it being a romantic comedy. And no it is not Romancing the Stone or its sequel.
Should Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Tie the Knot? Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens costars in the very popular Disney Channel movies, High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and the upcoming High School Musical 3, which is going to release in theaters rather than premiering on the network. As for now, they're dating and they're pretty much of a dream couple. They're very cute together and it seems they're very happy when they're beside at one another. I'm thinking in the coming years, they would get married and live happily for the rest of their lives. They would join the string of power couples, like TomKat and Posh and Becks. It would be brilliant to see Vanessa in a wedding dress and how lovely she would look in it. They would even go on a memorable honeymoon, plus, maybe they'll buy a nice home at a nice location, like in Malibu. So if you think that Zac and Vanessa should get married and start their lives together, please respond to this topic if you agree with it or not. I wish them their very best and may it last long.
miserable about wedding? i am getting married in a year. it is time to set dates so we can get the venue of choice since most everything is starting to be booked for my month. my mother has said if we don't have it in disney world she won't attend. my father in law said the other night he was going to bribe us with a rather large down payment for a house to have it in town. now i just want to run away and elope. my mother screams and yells and hits me about it. she gets so angry. my father in law gets on to my fiance. i have cried for hours at least once a week to the point of a headache. i have been sick (hypothyroid) and have gained 80 lbs so i'm not even excited about the dress; but we had my thyroid tested and all is well so i'm working at losing the weight. is it best at this point to elope? i'm 28 and finishing some classes (i have my bachelor's degree but am working on getting computer certified, a goal i've always had) and working part time, and he's 25 just out of school. what should i do? wow thanks everyone! *sniff, sniff*(lol) ... my fiance and i are actually finally moving in together in august. my mom's going to be gone for a week and we're packing me up and going. (going back to school set me back on apartment fundage sadly) then i can decide what to do from there. i know i want a wedding in october, because that's our anniversary. i adore disney; i worked and lived at disney world, so that's part of the reason i want to get married there. money won't be an issue come fall. i will be certified, and my fiance will have the job of his choice once he gets his diploma (x ray tech), and his dad's pretty much going to help pay for everything anyway (yea, luckily money's not hurting too much). i don't know how mom is going to react to all that, but i need to get away so that i can plan my own wedding. i REALLY want an elegant little wedding at our local garden club (it's GORGEOUS) in october with catered food and not an awful reception. thanks everyone; :-) 'getting outta there' is easier said then done. i went to look at apartments and the jobs that are out there won't even cover bills for what i would need. the lower rent apartments have sleazy people and are always in the news about drug busts and guns. the higher apts are like $600 and the average paying job is only 10.50 an hour around here. that's why i'm going back to school to get certified. i also have a car payment (i did the used car thing and it doesn't work) and am working on paying off my internship. moving out is easier said than done. i probably would have a nice little elegant wedding here in town if my mom didn't give so much grief. that way the wedding could be paid off quickly. i know i'm 28 and should be out on my own but i've been dealing with an illness that has been difficult for quite awhile and also my father died a few years ago. sooo .... life's been tough. just a little bit. i am job hunting for a higher paying job and am hopefully going to be done with certification by fall and have a great office job or HR position somewhere. every time i try to move out and have things together my mom screams and cries and calls my cell phone 14 hundred times; i lived on my own in florida for awhile and it was miserable dealing with mom. lol. yup. i worked for walt disney world. i know how expensive it is; that's why i keep trying to talk her out of it but she goes balistic whenever i do. also i'm job hunting because i recently graduated college and she's going nuts from that. the pineapple we cut up the other day was really really good though .
what do u think of this dress? We are getting married at walt disney world. the castle is going to be the back drop for the wedding. I really want a princess dress. what do you think of this one? http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2021&prodgroup=10

Do you think that's a good price?
What do you all think of the new Disney "princess inspired" wedding dresses? I thought they would actually be something different than what is out there now, but it just seems to be a ploy for Disney to squeeze even more money out of the princess movies... Grr. I dont know why it gets to me... the dresses weren't even all that pretty (although I would wear the Belle one, it still is about the same as anything else out there, and I would NEVER pay Disney's exorbinant prices.) (for those of you who have not seen them, here is a link to an article about them with a popup link for a photo slideshow beneath the actors pretending to get married...yay stupid Disney. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070416/en_nm/disney_weddings_dc)
